The “Spring” Technique Tuesday Blog Hop

Hello, hello!

Happy Monday! I’m hopping today with Technique Tuesday’s Stamping Techs. And today we are sharing Spring-inspired projects!

So, let’s just cut to the chase:  Meet today’s card.

Monkeys and umbrellas are probably not exactly the first thing that came to your mind when I said Spring, but they equal Spring in my world today!

To give the scene a more Spring flavor, I used lighter colors in my design.

So the monkeys could pop from the umbrellas, I did a little paper piecing. I stamped from on cardstock, colored them in and cut them them out. I chopped away a little bit from each one so they’d fit perfectly.

The umbrella is from Technique Tuesday’s Spring stamp set. The monkey is from Going Bananas, while the words are from Bring on the Sun by Ali Edwards.

Be sure to hit all the stops on today’s hop to see more fun projects.

And be sure to comment along the way. One commentor will be picked from all the comments left on the stops to receive Technique Tuesday’s Fly stamp set.
The winner will be announced on May 3rd on the Technique Tuesday blog.
On your mark. Get set. Go! 🙂
See you again soon!

Technique Tuesday: Studio AE Sneak Peek

Hi all!

It’s busy here today so I just have a peek for you today.

I’ve been working up some things with May’s Studio AE stamp set (and others) from Technique Tuesday. And this is one of them.

A couple additional hints about next month’s set:

* The set consists of 12 stamps.

* The largest stamp is the longest Studio AE stamp I’ve ever seen!  (A whopping 5 1/4″ long!)

* If you like Ali’s handwriting, you will definitely love this set. It’s filled with it.

I’ll share the real deal project in May with you.

See you again soon, friends. Thanks for stopping by!

Today’s card (and Paper Smooches winner announced!)

Hello all!

Meet today’s card.

It’s a bit of a  mix-y/match-y one. And it was made a bit back.

Papers are from Crate Paper’s Pretty Party paper pad. Flourish is from Zva Creative and the images and words are from Paper Smooches’ Pretty Momma stamp set.

I gave the flower a little extra “ummph” by stamping it a few times on patterned paper, cutting it out and then paper piecing it together. My old friend (ye’ olde roll of foam tape) came in handy during the flower’s assembly process.

Speaking of Paper Smooches. I’ve got one more thing to do before I leave today. 😉

Guess what, Karen Rice?

You have just won the Paper Smooches‘ Circle of Honor stamp set for commenting on my blog during the monthly blog hop. (4/26 at 10:18)!

I’ll be in touch shortly via email!

Thanks to all for stopping by during the hop and today.

Have a great weekend!

Alright, so here’s what I cooked up for you today!

I used the brand new Circle of Honor set. When I first saw the set, I thought how cool it would be for making cards with for soldiers. Having a grandfather  and dad who served in the military, it’s a cause that is near and dear to my heart.

Everything but the conversation bubble is from the new set. The conversation bubble is from the He Said, She Said set.

That’s all for now. Be back again later!

See you soon, friends.

Today’s card (4-25)

Hi all!

Another day, another card!

This is one I made with April’s Greenhouse Society stamp set.

It’s no secret: I am coloring challenged. But I have to admit these Greenhouse Society stamps struck something in me though and having me coloring (and shading) quite a bit. Really, really liking it and not pulling my hair out, which … cough… cough… might have happened in the past. 😉

I created the polka dot background with white ink and my much loved, used often Passion for Polka set.

Everything else is from my stash.

See you again soon!

Lawn Fawn: Stay Tuned

Hello everyone!

And I’ve got one last bit of Lawn Fawn fun for you for a few days. Today is all about the new Stay Tuned stamp set.

So meet today’s card.

Hee hee, get it? 😉 I hope.

The TV and first part of the sentiment are from Stay Tuned.

I finished the sentiment off with the help of Claire’s ABCs (for the comma) and Critters on the Farm (for “chickadee”).

The farm critters are from Critters on the Farm as well.

So that the TV looked like it has a chicken on it (because what TV doesn’t, you know?), I stamped her. I colored her in and then fussy cut her to fit in the TV. I added on a slight coat of Glossy Accents over the screen, too.

All the patterned papers here are from Lawn Fawn’s Bright Side collection.

Check out the Lawn Fawn blog for more ideas for Stay Tuned and for a chance to win some stamps. Woo-to-the-hoo!

See you again soon!

Lawn Fawn: Handmade with Love

Hello, hello!

We meet again. It’s been too long, don’t you think? 😉 OK. Maybe not.

Today’s Lawn Fawn adventure involves the Handmade with Love stamp!

So let’s get on with the card. Specifically, let’s get on with today’s card.

I thought it would be fun just to make an all-around generic card with Handmade with Love so that’s what I did! 🙂

The cool scripty words are from Handmade with Love. I created the other words with Claire’s ABCs.

The patterned paper is again from Lawn Fawn’s Bright Side collection.

That’s all for now. Don’t forget to check out the Lawn Fawn blog for more projects made with Handmade with Love and for a chance to win it.

See you again soon!

Lawn Fawn: Claire’s ABCs

Hello!

We meet again!

It’s another Lawn Fawn adventure here today. Today’s adventure involves Claire’s ABCs.

So meet today’s card.

I used Claire’s ABCs to create the sentiment. The line underneath is the tail from Flying By. I just love that element!

The butterfly, flower and leaves are from Flutter By. I didn’t do anything too fancy here. I just used a couple markers to add a little shading to the paper.

The paper is again from my old friend, the Bright Side collection from Lawn Fawn.

That’s it! Be back later.

Lawn Fawn: Flutter By

Hello again all!

It’s time for another few days of Lawn Fawn fun.

Today, the Fawny gang is playing it up with the new Flutter By set.

So meet today’s card.

(Insert dramatic effect: “Dummm…. dummmmmm.. dummmmmmmmmmmm….”)

All the stamping here (expect for the tail) was completed with Flutter By. The tail is from the Flying By set.

The patterned papers are from Lawn Fawn’s Bright Side collection.

For more Flutter By projects, check out the Lawn Fawn blog.

Be sure to comment over there, too. That’s because Kelly is giving away some stamps… again. She rocks like that. 😉

See you again soon.
