Studio AE from Technique Tuesday Blog Hop

Hi all!

Welcome to the first-ever Technique Tuesday Studio AE Blog Hop!
Today, I’m joining Technique Tuesday’s Studio AE team and Ali Edwards to show off some projects we made with April’s Studio AE stamp set.
The new stamp set from Ali and Technique Tuesday is called, “It’s in the Details by Ali Edwards.”
The set consists of 13 clear stamps. The set works great for scrapbook pages as well as cards.
The set ships to Studio AE members between the 10th and the 15th. Non-Studio AE members can also purchase the set for a limited time through the Technique Tuesday Web site. Some retailers are also now offering the Studio AE stamp sets for purchase. Check with your favorite retailer for more details about that.

Enough talk about the set. Let’s get on with a project made with it.

I decided to make a mini book with it.

Rather than show you the whole book, I’m going to show you a few pages of it. 😉

All the stamped words in the book are from the stamp set.

Here’s the cover.

And here’s another page from it.

These are some of my friends during a trip to beach wedding last year. Again, the stamped phrase here is from the stamp set.

And here’s another page.

I used a white pencil throughout the whole book to color in some of the words. I thought it was nice way to keep the words from blending too much into the patterned paper.

The book also opens up vertically in a few places. Here’s one of those pages.

Just in case you are wondering, here’s a final view of what the book looks like all opened up.  😉

Please check out the blogs of Ali and all of Technique Tuesday’s Studio AE team members taking part in today’s blog hop to see more ways to use the new set.

  28. What a cute album! I love the cute little touches added on each page. My favorite part, the tape on each photo!

  29. I like the way the white pencil is so subtle, yet you can’t miss it’s effect of just bringing out the words from the background, just enough. Its not overpowering like a white gel pen would have been. really nice effect!

  30. Cute mini book and all about our beautiful Oregon coast. I even know where some of those photos were taken! Thanks for sharing!

  31. I like your mini! Great idea with coloring in the stamped letters with white to make them stand out more. 🙂

  32. Love your mix of textures and patterns. Great idea to color in the lettering with pencil; just enough color to stand out.

  33. I agree, would love to see a tutorial on this stunning album! I’m so curious to find out if that’s Coredinations cardstock, or if the texture is from the album itself. Anyways, beautiful colors, love the use of the white pencil!

  34. You blog hopper participants are very talented…loved them all…definately bookmarking each of you for great scrapping ideas.
