And we have liftoff!

The April release from My Favorite Things is now available! Hot diggity dog!

And I’m celebrating (with the rest of the Design Team) by sharing a couple more cards made with the new stuff. (Cha! Cha!)

Both cards I’m sharing today use the Stitched Circle Frames Die-namics, which I love so, so much!

So meet card #1.

You Make Me Happy by Teri

I created the background paper myself by using the new Garden Flourish Background stamp to stamp the pattern onto yellow cardstock.

I created both circle elements with the Stitched Circle Frames Die-namics. I somewhat wanted to play a trick on your eyes so I placed one of the circles below the Stripes Cover-Up and one above.

You Make Me Happy by Teri

I think it really helped to add a little extra dimension to a card that’s actually flat as can be!

And meet card #2.

Happy Circles by Teri

I once again made my own background paper with the Garden Flourish Background stamp.

And this time I added three circles cut with the Stitched Circle Frames Die-namics.

Those little stars? Cut those puppies with the Blueprints 24 Die-namics. I think they make great little accents!

So that’s what I have. 😉

Here’s a list of MFT supplies I used to make the cards I’m sharing today:

Have a great day, y’all! And thanks, as always, for stopping by! I always enjoy it when you do!

MFT Countdown: 1

It’s almost time for the April release from My Favorite Things.

And I’m here with two more teaser-style projects to share with you. Sigh. Yeah. I know. 🙂

NewReleaseCountdown_Day1

So let’s get on with the show.

Say hello to card #1.

Hello Friend by Teri

I created the background paper myself with the new Garden Flourish Background stamp. I set the stamp on the table, applied ink to it and then set a yellow panel of cardstock onto it and transferred the ink. Really love how it turned out.

The leafy element was cut with the new Simple Leaf Flourishes Die-namics, while the frame was cut with the Sentimental Flourish Frame Die-namics. Now, the frame is super fancy. For this card, I decided just to use the middle element. I wanted to maintain a somewhat graphic look.

Hello Friend by Teri

And meet card #2.

Thank You by Teri

I think this one is a little fancier than the last one. I used some of the same elements, just a little differently.

Those half labels at the top and bottom were cut with the center from the Sentimental Flourish Frame Die-namics. And, yes, that fancy frame in the middle also cut with the Sentimental Flourish Frame Die-namics.

Thank You by Teri

MFT Countdown: 2

Hi all!

Just 2 more days until the new release from My Favorite Things, and I’m stoked to share a couple more cards I made with the new stuff.

NewReleaseCountdown_Day2

On your mark. Get set. Go, go, go!!! 😉

OK! Meet card #1.

Hello Circles by Teri

Circles. I really, really, really like circles!

So, of course, I had to play with the Stitched Circles Frames Die-namics to make this card. I cut three frames and the layered them. The white circle? That’s the center from a white circle frame I cut!

By the way, I stamped the background myself. I used the new Simply Circles Background stamp do it.

Hello Circles by Teri

And this is card #2.

Sending Happy by Teri

I once again whipped out the Stitched Circle Frames Die-namics to cut a couple circle for my card.

I used the new Modern Blooms stamp set and Modern Blooms Die-namics to create the floral elements. You’ll be hearing a bit more about them tomorrow.

MFT Countdown: 3

And just like that, we meet again!

We’re halfway through the countdown to the April release from My Favorite Things. Yep. You guessed it! I’ve got a couple more cards to share with you today.

NewReleaseCountdown_Day3

Shall we? We shall!

Meet card #1.

Makes You Happy by Teri

So this card involved a bit of die-cutting and piecing things together to make the little scene. The flowers, tools, bench and birdhouse are all from the new Spring Garden Die-namics, which arrive on April 7th at My Favorite Things (along with the rest of the April release).

To create the flowers, I stacked some of them together and then just used a white paint pen to add a little dab to the centers. I tend to use a lot of enamel dots and bling these days , but sometimes you just want a cute card that is super flat and easily mailable (aka: won’t cost you an arm and a leg to send it). A pen is nice tool to use rather than those chunky embellishments.

And this is card #2.

Appreciate You card by Teri

I again used the Spring Garden Die-namics to create the little scene. Behind the little banner (cut with Blueprints 24 Die-namics) is a little flourish-y frame that (cough) you’ll be hearing more about later in the week.

Appreciate You by Teri

For the centers, I just cut a couple sequins from white cardstock using some of the dies from Blueprints 24.

So that’s what I have for you today.

Here’s a list of MFT products I used to make these cards:

And, once again, be sure to hit the MFT Blog to see who else is sharing projects today. I can assure you this: LOTS of good stuff to be found. I might have peeked. Might have. 😉

Hope you will cruise on by tomorrow.

