Paper Crafts magazine Presents: 12 Days of Christmas Blog Hop

Hi all!

I am thrilled to join 11 other card makers today for a blog hop to celebrate Holiday Cards and More, Vol. 6, the latest special issue from Paper Crafts magazine.

I was lucky to get a sneak peek of this all new issue this week. There’s a little something holiday’ish in it for everyone: tags; cards; gift bags; adorable table top trees; holiday frames ; banners and, well, you get the picture.

I went through it the other night and put sticky notes on all the things I wanted to try. So many neat, clever and simple ideas to pull off. Top on my list is that cute little spool tree on the cover: A-stinkin-dorable!

You can find the issue at book stores and craft stores all over, as well as online in the Paper Crafts store.

I made a card to share with you today for the hop! So meet today’s card.

We were asked to try to keep our cards to five steps or less. Well, you know, the old T’ster…. always the rule bender. I “might” have broke the rules a little by throwing in an extra step along the way. Heavy emphasis on that “might” word. 😉

The red tree was originally part of a larger glittery plastic fern floral pick I picked up last Christmas.

I think I can get probably 7 or 8 more trees from this for more Christmas cards. Not bad for something that cost me less than $1 to start with.

To make the tree, I used my good old scissors to cut off one leaf and then used some seriously strong glue to get it to stick on my card. I finished te tree off by adding some gems to it.

Leave a comment on my blog by 2 a.m. (MDT) on Sunday, and I will pick one of you to receive a copy of the new Holiday Cards and More special issue.

Also, be sure to check out the blogs of everyone taking part in today’s hop. (That’s because these great girls are giving away copies of the issue, too!)

One more thing: Be sure to hit Paper Crafts Connection today, too. There’s a big, big prize over there.

I hear that big, big prize looks a little something like this. 🙂

(I have one word for the big, big winner of the big, big prize: LUCKY!!!)

Thanks for swinging by today. See you again soon.
