Winter Coffee Lovers Bloghop

Hi guys !

Back on the old blog-a-roo with another card to share! Couldn’t resist making something in honor of the Winter Coffee Lovers Bloghop.

So meet today’s card.

Just had fun here, letting the frame cutting die-cut lead me on where to place the stamped images.

The cups, beans, heart, steam and words are all from the Perk Up stamp set, which (in full disclosure here) I designed for Technique Tuesday.

I did all the coloring on the card with markers. I was trying to be all cool and stuff so I added a little shadow at the bottom of each cup with a darker marker and then blended in the color with the lighter marker. The shadow on the cups is subtle but I think it looks kinda cool.

I did the same thing with the coffee beans too. 🙂

I wish I had more to say to you, but it’s the end of the weekend. I’m tired. The writing tank is dry so that’s what I got. I’ll try to give you a wordier post next time.

I’m excited to share with you a card today created with some Paper Smooches stamps and dies. Meet today’s card… and my contribution to the Extravaganza.

This was so fun to make! I took images and dies from a couple different Paper Smooches stamp sets and dies sets – Swanky Snowdudes and Cool Dudes. And I kinda just crafted the scene together.

The yellow background was created by sponging a soft yellow ink in a circle onto the cardbase. And then I “grounded” the snow people by applying some black ink with a sponge to the ground.

 The card didn’t feel complete without some extra details so I stamped a couple snowflakes and added some enamel dots to the middle of them. I also added a couple sequins and some dots created with Glossy Accents (how I LOVE them).

Today’s card

Hi guys!

Another day. Another card.

Sharing a new one today, created with a couple new stamp sets from Technique Tuesday: the Hello Owl and the Sassy Days stamp sets. The Sassy Days set is one of my latest designs for TT.  My buddy Tam drew the owl for the Hello Owl set.

I stamped the owl three times on cardstock and just used my markers to color him in three different ways. I love how he is the same bird but the different colors make him look different. Kinda fun.

I wasn’t feeling like making this a regular old all occasion card so I added a sentiment from the Sassy Days. Pretty sure ANY of them could have worked on this card. Ha!
