Back again with another caffeine-inspired card. Super happy to be linking it up the latest Coffee Loving Cardmakers Blog Hop too! (So many great projects have been shared so far! Great job everyone!)
Created this card with the Caffeinated stamp set from Paper Smooches. I had colored in the tea glass and little fellas a bit back, but I never used on a project. Totally inspired by the hop to pull them out and put them on a card.
The patterned papers are from my big old box of scraps. Anyone else out there still keep a box of paper scraps? I honestly can’t remember the last time I picked up much new patterned paper. Have so much older stuff (but still dang good) stuff to use.
Oh and the sentiment! Created the custom sentiment by mixing together words from the Caffeinated set and the Caffeinated Two set.
Alright! That is it for me! Hope you enjoyed checking out my card! Don’t forget to check out ALL the awesome cards uploaded to the hop. So, so many good ones!
It’s “that time” again… blog hop time with the Coffee Loving Cardmakers! I LOVE this hope because it inspires me to pull out my coffee stamps and play so consider this your warning. I’ll be sharing quite a few coffee cards over the next week or so as the inspiration juju is flowing strong! Get ready for it! (Wink!)
Anyway, here’s my first card for the latest hop!
I had a few scraps of patterned paper left on my desk from other recent projects so I simply took them and plopped them on a card created from kraft cardstock. Then I pulled out a couple Paper Smooches stamp sets and stamped the coffee cups, hearts and steam, partly on the patterned paper strips and partly on the card. Rather than using markers, I used colored pencils to add a little “rough” color to the cups. I didn’t fuss over perfection. I simply wanted to add a little color, hence the “embrace imperfection” look of this card.
I finished the card by adding the sentiments to it. To make the “mocha” phrase not run into the “hello” word, I simply stamped it on a strip of cardstock. Always a fun way to add a little visual interest to a card. I also added a few dots with Nuvo Crystal Drops. Love those things.
Alrighty, guys! This is it for me. I’ll be back again later with another card to share with you.
And don’t forget to take some time and check out the hop over the next few days. There’s always a great deal of inspiration shared. All kinds of styles, all kinds of images too. It’s always so fun to see what everyone comes up with… and just how many projects everyone makes in honor of the hop.

Without any more delay, here’s my card for the hop!
Ta-da! It’s a new card, created just for the hop. I used a couple different Paper Smooches stamp sets: Daddy Yo 2 and Hot Concoctions for all the images.
Thought it would be fun to dress up the coffee cups. To save on time though, I stamped them on patterned paper before cutting them out with a die.
The sentiment was created by pairing together words from the Caffeinated stamp set.
Alright. So that’s it for today’s card.
Don’t forget to keep buzzing along and blog hopping for more card inspiration… plus you’ll also get a chance to win a prize for leaving comments along the way. .

OK! So let’s get on with the project.
I had a super strong desire to create a Harry Potter-inspired card so I stamped the glassed on the Boba Tea cup (all from the Caffeinated stamp set). Then I used a black pen to draw a mark like Harry’s onto the top of the glass.
I didn’t have a wand stamp, but there are some super cute stars in the So Fairy Cute stamp set. I stamped a whole bunch of those to add the “magical” feeling of the card.
The sentiment was created by pairing the “bobalicious” word from the Caffeinated Two stamp set with the “you are” from one of the stamps in the Caffeinated set.
Anyway, thought it turned out pretty fun! Looking forward to sending this card to one of my friends.
Alright! That’s it for today. Thanks again, friends, for stopping by. I always appreciate your kind words. See you again real soon.
Feeling the card making bug the last few days. Back with another card to share with you. Today’s card is coffee-themed.
A unicorn holding a coffee cup? Yes. Yes, indeed!
The image (from the Unicorn Ice Castle stamp set from Flora & Fauna) truly inspired this card. It’s Christmas stamp set, but that didn’t hold me back. I mean, hello, coffee. I could send something with this little lady on it all year long to one of my friends.
I created the background by sponging ink in a circle on my card and then drawing a circle with a black pen. To add some interest to the sky, I stamped some stars (with the Peek-a-Boo Pals set from Avery Elle) and added some dots with a white pen and white Nuvo Crystal Drops.
The sentiment was created by pairing together sentiments from stamp sets from Avery Elle and My Favorite Things. Fun how they look like they were made to go together. A happy discovery indeed.
Alright. That is it for now.
