Today’s cards (2-26)

Hello all!

It’s a two-fer card day again.

Meet #1.

And meet #2.

Both of these cards are the result of a challenge with my friend, Ashley. The two of us recently added some stamps from Clear & Simple Stamps to our collections of craft stuff and wanted to use them.

The grid in the pink panel on the first card is from Clear & Stamps’ Wheat set. The words are from Technique Tuesday.

All the images on the second card are from Clear & Simple Stamps’ Bowling set. I couldn’t find it on the web site to share a link with you.

Anyway, I was excited to find the bowling set. It’s got a ton of great little sayings: “This is how I roll”; “Bowlers always have time to spare”; “Spare me” and a few other good ones.

I have a lot ofย  friends who bowl so I knew it would be a great set to make cards for them with. I don’t share much personal stuff here on the old blog-a-roo so you may not know that bowling is a family activity in my world.ย  My mom, grandma and I all bowled together in a league for a couple years. It was, hee hee, always an adventure. ๐Ÿ™‚

In light of that bowling experience, I made the bowling ball pink, which mirrors the color of one of my balls. ๐Ÿ˜‰ I was and am often teased me about having a bright bubblegum pink ball. (For what it’s worth, my other ball is yellow and has Bart Simpson on it… lol.)

Anyway, that about wraps things up for today.ย  I’ll be back later.

Thanks for stopping by.

PS. Don’t forget to check out Paper Crafts Connection and Moxie Fab World today. The Stamp It! Cards festivities conclude with two BIG giveaways.

  1. Bowling ROCKS. I always did league 5 pin (that’s all we had in our little town) as a young person, so I never got the chance to own my own ball. I probably would’ve picked an orange one though.
    GREAT cards. As usual ๐Ÿ™‚

  2. Teri: Both cards are fabulous but I love your bowling card & the story behind it. We love to bowl in our family as well. So glad you were able to find a bowling set from Clear & Simple Stamps.

  3. Hey Teri! I always see your cards in Paper Crafts and think that I need to “refind” your blog. Send me an e-mail if you are teaching a class up in PDX or Salem again and I’ll come up from Eugene. It would be great to see you!!

  4. I’ve never seen that bowling set – pure cuteness! My hubby has recently adopted the phrase “that’s how I roll” hehe ๐Ÿ™‚ – love your cards!

  5. WoW Teri, those are wonderful. I have never seen a set of stamps for bowling. How cool is that? I Personally don’t bowl. My Mom was a high score bowler for many years and they called me the gutter queen when I was young so never bowled again. It just wasn’t my thing, but my kids love it.
Have a wonderful day and thank you for sharing.
    Blessings,Phillane
