25 in 25: Day 25 (12-6)

Hi all!
Meet today’s card, which just happens to be my final card in the 25 (holiday cards) in 25 (days) challenge.

Hard to believe this is it for the challenge.
I whipped out a couple Simon Says Stamp! products for this one: Their Holiday Labels stamp set and their Apothecary Labels 2 die set.
The paper and tree and snowflake die-cuts are from Studio Calico.

The rectangle is a paper coaster that I die-cut with my trusty Cuttlebug machine. To keep the die from slipping as I cut, I applied some Washi tape and then quickly removed it after cutting.
Easy peasy.

A big thanks for checking out my card, and for repeatedly checking out the 25 in 25 challenge. It’s been tons of fun. And don’t forget to check out Ashley’s card today. She’s the mastermind behind this challenge! I can’t wait to see her final challenge card!

By the way, I’m guesting in The CLASSroom today from Ellen Hutson as part of their 12 Tags with a Feminine Twist festivities. So fun!
Here’s a peek of the project you’ll see.

You can see the how-to and the whole project over there.
And be sure to check out the previous days. There are some amazing tags and techniques by some really incredible crafters! (Big thanks to Ellen for inviting me to play along. So honored you asked!)

10 Minute Craft Dash meets 25 in 25: Day 24 (12-5)

Hi all!

Another day. Another card in my quest for 25 in 25. Meet No. 24.

Today’s card was inspired by my sweet friend Paulina’s 10 Minute Craft Dash Challenge.

This challenge rocks! She challenges folks to make something in 10 minutes. This week, she’s challenging everyone to not only do it in 10 minutes but to also use the color red.

Up for the challenge? Give it a try. Paulina’s running the new challenge from 6 a.m. (PST) today until Dec. 15th at 11:59 p.m. PST. She’s got a special prize to give away to some lucky participant. Check out her blog for all the details.

Ok, going back to my card! 🙂

I spent 9 minutes on it! Just under the deadline…whew! 😉

I was going for the look of subway art here so I paired together a bunch of different stamps from the Joy and Let it Snow stamp sets by Kelly Purkey for Simon Says Stamp! Dig them much.

The sparkly silver stuff is glitter paper from my supply stash. Hard to tell but I plopped a couple red gems on top of it.  The striped patterned paper is from Pink Paislee.

That’s all for now.

Be sure to check out Ashley’s blog today, too. I’m excited to her Day 24 card for 25 in 25!

25 in 25: Day 23 (12-4)

Hello peeps!

So close to the end of 25 (cards) in 25 (days).

This is today’s card and Card No. 23.  Boy, we sure got to this day fast!

Just a little bit of this and a little bit of that on this one. A little bit of paper, a lot of buttons (some covered with red circles) and a sentiment sticker from Doodlebug.

Stuck with my norm here and dotted the “i” with a pearl. The star is one of Technique Tuesday’s Technique Tiles. It came white. I turned it yellow by brushing a yellow marker over it again and again.

I made the bow with a bit of twine from The Twinery.

Alright, that’s all for now.

Ash, hit us with Day 23! Can’t wait to see what you have in store.

See you again tomorrow.

Mama Elephant December Stampede (12-3)

Hi’ guys!

I’m excited to join my friends from Mama Elephant one last time for their December Stampede blog hop.

You should have arrived here the blog of the sweet and super awesome, Savannah O’Gwynn. If you are just tuning in, welcome to the hop!

So meet today’s card (and if you have been following along with my 25 in 25 efforts, No. 22!) !

I used Mama Elephant’s new No Peeking set. That’s the set the little reindeer guy is from.

I’m a big fan of their We Click set so I decided to fake a film strip with the little guy and some patterned paper and cardstock. I stamped him three times, giving him a black nose with gems twice and a red nose with a gem once. Also, I added another snapshot, tape and words from the We Click set.

Love it when you can mix stamp sets together.

This is the last stop on the hop! If you started along the way or are just starting out, head back to the start: The Mama Elephant Blog with Kryssi!

By the way, be sure to comment during the hop! Mama Elephant will be giving away a gift certificate to some lucky comment maker! Mama E. will announce the winner on their blog on 12/5.

Be back again tomorrow, y’all!

Ps… Don’t miss Ashley’s Day 22 card in the 25 (cards) in 25 (days) challenge! I can’t wait!

PSS… Who won the Paper Smooches blog hop prize from my blog? Congrats go out to Melinda Thao, who will receive a Woofers & Tweeters stamp set! Melinda, I sent you an email!

25 in 25: Day 21 (12-2)

Hello to Day 21 in the 25 (holiday cards) in 25 (days) challenge.

