Christmas Blog Hop with Technique Tuesday

Hi, guys!

I’m happy to be blog hoppity hopping today with the Design Team from Technique Tuesday!

Technique Tuesday released some Christmas stamps and dies in August and September and we’re celebrating by sharing some projects made with them. We are also celebrating that they will be releasing even more Christmas stamps and dies over the next few months. (Hint: Lights! Hint: Cocoa! And more! I totally said too much. Let’s keep that between you and me! But know that I cannot wait for you to see what TT has up their sleeves!)

First, let me give you the hop list.

Now, let me show you the projects!

I’ve been dying to share this first project for someone time.

The sweet little guy is on it is my friends’ little fella, who celebrated his first Christmas last year.

Holiday-Magic-Scrapbook-Page-Teri-A-Technique-Tuesday

Is he just the cutest reindeer? Makes my heart smile! ūüôā

I used a few different Technique Tuesday products to decorate this page. First, I used the new Story of December set to add the date to it and to create that Story of December label you see. And then I used some previously released stamp sets to do the rest of the stamping: Classic Christmas Sentiments and Spirit of December. I also used the Ribbon & Holly dies to add the ribbon and holly leaves to the page. I just love the ribbon and holly berry. They look so cool when cut from glitter paper.

Now I didn’t use the December Moments set to stamp anything on the page, but the sentiments in that set would have worked perfect on my labels too. That set is packed with good scrapbooking stamps.

Now, here’s my second project.

A stamped Christmas card by Teri | terisplace.wordpress.com

For this little Christmas card, I created one big sentiment by combining phrases from the December Moments and Christmas Birds stamp sets.

DecemberBirdsCard-teri

The little birds and presents were also stamped with the Christmas Birds set. They were cut with the matching crafting dies. Now there’s no tree in the stamp set but there’s a little piece of greenery in the Spirit of December set that makes a good substitute tree… and is sized as such that (just a happy coincidence) it works with the birds. Yay for happy coincidences!

Alright! That’s all I have!

This is, officially, the last design team stop on the hop! If you haven’t already hit the Technique Tuesday blog, please do so. You’ll find the complete hop list there, plus you will want to comment on their post, as well as the this post and the rest of the DT’s posts, as there is a Technique Tuesday gift certificate up for grabs for a lucky someone who leaves a comment on one of the posts. Comments will be taken until midnight on the 20th! The winner will be announced on the 22nd on the Technique Tuesday blog.

Thanks for stopping… and hopping… on by! I always appreciate it when you do, friends. Thank you.

Hi guys!

Super excited to be joining some of my favorite paper crafters and crafting companies for the this year’s Seasons Givings Blog Hop!

This little hop, dreamed up 6 years ago by friend, Latisha, is a fun way to celebrate the crafting community. Everybody bands together to share blog posts and do a giveaway … on every single stop.

It’s a fun way to kick off the new year!

I’ve got just something small this year for my giveaway.

IMG_1898[1]

I have a set of Pa-Rum-Pa-Pum-Pum stamps from Lawn Fawn (yes, they are slightly yellow but they have never been used) and a couple fun pens (an orange gel pen and a Cactus gel pen). I’ve got some plans involving funky pens like them in 2018. Stay tuned for that.

For a shot at my giveaway, leave a comment on my blog midnight PST on Jan. 6th, 2018. I’ll pick a winner and notify her or him sometime on the 8th. I’ll announce it here after I’ve notified the winner.

Alright! That’s what I got. Here’s a complete list of blog hoppers! Be sure to check out all the stops.

Happy hopping!

PS-StitchedCircleDie-Teri

Just played to play when I made this card. I used the stitched circle die to make the cross stitch panel. Then I used the new Embroidery Hoop dies with it to frame the circle. I did place a solid circle of black cardstock behind it so one could see the stamped and stitched coffee cup design.

The coffee cup was stamped with the new In Stitches stamp set. Then I used embroidery floss to stitch over the pattern. Took quite awhile for me (a non-stitcher) but it was awfully fun to do!

By the way, you might be wondering about the words. I stamped those bad boys with the Cyber Cafe stamp set. Such a fun one.

Alright! That’s all I have for you for now. Be back again later, gators. Thanks, as always, for stopping by!

Winter Coffee Lovers Bloghop

Hi guys!

Me again! Shocked? Been on a bit of a card roll and couldn’t resist sharing one more quick card made in honor of the Coffee Lovers Bloghop.

Drum roll, please. Here we go.

BeanCupCard_teri

Boom! Wink!

It was quick to make this one. Had the stamps so… just wanted to play.

The cup and assorted cup-like things are all from Lawn Fawn’s Pumpkin Spice set. Yes, so, so cute… and a must for a Pumpkin Spice Latte lover, although it could totally pass off for cocoa. Don’t you agree?

The words from the Perk Up set from Technique Tuesday.

Always fun to pair two sets together that are different styles but have the same theme going on. Mixing and matching really does make me happy.

Used my trusty white Nuvo Crystal Dots to add some subtle dots with the shaking scene that’s going on. Super simple but a fun way to add a little kick to a card.

Anyhoooo, that’s what I got. Be sure to swing by the hop. So many great cards! Bravo to all the participants!

Coffee Lovers Bloghop + Christmas Challenge

24294259_10215207199043879_5251524333878353277_n

Hi guys!

Me again. Back with another card! Today’s card is a two-fer!

I made with because of my annual Christmas Card Challenge with Ashley! But it was also inspired by the Winter Coffee Lovers Blog Hop.

So meet today’s card.

A handmade card by Teri // terisplace.wordpress.com

Created the mug of goodness with the help of the Mug Hugs stamp set from Sunny Studio stamps. Did a little masking so I could make it look like the candy cane was in the mug. I stamped the heart right onto the mug too. It fit perfectly.

Grounded the mug by stamping a mask on sticky note paper, placing it over and it and then sponging on some black ink. I removed the mask and ended up with that little shadow.

The words are the bottom of the card are also from the Mug Hugs stamp set.

Once again, that’s all I have for you. Be sure to check out the Coffee Lovers Bloghop to see all the other coffee-inspired cards! So many good ones.

And be sure to swing by Ashley’s blog to see her take today on our annual Christmas Card Challenge!

Thanks, as always, for stopping by. You are the best.

Hi guys !

Back on the old blog-a-roo with another card to share! Couldn’t resist making something in honor of the Winter Coffee Lovers Bloghop.

So meet today’s card.

Cha-cha! ūüėČ

Just had fun here, letting the frame cutting die-cut lead me on where to place the stamped images.

The cups, beans, heart, steam and words are all from the Perk Up stamp set, which (in full disclosure here) I designed for Technique Tuesday.

Perk-Up-Clear-Stamps-Technique-Tuesday

I did all the coloring on the card with markers. I was trying to be all cool and stuff so I added a little shadow at the bottom of each cup with a darker marker and then blended in the color with the lighter marker. The shadow on the cups is subtle but I think it looks kinda cool.

LoveCoffeeCardclose_teri

I did the same thing with the coffee beans too. ūüôā

I wish I had more to say to you, but it’s the end of the weekend. I’m tired. The writing tank is dry so that’s what I got. I’ll try to give you a wordier post next time.

But be sure to swing by the Bloghop to see lots of other cool coffee-themed projects. Always so fun to see what everyone comes up with!

See you again soon, friends. Thanks, as always, for stopping by!
