It’s another two-fer kinda of day.
Meet today’s cards. 🙂
And here is #2.
I got to help GCD Studios with some booth samples for the recent CHA show.
These are two of my favorites that I made with their new stuff. Both use the new Splendor collection.
It’s a bit hard to tell on the first card, but I actually cut the really large circles first out of the woodgrain background paper and then layered strips of paper behind it.
Not much more to say so I’ll be back later.
Have a pleasant rest of the weekend! 🙂
Meet today’s card.
It’s 2 parts Lawn Fawn (Sophie’s Sentiments + Botanical Bliss stamp sets) and 1 part twine (from The Twinery).
The spools are itty bitty. I found in them the wood crafts department of a local store. I just put a big glob of glue on them and then rolled twine around them.
To make the one with the flower, I stamped, colored, cut out and paper pieced the flower. I cut up a toothpick to anchor behind the flower and then I shoved into the spool (with a whole lots and lots of glue)!
That’s all for now. Be back again later!
Wishing you all a good day.
Meet today’s cards.
Yep. Cards. 🙂
And meet #2.
Words to live by on this one, right? 😉
All the stuff on both of these bad boys are from The Card Kitchen’s February kit.
You might not have heard about The Card Kitchen.
If you are a fan of Jillibean Soup’s stuff, these kits are a lot of fun and might be something for you. They are put together with card makers in mind and they are packed with Jillibean products and then have a fun mix of elements from other manufacturers in them.
I’ve played with the last couple ones and I can’t say enough good stuff about them. They are lots of fun. Everything in them is just so happy.
That’s all for now. Be back later.
It’s time again for another Studio AE adventure. It’s time for the February Studio AE Blog hop. Woohoo! 🙂
So today I am teaming up with Ali and the rest of the Studio AE team to share some ideas for the new Every Story by Ali Edwards (February Studio AE) stamp set.
So, with that, meet today’s project.
This is such a great set for scrapbook pages that I decided not to make a card and instead make a scrapbook page for today’s hop.
This picture is one I found a copy of in the family books recently of my dad from when he was little boy. That’s my aunt and grandfather with him. My dad recently passed away so it was fun to just take a little time for myself and pay tribute to him with this small scrapbook page.
The labels are from the new Studio AE set, while the “Loved” is from the This One (Aug. Studio AE) set and “Celebrate Childhood” words are from the Kids Are Cool set.
Be sure to check out the blogs of everyone taking part in today’s hop:
As a thank you for all the comments received during the hop on all the blogs, as well as those left on the Technique Tuesday blog, we will give away two stamp sets.
One person will win the Fabulous by Ali Edwards stamp set.
One other person will win the Missing You by Ali Edwards stamp set.
You don’t need to leave a comment on all the blogs to be eligible to win. But the more comments you leave, the more chances you have to win.
All comments must be made by midnight PST on Feb. 13th.
Tune into the Technique Tuesday blog on Feb. 14th to see if you are one of the lucky winners
See you again soon!
So I am over on Moxie Fab World today, talking about some of my favorite picks from CHA and trends I spotted at the show.
I thought it would be fun today to share a couple bonus trends of sorts that the four Go-to Gals who walked the show spotted.
The first is the camera trend. Good heavens. It seemed like camera world at times on the show floor. Many, many manufacturers introduced products with cameras on them.
Here are a few of my favorites.
This one was from Heidi Swapp.
Here’s one part of this new collection from Echo Park.
Cosmo Cricket included a couple cameras on the chipboard sheet from their 2WENTY-THR3E collection.
(It’s a little hard to see in the picture so you are just going to have to trust me that they are there.)
American Crafts also released a few papers with cameras on them as part of the Amy Tangerine collection.
I used one of the papers to make these two cards.
Another popular trend we spotted by DIY-style embellishments.
Several manufacturers released embellishments that seemed almost handmade. They seemed to influenced by the DIY embellishment makers of the crafty world.
I dug these butterfly doilies from Little Yellow Bicycle.
And check out these Stix from Heidi Swapp. Just a fun idea.
And Bella Blvd. debuted a whole line of flags.
Don’t forget to check out the blogs of Windy and Julie, too! They shared some additional trends from the show.
See you again soon!
I’ve got a few quick cards to share with you today.
And meet #2.
These are a few cards I created with some new flower stamps Technique Tuesday debuted at CHA this week. They came out with a whole big collection of stamps that are in this style: flowers in boxes with several word stamps. Lots of fun to play with.
The stamps will be available soon on at retailers and on the Technique Tuesday web site.
That’s all for now. Be back later, gators.
A few things have happened in my personal life since I last posted so I am a little late in posting winners, but alas I have a few today!
The winner of the slot in the Field Guide class from Big Picture is:

Thanks again to all who have stopped by.
I’ll be back again soon.