Whipped out my most FAVORITE owl stamp set ever —- Winter Owl from Lawn Fawn—– for this one. It is just so cute! Did a little a fussy cutting and embellishing to make a boy and girl owl.

Added the misteltoe and words from Lawn Fawn’s Bows and Holly set.

Funny story about that mistletoe stamp. Did you know mistletoe has white berries? I didn’t know that, and I submitted a card to one of Paper Crafts magazine’s Holiday Cards & More issues that used it with red berries.

I happened to sit through the submission judging at the meeting where the card was presented. It caught some eyes. (I had paired the stamp with the phrase “Kiss Me.” and hoped it would get selected for the issue’s card section.) A couple editors and Go-to Gals commented on it. (Another Go-to Gal… coughhh… cough…. sat at the table super silently and saying in her head, “Please, guys, do not realize that is my card. Please. Do. Not. Realize. It.  Look down, Teri. Look down. Avoid eye contact. AVOID. AVOID.“)

And then one editor quipped, rather quipped in her Michiganer voice, “Mistletoe has WHITE berries.” And off the table for consideration the card went… lol!

Said Go to Gal might have said in her head, “Tough crowd. Thank goodness that is over.”

Needless to say, I came home and changed the card up based on that. I changed the mistletoe’s berries to white berries from red berries. And wouldn’t you know it? I resubmitted the Kiss Me card for consideration for the November/December issue, and it got picked up. It’s on page 38, complete with WHITE berries, if you want to take a look. 🙂

I have not made another card until this one with that stamp… lol!

Anyway, be back tomorrow, y’all!

Don’t miss out on Ashley’s Day 21 card.

25 in 25: Day 19 (11-30)

And we here we again. 🙂

It’s Day 19 in the quest for 25 (holiday cards) in 25 (days).

And this is Day 19’s card.

This card was a real mix and match job.

I used papers from Pebbles’ Walnut Grove Collection, dies from Pink Paislee, a chipboard tag from someone I can’t remember (wink!), a wood tree from Studio Calico and words from the December Daily 2012 by Ali Edwards stamp set from Technique Tuesday.

Always satisfying to mix lots of different stuff together and come up with something that makes me say, “Yeah. I did that.” 🙂

Can’t to see what Ashley made for Day 19. Sooooo close the end, Ash. 😉

Be back tomorrow!

Meet today’s card and project for the hop!

The dog, bird, hydrant and a “a little birdie” words are from the new Woofers and Tweeters stamp set. Being a dog owner (there are two in my family – Marley and Rasma), this set had me howling the minute I saw it. So fun!

Today marks Day 18 of the 25 (holiday cards) in 25 (days) challenge I’ve been doing with my friend, Ashley, so I decided to make this  hop card my Day 18 card. To give it the holiday feel, I added some stamps from Paper Smooches’ Chilly Chums, Winter Groves and Christmas Sampler sets. The conversation bubble is from their He Said, She Said set.

That’s all for now.

By the way, interested in the 25 in 25 challenge? Check out Ashley’s take on Day 18. I’m sure it’s going to be pretty dang great!

See you again tomorrow.

25 in 25: Day 17 (11-28)

Hello again!

Day 17 in 25 in 25 is here.

So meet today’s card.

Whipped into my special stash of Lawn Fawn papers for this one. I been hoarding …. errrr… saving….  the Fa-la-la collection for awhile. Such a fun, happy collection.  The jute looking stuff is some of their Natural Cord Lawn Trimmings.

The words are the Snowflake Greetings set from Cas-ual Fridays Stamps.

Ashley’s up the challenge again today. Be sure to check out her blog to see how she tackled Day 17.

Be back again tomorrow!

25 in 25: Day 16 (11-27)

Hello again!

Another day. Another notch in the 25 in 25 Challenge belt.

So here we go. Woohoo!
(Meet today’s card.)

Paired together a couple Technique Tuesday stamp sets: Jingle All the Way by Ali Edwards and Bright Idea (not by Ali… giggle, giggle!).

The papers are from Bazzill, Simple Stories and someone else I can’t remember.

Can’t wait to see Ashley’s take on Day 16. Go, Ash, go! 🙂

Be back tomorrow.

25 in 25: Day 15 (11-26)

So we meet again for the 25 in 25 challenge.

We are on Day 15. Hooray!

So, with that, meet today’s card.

Did a bit of mixing and matching today.

Brought together some patterned papers from  Pink Paislee and Basicgrey, wood trees from Studio Calico, snowflake punches from Fiskars and a banner die from Savvy Stamps.
There’s some glitter paper on there, too. Can’t get enough of the fun stuff.

Can’t wait to see Ashley’s take on day 15. Kinda freaked out a lot when I saw her awesome day 14 card. Sooo rad.

See you again tomorrow.
