Hi again!
A happy Thursday to you! I’m here once again with a take on the Lawn Fawn Challenge with my pal, Ashley. We both are sure having fun digging into our stashes and playing with their stamps and dies.
Meet today’s card.
Decided to make a birthday card today.
Pulled out the Hang In There stamp set (and coordinating dies) that I, ironically, treated myself to for my birthday last year. 😉 The sloth, leaves and hat are all from that set.
Did some good old coloring with markers to add color to the little guy. Went a little dark with the red on the hat, but, you know what? That’s OK. No need to try to be perfect every(single)time you make a card. Mistakes show a card’s handmade and heart went into making it.
To make the little guy seem a bit more realistic, I dabbed a teeny tiny amount of black Nuvo Crystal Drops on his eyes. By the way, I tested it out on scratch paper first to make sure I put the right amount down and used the right amount of pressure (squeeze) on the bottle to not get too much out of it.
The sentiment was created by combining together words from the So Much To Say set with words from the Hang In There set. Love when you can mix and match things and have them look good together.
Well, that’s it for this card. I’ll be back again later, friends. Thanks, as always, for stopping by. Be sure to swing by Ashley’s blog to see her latest challenge card!
I absolutely love this card! Thanks for sharing your design.
