Hi, guys!
Back again with another stamped card.
Ashley and I decided to challenge each other again. This time, we are diving into our stashes of Lawn Fawn stamps and dies to make some cards. Let’s be honest: The two of us have enough Lawn Fawn products to sink a small island. (Wink! OK. Maybe not but maybe…) But, hey it sounded like a good idea!
So meet today’s card and my first take on the new challenge.
This was such a fun card to work on, as I’ve had the stamps (So Jelly stamp set and Fintastic Friends stamp set) in my stash awhile but they haven’t seen a lot of action.
First, let me tell you a little bit about my design process. I only knew I was going to make some Lawn Fawn cards this week so I pulled out a bunch of stamp sets and dies and just stamped and cut a bunch of images. Then I colored them and pulled some images out of the mix to make these card.
I felt like the fish and jellyfish needed some kind of water to swim in so I cut a circle from cardstock and sponged some Distress Oxide ink on it. Then I spritzed on a little water. Once it was dry, I added the stamped images and stamped a couple air bubbles. I also went kinda crazzzzzy and added the blue circle border with Nuvo Crystal Drops and some clear circle dots in the middle with Ranger’s Glossy Accents. Both are staples in my card making stash.
The patterned papers on my card came from my shoebox of scraps. I forced myself to pick some papers from that box that just worked with the stamping rather than cutting into a couple new pieces of paper.
For the sentiment, I just stamped some words from the So Jelly set on a strip of white cardstock. And then I added a few more blue dots to it… just to go with the ones on the circle.
Alright! That’s all I have for you.
Be sure to hit Ashley’s blog to see her first take on the challenge. Be back again later.
Oh my gosh this is so cute. I love the sentiment.
I really like how you colored your sea creatures with added texture with the dots. So cute!
