PS-StitchedCircleDie-Teri

Just played to play when I made this card. I used the stitched circle die to make the cross stitch panel. Then I used the new Embroidery Hoop dies with it to frame the circle. I did place a solid circle of black cardstock behind it so one could see the stamped and stitched coffee cup design.

The coffee cup was stamped with the new In Stitches stamp set. Then I used embroidery floss to stitch over the pattern. Took quite awhile for me (a non-stitcher) but it was awfully fun to do!

By the way, you might be wondering about the words. I stamped those bad boys with the Cyber Cafe stamp set. Such a fun one.

Alright! That’s all I have for you for now. Be back again later, gators. Thanks, as always, for stopping by!

  1. Great card! Outlining the cup adds that little bit extra. Good idea to use the black background it makes the cup pop and the pink plaid ties it all together perfectly.

  2. Great great card, especially the stitched cup if you are a non stitcher, you’ve done it so neat no one would have known if you didn’t say, but thanks for honesty. The sentiment is cool, my boys would go with that kind of statement.

  3. SUPER CUTE and SUPER FUN card 🙂
LOVE the embroidery hoop and your stitched coffee cup, so clever to use the stamp as a guide for your stitches too!

  4. OMG … I love the card, the colors, the whole idea and, I’m looking forward to owning this new release. I love your design … great job!

  6. I really love the card! Love an idea that you can stamp first and then cross stitch!
I am a cross stitcher, this would be a great set to have! 🙂

  7. I love the hoop has grains! I used to be an avid cross stitcher, like 8 hrs a day. Background paper is a perfect match to this design on the front!

  8. “Quite a while” was also my experience with my first stitching on a card project. But the results are fabulous. Thanks for the inspiration.

  9. Such a great card with happy colors and a charming image! I love how you outlined the mug in black for additional dimension and added the black behind the cardstock to make the image even more visible.

  10. Hi Teri, Thanks for showing us your super cute card! Your colors are awesome, as is the adorable coffee cup stitching and the “buzz” sentiment! Happy New Year!
