MFT Countdown: 1

Hello all!

It’s almost time for November release from My Favorite Things! (Hooray!)

And I’ve got a couple more things made with the new goods to share with you today.

So sit back. Relax. Get ready to see some stuff.

Meet card #1.

I created those little scalloped panels with the new Stitched Scallop Edges Die-namics dies (arrives on 11/11 at MFT).

The process to make them went a bit like this:

  • Cut several pieces of cardstock.
  • Pick one edge and set it on top of one. Die-cut it.
  • Take second panel of cardstock. Set die on top. Make sure to line it up with the previously cut panel.
  • Repeat.
  • And repeat again.
  • And repeat again.

And, if you aren’t exactly perfect with even cuts, don’t freak. The end result will still look really cool! 🙂

Alright. So can we talk about another card?

I’d like to introduce you to card #2.

I just had a bit of fun here, putting together that sneaker. Is it fun or what?! It’s from the new All-Star High Top Die-namics. There are a few more dies you can use to sauce up the sneaker (like eyelets for the holes), but I think it’s fun that you don’t have to use every single die in the set to make a shoe. I think mine still looks pretty cool without those eyelets.

The sentiment is from the Be Original stamp set, which includes a bunch of great phrases that mix with the sneaker. I’ll be sharing some more ideas for the stamp set and the die tomorrow so consider this a taste of what’s to come. (Enter music.)

So that’s what I have for you today.

Here’s a list of MFT supplies I used to make these two cards:

And be sure to check out the MFT Blog to see which other design team members are sharing projects today. I’ve been peeking (… don’t tell the crew…), but they’ve been up to some amazing things! 🙂

  1. Two cool cards! LOVE the shoe and the sentiments sound like they’ll be good to own. The stitched scallop edged die is fun, too. 🙂

  2. Love the rainbow with the scalloped stitched dies Teri! So cute! Love the bright colors with the shoe too — isn’t the high top so cute!
