Meet today’s card.

A handmade card for Paper Smooches by Teri // terisplace.wordpress.com

I used a few new Paper Smooches products on this one: The Grateful die, the Fall Sampler stamp set and the Leaf Frame die.

The cool thing about the stamp set is the phrases in it work really swell with the Grateful die, as well as the Leaf Frame die.

By the way, to create layers with this card, which is actually super flat, I cut the frame out a few times from different colors of cardstock and then pieced the parts together.

Kinda fun!

OK. Over and out. That’s what I have for you. Be back again later. Thanks for swinging by, guys! Always a pleasure.

Halloween Card Challenge

Hi guys!

Back again with another card to share! Ashley and I decided to change up our challenge for the next few weeks into a Halloween Card Challenge. So this is my first take on the new challenge.

A handmade card by Teri // terisplace.wordpress.com

This card is pretty much all Lawn Fawn, all the time. 😉 I saw the new Happy Howloween set and had to have it. So. Darn. Cute. And the challenge somewhat justified my having to have it. Hee hee.

I was totally cheapo though and didn’t get the coordinating dies. (Heehee. Yes, I believe in honesty in blogging and paper crafting.)  So instead, I relied on my old friend, my trusty scissors to cut out the hat, mask and other accessories for the cute doggies. Fussy cutting? Sure it took me a little longer but still did the trick.

To make the noses pop, I used some Ebony Black Novo Crystal Drops. Word to wise if you haven’t used them before: A little bit of droppage goes a longgggg way. You don’t need a lot at all.

Be sure to swing by Ashley’s blog for her take on the challenge this week. I’m sure it will be rad-to-the-add.

See you again soon, friends.

Birthday Card Challenge

Hi guys!

It’s Birthday Card Challenge time again. Got another birthday card to share that was made in response to this challenge with my buddy, Ashley.

On your mark. Get set. Here we go.

Ta-da! Cha-Cha! Wa-Wa! Made this little guy with the help of a couple Reverse Confetti products: Toucan Friendship stamp set; Toucan Friendship dies and All Framed Up die.

All the framed elements on here were cut with the All Framed Up die. I created that background by cutting them with white cardstock. And then I used the die to cut the little kraft frame too. A handmade card by Teri // terisplace.wordpress.com

Added a little color to the card with markers and ink. Just sponged a little blue ink on a white piece of cardstock I stamped the sentiment on. I used my markers to color in the bird. My coloring is not perfect but I am A-OK with that. I mean, seriously, what card maker is perfect all the time. Haven’t met one yet. 😉

Alright! That’s what I have for you today. Be sure to hit Ashley’s blog to see her take on the challenge this week.

Birthday Card Challenge

Hi all!

Another day. Another take on the Birthday Card Challenge with my friend, Ashley.

Today’s card is this right here.

Ta-da!

This was my maiden voyage with Technique Tuesday’s new Mixin’ Up stamp set.  It’s a fun little set for cardmakers with a bunch of different occasion word stamps to pair with that “Mixin’ Up” phrase. Oh yeah, and there’s a bunch of kitchen stuff too. 😉

The bowl and the mixer are actually two stamps. I did a little masking by stamping the bowl and then masking it off and stamping the mixer. The result? Two stamps became one just like that.

And yes, I whipped out my markers to do the coloring. Easy peasy.

Be sure to check out Ashley’s blog for her take on the challenge this week. I am sure it will not disappoint.

Birthday Card Challenge

Hi guys!

Another day. Another Birthday Card Challenge card with my friend, Ashley!

This is my take on the challenge today.

Got to admit: This one was a quickie. I spent a whopping 15 minutes on it. 🙂 Short on time so did the best I could.

Pulled out some old die-cuts from October Afternoon and paired them with a sentiment from Lawn Fawn’s Big Scripty Words stamp set, which I just plain love.

The sequins? Well, they are there because the card needed something. It was… boring. So yeah. And I mis-inked on the birthday word so I strategically covered up the bad inking with a sequin. Don’t tell, k? Secret’s safe with you, I hope.
