Go-to Challenge: SRM Press

Hi all!

It’s the last Wednesday of the month so it is time for another Go-to Challenge with the Go-to Gals.

What’s a Go-to Challenge you ask? It’s a just a for fun thing with the Go-to Gals. It’s an informal, no-stress, editor-free challenge where we pick certain manufacturer and challenge each other to make something with their products. Some months, we all play. Some months, we don’t.

This month, we decided this month to challenge ourselves to use stickers from the lovely folks at SRM Press.

What I dig about SRM Press is they make products that everyone can use easily, whether you are a beginner or the most advanced crafter around. Their stickers are good for everyone.

Alrighty. So let’s get on with the project, shall we.

Meet today’s card.  😉

The sentiment is a sticker from SRM Press. And the cool border is the side is a sticker from their new We’ve Got Your Border collection. Super excited about these because I really like border stickers.

Other items on the card: patterned papers from My Mind’sEye, Crate Paper and Stampin’ Up!; metal pin from Tim Holtz; butterfly die from Papertrey Ink; ticket from Jenni Bowlin; white mist (that’s the splatters) from Studio Calico and jute.

Be sure to the check out the blogs of Windy, Jennifer, Betsy, Julie and Kim to see how they tackled this challenge this month.

See you again soon!

Lawn Fawn: You’ve Got Mail

Hello, hello again!

It’s another day of Lawn Fawn fun here. Today, the Fawny Girls are playing with the new You’ve Got Mail set!

So meet today’s card.

Giggle! 🙂

The letters, postcard, mailbox and words are all from the new set. The heart that I randomly stamped on some of the letters is from the Love ‘n Breakfast set, while the gnome (sweet little gnome) is from the new Gnome Sweet Gnome set.

Check out the Lawn Fawn blog to see more projects from made with the new You’ve Got Mail set. Be sure to comment over there, too. I hear there is yet another giveaway going on. 🙂

Oh…. before I go… I want to give you a bonus project.

This is one more card I made with Lawn Fawn’s paper collection. I forgot to include in my post yesterday.

In addition to the paper, I used Lawn Fawn’s Blissful Botanicals and Many Thanks stamp sets to make it.

Now that is really all for today. See you again soon, friends.

Lawn Fawn: Paper (lots and lots of paper)

Hi all!

Another day of Lawn Fawn fun here.

Today, we are sharing projects made with Lawn Fawn’s new Bright Side patterned paper collection.

(Yep. Paper. For reals! )

So, with that, meet today’s not-a-card project. 😉

I used a whole lot of the papers with this layout, which I actually made for the Lawn Fawn booth for CHA. The picture is a couple of my buddies and me during one of our photo booth adventures. It’s what we do when we hang out. (Wink!)

The letter stickers are from Lawn Fawn, as are the letter stamps (Smitty’s ABCs) and camera stamp (Say Cheese, Too).

Be sure to check out the Lawn Fawn blog to see more projects made by the Fawny Girls with the new paper collection. Oh yeah, and comment over there, too, because Kelly keeps giving away stuff! That Kelly. She’s a good egg.

See you again soon!

Zva Creative February DT Blog Hop!

Hi everybody!

Zva Creative and our talented Design Team welcome you to join us for our February Blog Hop!

We are happy to have you join us today today! The Blog Hop begins at Zva Creative’s NEW blog!

Be sure head on over if you’d like to start from the top of the hop. You will also find a complete list of all the participating blogs there (in case there is a glitch along the way).

As you know, Zva offers many beautiful color groupings for pearls, flowers and crystals. We want to make sure that they shine bright for you, so each designer was asked to share a creation using a specific color or color combination on their blog hop project.

If you like what you see you can find a list of stores and online retailers that sell Zva HERE.

I have a few projects to share with you today that I worked up with Zva’s latest CHA release.

Meet #1.

Meet #2.

Meet #3.

Meet #4.

And finally meet #5.

Man, that’s a lot of stuff! Whew! 😉

All the beautiful bling is from Zva.

If you would like to play along with the Zva team, just follow along the blog path. I am linking to one of the Zva designers and that designer is linking to the next and so on. Be prepared to be inspired along the way! Hidden on FIVE of the designer’s blogs is a Zva Creative prize package! Winners will be randomly chosen after the hop is over, so it’s important to leave a comment on as many blogs as you can along the way.

