Today’s card (1-21)

Hi all!

It’s a two-fer day.

Meet #1.

This is another one inspired by my Old Stuff challenge. For challenge details, click here.

The paper is old 7gypsies. The kraft and pink strips are tape from Making Memories. And the letters are from my stash.

Meet #2.

In keeping it real in here, I wanted to share this partly because I am certainly not an expert marker user. This end card is not perfect, but it still makes me happy. I’m glad I took the time to play. That is part of the reason I love to make cards.

To make the little fella’s glasses, I stamped the bird a second time on white cardstock. I cut out the eyes, added a little clear glaze on them and mounted them to the colored bird with foam dots. I also drew the lines for the handles with a black pen.

This one uses new stamps from Technique Tuesday. The bird is the Wise Guys set, while the music note and words hail from the Glee set. You can see their entire Winter release by clicking here. They’ve come out with a quite a few sets for card fans this time.

Thanks for stopping by! I’ll be back tomorrow.

  1. I love it I love it I love it! What fabulous paper in that first card. Sometimes you gotta wonder why they retire things (although sometimes it’s VERY obvious)…but this paper is SO great.
And that second card, well, WOW?!?! I mean, first of all, it’s got an OWL on it and then you go and add that depth with the gray marker…fabulous 🙂

  2. These are both really great cards! I adore that paper in the first one- I would totally still buy it! And your marker work looks fab! I love the depth the gray around the stitching adds- and who wouldn’t love his glasses!?! 😉
