Birthday Card Challenge No. 1

Hi guys!

Back again. Back again making cards because of a challenge with my friend, Ashley. This time? We’re challenging each other to make birthday cards.

So meet today’s card.

A handmade card by Teri // terisplace.wordpress.com

Created this little scene using a few different Lawn Fawn stamp sets (and dies). I’d like to tell you I had some grand plan for making the card look like this, but it really just came together organically. I created the card and present stack and then was like “What about this? What about that?” And so I went building a stamped scene.SendingBirthdayHugsCard2_teri

The sentiment was created by pairing together words from a couple different sentiment stamp sets. Then I took my trusty red pen and drew the little punctuation arrow for the birthday word.  Turned out pretty cute.

Ok. This is all I have. Be sure to hit Ashley’s blog to see her first take on this Birthday Challenge. And be sure to stop by again tomorrow to see Challenge Card No. 2.

Pretty Pink Posh March Release Blog Hop

march2018hop

Hi guys!

Super duper fun times today! Super duper tickled to be joining the Pretty Pink Posh gang in celebrating PPP’s March release. It’s… just… so… so… so great!

Made a couple cards to share with you that were created with the goods. How about we take a look?

Please meet Card No. 1.

Created this first guy with the help of the Best of Luck stamp set and coordinating Best of Luck dies.

Truly, it is such a delightful set. You’ve got everything you need to make a fun little scene. In fact, I found myself stamping the images from the set over and over and die-cutting them to mock up all sorts of fun scenes.

I just love how the little guy is tossing the coins and shamrock and clover in the air. I opted to color the coins in for this card, but I thought it would be fun in the future to use sequins or some of PPP’s Lemon Drop Jewels on the stamped coins instead.

And meet Card No. 2.

Yep. I once again created a card with the Best of Luck stamps and dies. They are just so fun… and versatile.

This card is a little more graphic than the last one, but it’s still as cute as can be.

And, finally, meet Card No. 3.

HappySpringBunnyCard-teri

This time, I made a card with the Bunny Friends stamps and coordinating dies.

I wanted to add a little texture to the bunny so I used a couple gray markers and added some dots to him. It’s subtle, but I think it’s pretty cool looking. I like how it just adds a little something.

Alright! That’s all I have got for you. Be sure to check out the rest of the hop!

Technique Tuesday Release Day

New-Release-Countdown-Release-Day

Hi, all!

March 1st means the new release at Technique Tuesday is live. You’ll find all the new goods right here.

And I’m sharing a project today created with a couple of the new products.

A handmade card by Teri for Technique Tuesday // TechniqueTuesday.com

Created this little dude with the new Gertie & Garth Goat stamps and coordinating dies.

I just had fun with this card by stamping several elements from the stamp set, cutting them with the dies and the coloring them in with my trusty old markers.

Created the little scene by pairing everything together. Rather than letting the goat, cans and flowers “float” in the air, I used a cosmetic sponge to sponge a little black ink onto the card. It’s just a simple little thing to do, but it’s a great way to “ground” your stamped images.

You might be wondering about the label. That’s was cut with Technique Tuesday’s Retro Labels dies. I cut it, stamped the image on it and then added a little pop with some foam tape. I always like adding a little extra dimension with foam adhesives.

Alrighty! That’s what I have. Be sure to swing by the Technique Tuesday blog for a list of all the other TT Design Team members sharing projects today. You’ll also find links to their blogs.
