Back again on the blog-a-roo with another card to share with you.
Give it up for today’s card.
Made this guy in my quest to ink up some the stamps in my stash that haven’t seen much love in awhile. The words and squirrel (and squirrel-ly images) are all from Papertrey Ink.
Did all the coloring with markers. Wasn’t super strict about it looking flawless. Just kinda ran with the coloring here.
Once again, I raided my box of scraps. The hearts (leftover from other projects) and patterned papers are from the box. Always nice to use them.
I also whipped out some sequins and twine. Always fun to add them to a card.
Alright. That’s it for today. Be back again later, gators. Hope you are off to a good week!
The Valentine challenge with Ashley is over but I’m sneaking in with one bonus card for it. It seemed like a pity to not share so here I am… again.
Keeping with my theme of trying to use stamps that haven’t been inked much, I whipped out a little stamp set from Papertrey Ink. Always liked the Heart-2-Heart #4 set. You just can’t go wrong with cute little telephone stamps… in my professional stamp loving opinion and all.
I die-cut the telephone 3 times and stamped on top. Then I sponged a little ink onto my card base. I added the phones, a stamped sentiment and a few stamped hearts. I also added a few drops of black Nubo crystal drops.
I like how those drops always add just the right amount of something!
So that’s all I have for today. Be sure to swing by Ashley’s blog to see her all takes this week on the challenge. Such fun stuff.
And one more thing, if you haven’t done a challenge lately, I’m going to encourage you to do one. Find one online or draft a friend to do it with you. It’s such a great way to get those creative juices flowing… and to relax a little from life. Doing stuff for you is fun sometimes, ya know? See you again soon, friends.
Hi again, friends!
Sneaking in one more time with one more take on the Valentine Challenge with my pal, Ashley.
This is today’s card.
Ta-da! As always, just had fun while making this card. Just. Plain. Had. Fun.
The whales and words are from Lawn Fawn’s Whale You Be Mine stamp set. I also used the coordinating dies.
I wanted the whales to look a little different so I colored them in, did the whole “Copic blending thing” if you know what I mean. Wink! Then I took a dark marker and added a few more swooshes (and brushes) of ink… because I could. I like the result. 🙂
All the papers on my card are just random pieces of paper from my scrapbox.
The card seemed a little flat so I whipped out clear Glossy Accents and Nuvo Crystal Drops to add a bunch of dots to the card. As you can tell, I spared no expense when it came to adding dots.
Alrighty! That’s it for me today. Once again, be sure to hit Ashley’s blog to see her most recent take on the challenge.
Super tickled to be joining my friend, Laurel, in taking part in her Inspired By challenge. This week’s challenge is to make something inspired by this picture.
So cute, right?! (I’m also counting my take on it for today’s Valentine challenge with Ashley!)
So meet today’s card!
I just had a whole lotta fun here, creating a cute little “love” mail scene.
I think the cloudy background makes it. Made that bad boy with a cloud stencil from My Favorite Things. If you are a stamped scene builder like I am, stop what you are doing. Get the stencil. You’ll love it. I can assure it. (PS. No affiliate links or sponsorship to say that. I’m truly just a fan!)
All the images and words on the card came from a couple different stamp sets: Gleeful Gardens and (retired) You’ve Got Mail from Lawn Fawn and Three Amigos from Mama Elephant.
Love it when you can mix different stamp sets together and end up with something that pleases you.
Added a little extra pop to the card by adding a few dots with some white, black and pink Nuvo Crystal Drops. I love those things.
Alright! That’s all I have. Be sure to check out the other takes on the Inspired By image…. and be sure to swing by Ashley’s blog to see her latest take on our Valentine challenge.
Thanks, as always, for stopping by!
Back again for one more take on the Valentine Challenge with my pal, Ashley!
So meet today’s card.
A super sweet friend sent me the Pure Innocence Blowing Kissses stamp set and die from My Favorite Things to play with. (Thank you so stinking much, super sweet friend!!!!) I couldn’t resist pulling it out and using this weekend while crafting with friends during a Super Bowl/Scrapper Bowl party. 😉
I created that background on the kraft card with the help of a “retired” stencil (also from MFT). I just placed it on card at an angle and then sponged a little ink on top. I often like to ink up a whole card front when using a stencil but wanted to live dangerously (so to speak) and only do part of this one. I think it turned out pretty nice. I also sponged a little ink (lightly) onto the card for the girl to stand on. The shadow that inking creates is always good for grounding an image.
Keeping in line with the “kisses” sentiment, I used some heart dies to act like kisses for my card. I also added a few dots with white Nuvo Crystal Drops to the design. I sure like the dimension they always add to a card without adding any real bulk.
Alright! That’s it for today. Be sure to hop on by Ashley’s blog-a-roo to see her latest take on the challenge.
Back again with a card to share.
My pal, Ashley, suggested we challenge each other again to make cards. This time, we’re making cards for Valentine’s Day.
Here’s my take for Day 1.
I took it upon myself for the challenge to pull out some stamps I’ve had and haven’t given a lot of inky love to. This viking stamp? Totally unloved. Shameful, I tell you. Shameful.
I stamped the viking (from Avery Elle) a few times on cardstock and then stamped him off a couple times on my white card panel. I colored in the first few vikings with markers, fussy cut them with my scissors and then stacked ’em up.
I may (or may not be) a wiggle eye addict. Fact. So yeah. I added a couple wiggle eyes to the top guy’s face. Just something about them makes him extra fun.
All those little hearts in the background. They are stamps from the viking set too. It was fun to just kinda go crazy and stamp them a lot!
So yeah. That’s all I have today.
Be sure to swing by Ashley’s blog to see her take on the challenge! See you again tomorrow.
