Today’s card (7-4)
Hello!
Meet today’s card.

I had some serious fun making the background paper here. It started as just a plain piece of white cardstock.
I dry embossed it with a Cuttlebug Embossing Folder. I think the folders are the most wonderful invention ever for those (like me… hee!) who like the look of embossing but totally don’t have the patience to much of it.

Then, I whippped out a pen and highlighted some of the raised areas.

This might sound like that process was a bit tedious, but it really wasn’t. It only a couple minutes. The trick was not applying to much pressure on the pen when I tapped the paper with it. If you really look at the actual card, you’ll see there are a few spots where I got ink on the non-raised areas of the paper. I didn’t think the misplaced ink distracted from the overall look of the card so I went with it.
The rub-on is from Melissa Frances. The gems here are finds from the dollar bin at M’s.
That’s all I have for now. I’ll be back tomorrow.
Happy 4th of July to those in the States. And happy weekending to the rest of you.
Thanks for stopping by!

Love this card. It definitely makes me smile, and I’ll have to try the Copics on my Cuttlebug backgrounds. Thanks for the hint.
