Deasy Designs: Say Anything (9-30)

Hey all!

I’m back with another card made with one of the two new clear stamp sets for October for Deasy Designs. (I’m excited to be guesting with them and helping celebrate their latest release, which goes on sale on Oct. 1st. Thanks for having me, ladies!)

So, with that, meet today’s card!

All the words here are from their new set called Say Anything. I thought it was fun to just stamp a few of the sentiments together and make a more customized saying for the recipient.

The new set has all kinds of great sayings for cards.Β  You can see the real, whole spankin’ deal today on their blog, along with a bunch of other great projects from their sweet design team.

That’s all for now. Be back again soon!

Du… du… dummmmmmm. ; )

Thrilled to be guesting for Deasy Designs (fine, fine folks) and joining them in celebrating their October clear stamp release.

Made this one with their new Happy Winter set, which goes on sale on Oct. 1st. Every single element stamped on here is from the stamp set.

I’ll be back again tomorrow with something I made with their other new set for October.

See you again soon!

So let’s get on with show.
Meet my card for the hop!

I used the new Chilly Chums set. The seal, all his/her accessories (because seals are way cuter when they accessorize, right? Wink!) and wordsΒ  are from it. πŸ™‚

I also paired the set with a couple other Paper Smooches stamp sets: He Said, She Said (the speech bubble) and Perpetual Bliss (the microphone and music note).

Gosh, I don’t even know what else to say about this little one, other than I laughed more and more as I worked on it. πŸ™‚ Thus, the pom pom and wiggle eyes came out. I hope it makes you giggle, too!

Thanks for stopping by today. Hope you enjoy the hop!

Today’s cards (9-27)

Hi all!

Meet today’s cards.

Yep. Cards!
Here’s #1

And here is #2.

Both of these were quick and simple, which is the way to go some days.

Made both of these for a challenge with Technique Tuesday to make something with one of the six Keep Calm inspired stamp sets.

I used the Get Crafty set on the first one.

I’ve been wanting to use the scissors to “cut away” paper forever so it was a good chance to do it. I’ve loved how I’ve seen projects by many other crafters over the years where they have done that.

And I used Think Vacation on the second one.

(If you are looking for these stamps, I’ve spotted them on Ellen Hutson, Simon Says Stamp and Scrapbook.com… in addition to the Technique Tuesday Web site. Two Peas and i(heart)papers have some of the Keep Calm stamps, too.)

Check out the Technique Tuesday blog to see other projects made with the Keep Calm stamps.

See you again later.

Today’s card (9-25)

Hi all!

Another day. Another card. (Woot. Woot.)

This is one more created with the September Greenhouse Society stamp set from Technique Tuesday.

I was a feeling a bit rebellious this time and resisted using the stamp set’s Sunflower and instead just opted words from the set this time.

Pretty sunflower, yes! But rebellious Teri I am today. πŸ˜‰

The papers are just little scraps leftover from other projects I’ve been working on. They (along with the pieces are chipboard) are from October Afternoon.

I’m not the only one playing with this stamp set today. Hit the Technique Tuesday blog to see some other fine projects made with it by some really fab girls!

That’s all for now. See you again later.

Today’s card (9-24)

Hello, hello!

It’s a good day for a card, don’t ya think?

So meet today’s card.

The papers are from Glitz’s Cashmere Dame (the yellow stuff) collection and October Afternoon’s Midway collection.

The stamped words and conversation bubble and think (from a larger thinking of you) dies are Simon Says Stamp! The “i” is a letter sticker from Jillibean, while the label (cut in half) is from October Afternoon as well.

Got in touch my old school scrapbooking self (circa 2002 or so… giggle) and whipped out an old pack of chalks to brush a little pink chalk over the “think” die-cut to add a little tint to it to go with the patterned paper. Successful, I don’t know. But fun to use something I haven’t used in quite awhile? Ab.So.Lute.Ly.

