Hooray! The new release from My Favorite Things is live!
And guess what?! Yep. I’ve got a couple new cards to share with you that are packed with goods from the December release.
Check it.
I went on the graphic side for this one, going with a pretty bold pink, orange, green and neutral color palette.
Those Stitched Hexagon STAX Die-namics dies are just the bomb. I love the shape of a hexagon in general, and the stitching added to these dies really puts my love over the top for them.
So I cut two hexagons for this card. One of which I stamped with the Watercolor Stripes Background stamp. I spritzed the stamp with water before the paper touched it and after I inked it up so the stamping would look really distressed. If you look really close you can just see it popping out.
On the card I shared yesterday, I stacked a bunch of hexagons up. For this one, I wanted to show you a different way to use those dies. Rather than stacking them in the most obvious way, arrange them so just bits show.
The flowers and leaves are from the new Tropical Flowers stamp set (and coordinating Die-namics). And the words were stamped with the Amazing stamp set. I bent the stamp as I put it on my block so it would looked curved rather than straight. That’s always one of the beauties of clear stamps. You can manipulate them.
And this card #2.
It’s a graphic card but not as bold as the first. Not as many pop you in the face colors. 😉
So I did something similar as the last card. I cut four large hexagons and then stacked them, letting the right side of the bottom ones peek out.
And then I took some of the smaller hexagons and just kinda mixed things up. I stacked two together. I added a star to another and then I tied some twine through the third. Easy peasy, and a fun way to use the hexagons.
So that’s what I have for you today. Be sure to stop by the MFT Stamps blog for links to tons of other fun projects by the Design Team.
And check out the list below for clickable links to the supplies I used to make this project. Yes, they really work. 🙂
Thanks for swinging by, guys!
