It’s Go-to Gal challenge time. It’s been awhile, but we are back with another challenge.

In honor of the new Stamp It! 3 Ways special issue from Paper Crafts magazine, we decided to challenge each other to make something with stamps. Specifically, something with stamps from A Muse Studio.

So have you heard about The Curious Scrapbooker’s Field Guide 12-week workshop at Big Picture Classes?

Well, the good folks at BPC have offered  a slot in the class, taught by May Flaum, for me to give to one of you. (Can I get a woohoo?)

“During each of the 12-weeks of class, there will be a focus on specific techniques and products. Adding texture, stitching, mists, stamping and everything else she could think of – May has created a class full of information and inspiration. Students will find scrapbook layout project examples each week as well as projects such as cards, tags, altered projects and mixed media canvases. This class features a new colorful PDF handout and videos each week, and an A-Z basics library of 26 videos.”

Sounds like fun class. Techniques and the chance to play along = always fun!

The class starts Feb. 9th.

Just a little something, something here today. It’s based on a recent sketch from Paper Crafts magazine.

I switched things up a little, flip-flopping the sketch around.

It’s no secret around these parts that I am a twine junkie.

I like it. A whole lot. No. Like is an understatement. I just plain love it much.

So you can imagine I might have busted a move (or 2) when I was  invited last week to be part of the 2012 design team for The Twinery! An scary sight,yes. But a happy one, too.

A big thanks to Nicole and Julie Ranae for inviting me to be part of the team.

I’m on Paper Crafts Connection again today, talking about paper crimpers.

I want to share a few bonus projects here again today that I created with my trusty crimper.

Meet #1.

I used the crimper two ways here. I put my background paper through it. I only partly crimped the paper, crimping it on the sides. I also crimped the fabric border stickers.

Meet #2.

I crimped a variety of surfaces here: paper; chipboard and even fabric.The biggest trick with fabric is to remember to adhere it to paper first. Then, run it through the crimper. I used a really strong sticky tape to adhere my strip of blue fabric to paper before I crimped it.

Meet #3.

Here, I gave the foam number stickers a real subtle texture with my crimper. I left the stickers attached to the sticker backing sheet they came with when I ran them through the crimper. For added texture, I crimped them both horizontally and vertically.

Hello all!

It’s the 10th so it is time again for the Studio AE Blog Hop!

So, with that, meet today’s card.

Of course, I used the new Bring on the Love by Ali Edwards (January) Studio AE stamp set on it. The Love You So So Much stamp is from the new set.

I paired it with a heart and “”love you” stamp from the Love Always Wins set (also by Ali).

To create the shadow-y look with the Love You So So Much stamp from the Studio AE set, I inked up the stamp. I stamped it once. Then, I moved it over just a little and immediately stamped it again.

It went a little something like this.

Stamp once.

Move the stamp over just a little. Stamp again.

Remove stamp. And ta-da. Shadow-y effect.

So I’m over on Paper Crafts Connection today, talking about the Sew Easy tool from We R Memory Keepers.

I want to use my blog today to share  a couple additional projects I’ve made with the tool.

Meet #1.

I used the Sew Easy tool to pierce the line here through the pointy sticker to to sew a line of Baker’s Twine.

Meet #2.

Yep. There’s no stitching here.;)

Just because it’s called the Sew Easy tool, it doesn’t mean you have to sew with it.

What I did was start with a piece of metal tape. (This is aluminum foil tape I found at the Hardware store. ) I rolled the Sew Easy tool over it over and over again to make the holes.

And meet #3.

Again, no sewing here.

What I did was use Sew Easy as a measuring tool of sorts. I rolled it over my tag to make two lines. Then, I just placed a gem over each pierced hole.

What was nice is it took away all the thinking when it came to lining up the gems. All I had to do was look at each small pierce mark and plop a gem right on top of it it. The end result: two perfectly lined up lines of gems. YAY!

One more thing: I want to share this with you all, too.

I do keep the packaging that comes with the additional optional piercing heads you can buy the Sew Easy. That’s because each one gives you a couple ideas for stitching with it.

Anyway, each cardboard piece of packaging goes on a binding ring.

I used the new Bring On the Love by Ali Edwards Studio AE stamp set with it.