And, one more thing, you might be wondering who won the copy of Holiday Cards & More Vol. 7 from the Go-to Gal Hop?

Well, well, well, that would be Laura Norris (10:17 a.m. on 9/20)

“Love little Marley! So cute….”

Congrats, Laura! I’ll send you an email shortly so I can make arrangements to have your prize sent to you.

A big mondo thanks to everyone who stopped by. You are all are so kind to leave such nice words. I sure appreciate them. Thanks, guys!

Be back again later.

Avocado Arts: Project Share (9-22)

Hi all!

Another fine Saturday. Another card. πŸ™‚

I whipped out the Grateful Season set from Avocado Arts again to make this bad boy.

Once again, I did a little stamping, a little fussy cutting and a little piecing together of things.

The “Grateful for” is part of a larger stamp that says “Grateful for you.” I only inked it up half part-way and then stamped it. The “you” was die-cut with a die from Simon Says Stamp!

I’m not the only one playing with Avocado Arts stamps today. Head to the blogs of these sweet girls to see what they made with the Grateful Season set:

Swing by the Avocado Arts blog, too.

That’s all for now, folks. See you all again soon.

Go-to Gal Hop: Holiday Cards & More

Hi all!

Pleased to be hopping with the Go-to Gals today for a small hop in honor of Holiday Cards & More Vol. 7, the newest special issue from Paper Crafts magazine.

If you haven’t seen the issue yet, it’s this awesome issue filled (well, jam-packed) with holiday cards, holiday tags, gift wrappings and other DIY-paper crafty ideas. You’ll be able to find it on newstands and online.

So for today’s hop, we are paying tribute to the issue’s photo card section. Only instead of making a card with a photo, we are making something else.

So… meet my project for the hop.

I was totally inspired by the photo card I made for the issue, which just happens to feature a picture of my dog, Marley. (Page 9… hee! I’m so proud.)

I decided to whip out some photo gift tags with a picture of him.

It’s something my family and friends would get a kick out of and instantly know the gift was from me (since said dog is attached to my hip most days.)

I printed the picture for my tags at home. This is just a random picture I had of him. (He has a habit of smiling… lol!)

I opened it up on my computer, selected the print option and chose to print on 8 1/2″ x 11″ photo paper. One of the choices was to print a wallet sized picture. I picked that and chose to print a number of them on the one sheet of paper. Easy, peasy.

Each tag has a different sentiment. I computer-generated the strips on white cardstock and finished them off with some stamped words. (All the words I used are from Lawn Fawn’s Happy Everything and Sweet Christmas stamp sets).

Be sure to check out the blogs of the rest of the Go-to Gals to see their photo-inspired tribute to the issue. πŸ˜‰

(Also, be sure to check out Paper Crafts Connection and Moxie Fab World for more festivities this week that are tied to this special issue.)

Oh yeah, and be sure to leave a comment for me here by Friday night. I’ll pick one of you at random to win a copy of Holiday Cards and More. (Thanks, Paper Crafts!)

Thanks for stopping by today! It’s always a treat when you do.

Avocado Arts: Project Share (9-15)

Hi all!

Meet today’s card.

Used Avocado Arts’ Grateful Season to stamp out the apples. I had a bunch of scraps from other recent projects so I stamped the apple a few times and did a little fussy cutting. Got a really bad habit of that. πŸ˜‰

The words are a sneak peek of sorts. They come from Avocado Arts’ new stamp set for September.

To see more projects with Grateful Season and September’s stamp sets, head to the blogs of all these great chicks:

And, of course, Avocado Arts. Be sure to tell them howdy just because. πŸ™‚ It would make their day.

Oh yeah, and be sure to comment when you stop by the blogs!

Avocado Arts will be choosing some random folks from comments made on all the blogs for these mini stamp sets.

Hooray!

The winners will be announced on the Avocado Arts blog and Facebook page.

See you again later.
