February Studio AE Blog Hop from Technique Tuesday (2-10)

Hooray! It’s Studio AE Blog Hop time again!

Thrilled to be joining a few of my favorite folks today! For today’s hop, we are using the all-new Best Banners by Ali Edwards stamp set.

I’ve got two projects to share.

Here’s No. 1.

This one was pretty simple. I stamped up a couple banners, poked holes in them and then slid a toothpick through each one to make a couple picks for food. Imagine doing something simple like this for Valentine’s Day or Birthday cupcakes. Easy peasy.

Plus, if you didn’t want to go the food route, you could use these little flags on a card or scrapbook page.

And here is No. 2.

Speaking of using those flags on a card, I made a couple for this one. 😉

I also added a word from Ali’s So Very Thankful stamp set for Technique Tuesday.

Be sure to check out all the stops on today’s hop.

Technique Tuesday will pick one person from all the comments received on all the blogs to score a $25 e-Gift Card from TechnqueTuesday.com. The lucky winner will be announced on the Technique Tuesday blog on the 15th.

Today’s card (2-7)

Hi everyone!

This is today’s card.

(Insert dramatic effect.)

Ta-da! 😉

Had a little bit of time to play today this is really a case of just messing around.

I die-cut the word from cardstock using the Simply Said: Hello ELLE-ments die from Avery Elle. Then I got all fancy. I plopped it down on scratch paper, covered it with texture paste and let it dry.

Once it was good to go, I scribbled a little bit of color with watercolor crayons on it and spread the color with water. After I got the word on the card, I felt like it needed a bit more color so I dipped my fingers in water (Truth, friends. Truth.) and spread the color a little bit more.

Kinda digging the look. I am thinking I am going to try do that again.

That’s all I have.

Be back later,  y’all! 🙂 Thanks, as always, for stopping by.

Today’s card (2-4)

Hi all!

Me again with a little card to share with you.

It’s one I submitted recently for consideration for publication. It wasn’t selected, but that’s ok. It’s still a dang fine card.

I don’t know if you are aware, but all the Go-to Gals submit like everyone else to Paper Crafts & Scrapbooking magazine. The editors can reject (… or as they like to say “not select” …) our projects with the best of them. A little rejection (or “not selection”) makes you tougher, ya know. 😉

The supplies here are from the SN@P! Him collection from Simple Stories and from Studio Calico (those stars).

So that’s what I have. Be back later, friends!

Hope you are off to a good week!