MFT Countdown: 4

Hello, hello again!

Another day. Another day closer to the April release from My Favorite Things. (Insert big YAY right here!)

NewReleaseCountdown_Day4

So I’ve got a couple more cards to share with you today that I used some  of the new stuff on. And… go!

Meet card #1.

You Gnome Me by Teri

Oh my gosh, you guys! You totally need the new You Gnome Me stamp set it. It’s so stinking cute! Gnomes. Lots of adorable gnomes in it! There’s also some coordinating You Gnome Me Die-namics to use with it.

I created the scene here with the new stamps and dies. I also pulled in a couple hearts from the new True Friends stamp set.

You Gnome Me by Teri

The grass was cut with the Tall Grassy Edge Die-namics.

And meet card #2.

You Understand Me by Teri

So it’s a little different for the last card. I went more artsy with this one because I wanted to play with the new Tiny Triangles Stencil, which I used to make the background.

Print

Now if you are not a lover of messy techniques, this may not be for you. But, for those of you who are lovers of mess making, here’s how the process went. Now, let me apologize in advance: These process pictures were shot under a vat of darkness (as I was making this card late at night). 🙂

First, I set the stencil on cardstock. And then I applied some texture paste onto it.

Stencil step 1

I removed the stencil and got something like this. I let the paste dry for a bit.

Stencil step 2

Then I squirted a little dye ink re-inker onto a craft mat. I added a few drops of water and mixed!

Stencil step 3

I lifted the color and spread it onto my triangle-d panel.

Stencil step 4

And then I repeated this step a couple more times with other ink colors.

Once the panel was fully colored, I set a paper towel on top and blotted it dry.

Stencil step 5

I let panel air dry fully for a few hours and then used it to make my card!

It’s a totally fun technique. I encourage you to give it a try if you haven’t before.

Here’s a list of MFT supplies I used to make these cards.

And, once again, be sure to check out the MFT Blog to see who else from the team is sharing projects today!

MFT Countdown: 5

Hey all!

It’s that time again! Yep. Time again for another (totally awesome) product release from My Favorite Things. And the countdown starts today! Woot!

NewReleaseCountdown_Day5

So want a taste of the new stuff? Because… you know… I’ve got your back! 😉

Got a couple cards to share today that I whipped up with the new stuff so…. let’s do this! Yeah!

Please meet card #1.

Like a Sister to Me by Teri

So this card uses the new Blueprints 24 Die-namics. Every single die-cut element on it was cut with Blueprints 24.  I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again. The Blueprints Die-namics are some of my favorites because you get a lot of dies in one set. MFT also puts together a free tip sheet for each set that you can use to get you designing with the dies. I love that because it gets you right into the design space!

I used the MFT’s tips partly to make this card and then did a bit of my own thing, doing the positioning of the elements a little different and then stacking several banners up to create that border.

Like a Sister to Me by Teri

You’ll notice the pattern on the pink cardstock. Yep! It’s a peek at another new product from the April release. I used the Weave stencil to add that to the panel. I just sent the stencil onto the panel and then sponged ink over the open spaces.

Can you handle another card? Hope so because here is card #2.

You're the Sweetest by Teri

I once again brought out Blueprints 24 add the Weave stencil. I also brought out the new You’re the Sweetest stamp set and Sweet Treat Die-namics. Yep. I totally made that cute cupcake with the Sweet Treats Die-namics. I have a feeling you are going to see those surface a few more times over the next few days! (Wink!)

You're the Sweetest by Teri

One thing I did to make the cupcake stand out more is I adhered that panel to my card with foam tape. Also, to make the file tab, I die-cut it twice. And then I cut the pink tab in half, adhering it to the orange tab. I think the two-toned look is just fun!

So that’s what I have for you today. Here’s a list of MFT products I used to make these cards:

And be sure to check out the MFT blog to see who else from the design team is sharing projects today. (Confession: I might have snuck a peek. You won’t be disappointed… just sayin‘!)

Today’s card

Hello all!

Just another card to share today.

Just Because by Teri

I lived on the edge and whipped out my markers again. Yes,  I did. Everyone breathing OK? Still standing? Hope so… wink?!

I thought the new flower from Technique Tuesday’s Greenhouse Society collection, Ranunculus, was pretty… and, well, looked marker friendly for a non-friendly to markers girl like myself. So I did the marker thing again. 😉

Just Because by Teri

I even did a little shading. Baby steps, people. Baby steps. I have to admit that I had a lot of fun with this one.

By the way, here’s the stamp set.

Ranunculus - Greenhouse Society stamp set from Technique Tuesday

Love it so much! Ranks high on my favorites list for TT’s Greenhouse Society stamps.

I’ll be back again later. Thanks for stopping by!
