July Studio AE Blog Hop from Technique Tuesday (7-10)

Hi all!

It’s Studio AE Blog Hop time again, and I’m happy to share a few projects made with the newest set from Ali Edwards and Technique Tuesday.

Just in case you haven’t seen Label Maker by Ali Edwards yet, here’s a peek.

Such a fun set.  It totally reminds me of my old trusty label maker, but in stamp form.

I was inspired to use to whip together a couple cards to share today!

So meet  #1.

2_July_GraphicJoy1_teri_edited-1I love the office feel of the set, but wanted to do something slightly on the graphic side with it so that’s what I went with here.

Pretty much everything was stamped here, other than the lines. I just used a good old black pen to add them.

2_July_GraphicJoy2_teri_edited-1And meet #2.

2_July_DadLabels1_teri_edited-1For this one, I used just one label stamp from the set. But to mix it up a bit (and make things a bit more visually interesting), I stamped it on three different patterned papers.

The other words on this one? Well, they are from a couple other Technique Tuesday stamp sets: Loving Words by Ali Edwards and Dad Rocks by Ali Edwards.

2_July_DadLabels2_teri_edited-1Kinda fun to just mix a bunch of stamps together to make one really big message.

So that’s all I have for you.

Be sure to check out the blogs of everyone hopping today:

By the way, we’re giving away a prize.

A $25 gift certificate will go to someone (a lucky someone) who comments during the course of the hop. The winner will be announced on the 15th on the Technique Tuesday blog.

Happy hopping, and thanks again for swinging by today!

  1. When I first looked at the set, I wasn’t that impressed. However, after looking at your cards, I relooked at the set and think it’s a good one! Thanks for the inspiration!

  2. I liked the way you used the stamp sets on both of your cards. When I first saw this Studio AE stamp set, I just saw how many different ways I could use it on my Project Life layouts. I also love the way you used patterns and mixed fonts and the little file tab label adds just the right amount of fun to the card!

  3. Yet again, you’ve inspired me. Great use of the new stamp and fabulous when you mixed it with other stamps.

  4. Lots of good ideas for using this stamp set this month from simple to very detailed. Love them all.

  5. I’m really loving how you used the arrows on patterned papers – love the contrast with the inks.

  7. I always love to see the projects you create from Ali’s sets! (And for that matter, from any sets!) I especially like the graphic card you made – thanks for sharing!

  8. Love your cards Teri. The graphic design of the first one really makes me want to play (I’m at work 😦 )

  9. I really liked how you used a combination of different stamps to tell your dad how much you love him!

  10. I loved what you did with the arrows but that Dad card made me cry. Quite possibly because I bought my Dad’s Father’s Day gift yesterday (in Australia it’s in September) and my Mum and I went out for high tea and next time we thought we should do one at my house and include my Dad. He missed out on seeing the Grandkids and that’s super important in his world!!

  11. Two quite different cards … but both awesome. I am partial to the graphic design & colors on the 1st one. Thanks for sharing … love the ideas from this blog hop!

  12. Lovely cards! I love how you used that little “arrow” type stamp on diff. colors and ended with a clean and simple, yet visually interesting card! I could see myself doing that one. TFS 🙂

  13. Wow love the colourful tiles on the first and how you stamped the sentiments on pp on the 2nd…wonderful set.

  14. What a very fun “joy” card! The dad card really strikes me as being very “Ali-esque” with the repetition. Very cool and appropriate using Ali’s stamps;-)! Thanks so much for sharing!

  15. There are so many ways to use these stamps!! I can’t wait to get a set! Your cards are awesome!

  16. I really like how you’ve used the stamps, and the mixing and matching on the Dad card – both are wonderful.

  17. I love that you combined several stamp sets for one card… They really go together well! Great cards.

  18. Repetitive use of the stamp is just plain clever and the addition of patterned paper sets it off perfectively. Love these cards!

  19. Good gracious- you are one super talented person! These cards you made are fab & fun, awesome combo! 🙂

  20. Love your two wonderful cards! Especially the first one graphically. I am continually impressed with your work. Thanks for sharing.

  21. I love stamp sets that have great sentiments and this one does and I like that it has the label maker look. Your cards showcase it very nicely!