The Blog Hop starts today, February 27th and runs through 11:59pm US Eastern Standard Time on Tuesday, February 28th.

The 5 winners will be announced on Wednesday, February 1st on each of the five winning blogs. The full list of where our winners will be posted will be found on Zva’s blog as well. We will do our best to notify each winner, but it’s best if you can pop in to all of the blogs once again on Wednesday… plus, you never know what kind of inspirational creation that you may find there.

All you need to do is leave a comment on this Blog Hop post… you do not need to leave a comment on each and every designer’s blog post to qualify. However, the more times you comment along the blog hop path, the more chances you will have to win.

We also thought it would be more fun to add even more chances to win our blog hop prize!

To increase your chances of winning:

* Comment to let us know that you posted on Facebook or “tweeted” about our hop (link to any of the blog hop posts)

* Comment to let us know that you asked your local store to carry Zva creative products. If they already do, that’s fantastic, maybe you can suggest other products that they don’t carry.

* Comment to let us know that your “liked” our new page on Facebook or that you have started following Zva on Twitter. The blog hop begins here at Zva Creative’s NEW blog.

Alright! So your next stop is Susan Lui! Take it away, Susan!

Enjoy! Thank you for joining us!

P.S. Mark your calendar to join the gang again on March 26th for our next Zva blog hop!

Lawn Fawn: Chevron Backdrops

Hi all!

Another post. Another card.

(Insert dramatic effect.)

“Da. Da. Daaaaaaa.”

Meet another one for the day.

I used all three of the new Chevron stamps from Lawn Fawn’s new Chevron Backdrops set (it debuted at CHA). The birds (or actually the same bird stamped four times) is from Lawn Fawn’s Fly Free set. The conversation bubble is from their Many Thanks set.

Want to see some more “in-action” shots of Chevron Backdrops (and want a chance to win set for yourself)? Well, hit the Lawn Fawn blog.

It’s Inspiration Week, and Kelly’s showcasing ideas from all the Fawny Girls today with the Chevron Backdrops set. She’s also got a set up for grabs that someone will win for commenting over there.  Go. Quick. Runnnnn. (Ok, but maybe come back later if you have some time, k?)

See you again soon, friends.

Today’s card (2-26)

Hi all!

Meet today’s card!

This card is a result of a challenge with the Stamping Techs of Technique Tuesday to make something inspired by this silly sock monkey.

I drew inspiration from the color scheme for my card. I also drew a bit of inspiration from the stripes and threw down a few of them on my card, too.

The words are from the Bring on the Sun by Ali Edwards stamp set. The flowers are from the Chit Chat set. The twine is from The Twinery.

To make the flowers, I stamped the flowers, adhere them to my card front and then poked a hole into them to bring the twine through them. What you can’t see if there’s a lot of tape under the card front, holding the twine in place. 😉

One more thing: Speaking of Technique Tuesday, here’s a peek of something I made with the March Studio AE stamp set.

I’ll share the full project in March after TT unveils the new set.

See you again soon.

Lawn Fawn: Gnome Sweet Gnome

Hi all!

It’s time for another Lawn Fawn Inspiration Week!

Today, the Fawny girls are playing with the new Gnome Sweet Gnome set.

Sooooo… with that… meet today’s card.

I’ve professed my love for flamingoes before here. 😉

So it’s probably no surprise that this set had me when I caught a glimpse of the flamingo stamp. Hello, cute stamp!

The mushroom and sentiment are also from the Gnome Sweet Gnome set. To make my card, I paired them with a few other Lawn Fawn stamps (cloud from Bon Voyage and bow tie from Love ‘n Breakfast).

Be sure to check out the Lawn Fawn blog to see how the other Fawny Girls have used the new stamp set. I hear Kelly has a giveaway over there, too.  (Runnnn! Fast!)

See you again soon.

Meet today’s card and my project for the hop!

I used the all new Metropolis set to stamp the traffic scene. The car, balloon, cloud, words and road are all from the set.  I used a black pen to draw the strings on the balloons.

The dots are from the new Primary set, which was debuted during CHA (It goes on sale March 1st as well.)

That’s all for now. Back later.

Thanks for swinging by.
