Paper Crafts magazine presents: 12 Designers of Christmas Blog Hop (9-17)

Hi everyone!

I’m tickled to be joining the Paper Crafts magazine crew for a blog hop today in celebration of Holiday Cards & More.

If you haven’t heard of the issue yet, here’s a briefer on it. It’s an all-new go-to guide of sorts of holiday cards, packages and other cool craft projects from Paper Crafts magazine. You can get it craft and book stores around the country. And you can find it online through the Paper Crafts online store by clicking here.

Twelve crafters (me, included) were challenged to make a project using one of the downloadable patterns from the special issue.

I was asked to make something with the box pattern from the cool gift box made by Leslie Webster. You can find the pattern here.

I went a little different direction that Leslie in making a traditional box. I made two boxes with her pattern. I stacked them together and decorated them up like a snowman!

Fun, huh?

If you make one like this, be sure to use buttons and not brads. I originally tried to use brads for the buttons on his chest. Let’s just say it didn’t quite work when it came to opening the bottom box. 😉

 I really wanted the bottom box to be functional so I could put candy in like I did with the top box. 🙂

  204. WOW..he is adorable. We are doing a Snow Party for my granddaughter’s 8th Birthday Party in early December….we live where it doesn’t snow so we are having some artificial snow brought in.
