Zva Creative September DT Blog Hop (9-27)

Hi all!

The Zva Creative girls are ganging up together again today for a blog hop to share a project made with some our favorite Zva products.

I’m excited to be along for the ride, and I hope you will join in.

The Blog Hop begins at Kim’s blog. She will have the complete list of all blogs that are participating in case there is a glitch along the way. If you would like to play along, I am linking to one of the Zva designers and that designer is linking to the next and so on. Be prepared to be inspired along the way. Hidden on 5 of the blogs is a Zva Creative prize package …YAY! Those blogs will be randomly chosen after the hop is over, so it’s important to leave a comment on as many blogs as you can along the way.

The Blog Hop starts now and runs through midnight EST on Tuesday, September 28th, and the 5 winners will be announced on Wednesday, September 29th on each of the five winning blogs. The full list will be found on Kim Hughes‘s blog as well (linked above).

We will do our best to notify each winner, but it’s best if you can pop in to all of the blogs once again on Wednesday…plus, you never know what kind of inspiration that you may find there. All you need to do is leave a comment on this Zva Blog Hop post…you do not need to leave a comment on each and every designer’s blog post to qualify. The more times you leave a comment along the blog hop path though, the more chances you will have to be one of the lucky winners.

Enough chat. Meet my project for the hop (and today’s card). 🙂

The leafy stem is one of my favorite new products that Zva introduced at this summer’s CHA trade show. They did this one, as well as a few other single leaf and leafy stem embellishments. I layered paper underneath some of the leaves here and just let them pop off the card. I think it makes the card look a little more 3D.

I also added some solo Zva crystals around the leaf to add a bit to the look.

That’s all for now so it i’.s time to send you to the next stop on the hop.

That stop is the blog of the super fab, extra fly Wendy McKee. You can get to Wendy’s blog by clicking here. Take it away, Wendy. 🙂

I’ll be back again later.

Thanks for stopping by.

PS… Don’t forget to check out the Paper Crafts blog today. The Go-to-Gals are counting down to World Card Making Day on Saturday with card ideas and fun prizes. I hear Cath has some surprises up her sleeves, too, for Moxie Fab World this week. 🙂

I’m also celebrating here with this week. I’ll have a card and technique tutorial every day this week. For today’s, check out the post below this one.

  1. LOVE the idea of putting cardstock (or felt, I swear, I thought you put felt underneath the leaves) under the leaves so they would pop out! What a great card! Love the way the colored cardstock bends to meet the leaf at the top….in the EXACT SAME CURVE! Oh my woman! Gotta love your details!

  2. The leaf stem is so unique and beautiful. Great idea to add some cut outs behind the leaves. It really makes a pretty addition to a lovely card.

  3. Oh, this is a great idea – putting something under the leaves. It really achieves that 3D look and makes you look twice. Thanks for the inspiration 🙂

  4. WOWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW This is really somethin’ else! I just love that you put the paper under the vine – I hadn’t even seen that Zva product – must put that in my wish list pronto! Gorgeous work!

  5. I love what you did with these leaves! And you always have another subtle element to give your cards that extra level of sophistication.

  6. I really like how you cut the paper to match the leafy stem flourish and you put the paper behind the leaves…makes the whole card pop!
