MFT Countdown: 2

Hi again!

Just 2 more days until October release from My Favorite Things is live, and you guessed it. I’ve got a couple more projects to share with you today that I made with the new stuff.

Meet card #1.

Merry Christmas Circles by Teri

October’s release includes the really cool Merry Christmas Centerpieces Die-namics dies. The dies are super awesome to make shakers with, but they are also awesome to make really cool circle elements to use on cards and scrapbook pages. For my card, I took the Merry Christmas circle die and then cut it into a larger circle cut with the Radial Stitched Circle STAX Die-namics.

The tree and deer were stamped and cut with the Winter Wonderland stamp set and coordinating Die-namics. I felt like the center of the center was just kinda begging for something cute to be added to it, and they were the perfect size to fit.

And meet card #2.

Merry Christmas Shaker by Teri

I went the traditional route here, creating a shaker with the Merry Christmas Centerpieces Die-namics.

All those little shapes inside the shaker (and on that middle circle) were cut with some small confetti-style dies that come with the Merry Christmas Centerpieces Die-namics,Merry Christmas Shaker by Teri

One thing you might be wondering about is how I added the dark kraft tone to the circle. Well, I had cut a large circle from cardstock with the Radial Stitched Circle STAX and realized the leftover piece was just larger than the Merry Christmas circle. So you guessed it! I set that piece over the circle and used it like a mask like so. This allowed me to sponge on some ink.

Sure, it looks all fancy, but it was such an easy way to add a little extra detail to the card.

Alright, so that’s what I have for you today.

For links to the products I used to make these cards, check out the list below. A word to the wise: The links to the new stuff will work once the release is made live at 10 p.m. EST on the 6th. (Hey, that’s Tuesday!)

And be sure to stop by the MFT Stamps blog to see who else is sharing projects today.
