Technique Week: Crepe Paper Ruffles

Hello all!

Technique week continues here.

Today, my blog is all about crepe paper. Crepe paper ruffles, specifically.

First, meet today’s card.

See the ruffles? Yeah, that’s what I am talking about. šŸ˜‰

They are pretty much the easiest thing ever to make.

Here’s what you need:

* Crepe paper (yep, the cheap rolls you can find in the party aisle of most box stores work well for this)

* Sewing machine

* Thread

And that is it. šŸ™‚

Here’s what you do:

1. Start with a piece of crepe paper.

2. Place crepe paper in sewing machine.

Start sewing and bunchingĀ up the crepe paper as you go.

3. And woolah. The end result? A pretty lot of crepe paper ruffles to use on all your crafting projects.

If you just aren’tĀ to making your own crepe paper ruffles, check out Etsy. You’ll find some great crepe paperĀ ruffles already made for you by Etsy sellers.

That’s all for now. Be back tomorrow with another technique.

PS. Don’t forget to check out the Paper Crafts blog today. Kim Hughes has a great giveaway today for World Card Making Day. Oh yeah, and check out the Paper Crafts magazine fan pageĀ on Facebook. The editors have all kinds of cool stuff going on thereĀ this week.Ā In fact, I heard a rumor that a certainĀ Go-to-Gal is launching a pretty coolĀ challenge on Friday for World Card Making Day. šŸ˜‰