Oh wait! One more thing! Speaking of unicorns, have you seen my unicorn enamel pin? I made him awhile back, offering him at Plannercon. I put her up in an Etsy shop. (You can also find him at Simon Says Stamp! and Doodlebugs. Both are wonderful places to pick up crafty things… and enamel pins too!)
Sneaking in, under the wire, with just one more card for the Spring | Summer 2019 Coffee Lovers Blog Hop.
Just having fun, playing around, with this card. The cups were created with the new Daddy Yo 2 stamp set (and Daddy Yo Icons dies) from Paper Smooches. The stamp set is a guy-themed set, but it’s possible with the elements in it to make girl coffee cup. 🙂
My go-to colors for a “girl” coffee cup are pink and red, but I decided to throw caution to the wind this time and make a purple cup. It’s a color I don’t often color with.
Oh, and just for kicks, I decided to make the girl cup’s glasses seem a little more real by adding a few small drops of Glossy Accents to the lenses. Just a fun little touch.
The words are from the Dude Sampler stamp set, also from Paper Smooches.
Ok! That’s it for me today. Thank you for stopping by. Once again, before to check out the hop. So many amazing projects. Great job, everybody!
Just squeaking in a last minute card in honor of the latest Coffee Lovers Blog Hop.
I’ve been busy with life stuff so haven’t had much time to craft during the hop this time. Such a bum dog. The hop always inspires me to get to my craft table… and play, play, play! But, at least, I’ve got one card for the hop, even if it is the last day! 😉
Created this little card with the new Tea-riffic stamp set from The Letter Lingo. Such a darling little set. Rather than going all coffee like for this one (because the genius of the set is can be used to make coffee or TEA cards), I decided to make a tea-themed card.
Did a little “old school” masking so the girl would look like she was peeking around the cup.
Totally last minute decision to add the sentiment to the cup. Originally, I’d been planning to stamp it elsewhere but saw it would fit perfectly on it and ran with it.
Alright! That’s it for me. I’ll be back again later, gators. Thanks for stopping by! And don’t forget to check out the hop! There are so many lovely projects linked up to it!
The cards just keep coming. Yessss! 🙂
I was inspired yet again by the latest Coffee Lovers Blog Hop to make today’s card.
I once again whipped out the Thanks a Latte stamps and dies from Lawn Fawn. It’s such a cute set!
I stamped and die-cut the mugs, scarves and heart. I colored them in with markers and then set them aside.
I sponged some blue ink onto a card in a circle. I added the cups and hearts to it, and then stamped the snowflakes, steam and sentiments.
For a finishing touch, I added a few white drops with my white Nuvo Crystal Drops. I sure like it adds to cards…. and yet…. still keeps your cards relatively flat and easily mailable.
Alrighty. This post is short and sweet… and all I have. I’ll be back again later, gators.
Don’t forget to check out the hop. So many wonderful projects have been linked up so far. So…. stinking… many. If you love coffee, cocoa or tea, this hop is worth checking out!
Hello again, friends!
I’m still on a coffee/cocoa card kick, thanks to the Fall | Winter Coffee Loving Cardmakers Blog Hop. (Thanks, guys, for inspiring me to use the stuff in my crafty stash of goods!)
Today’s card features the Mug Hugs stamp set from Sunny Studio Stamps. It’s such a cute set of stamps.
I simply stamped the cup twice on white cardstock and stamped a snowflake on each cup. I colored them in with markers and then fussy cut them out.
I die-cut the rounded rectangle with a die from My Favorite Things. I sponged some ink onto it and stamped the words, hearts and snowflakes onto it. I added a little color with markers and then popped some holes in the panel with the small circle punch on Crop-a-Dile tool.
I put some patterned paper on the card and added the rectangle. And then…. magic happened again! I squirted some drops of Glossy Accents right over the holes. When it dried, I ended up with a pretty cool look!
Alright. That’s it for today.
Don’t forget to check out the hop (and, maybe, link up some cards of your own). So many fun projects to see!
Back again with a couple more cards inspired by the Fall | Winter Coffee Lovers Blog Hop.
Maybe a month or so ago, I pulled all my coffee, tea and cocoa stamps from my various stamp bins and put them all together. I’m so thankful for this challenge as it’s given me a reason to use those stamps, which I was kinda surprised to see how many I had amassed over time.
I really wanted to make a chalkboard inspired card so I pulled out the Warm Wishes stamp from Neat & Tangled. I heat embossed it with white embossing powder on a panel die-cut from white cardstock. And then, the magic happened. I slowly applied black ink to the panel with a sponge. It is amazing. The more ink you add, the more chalky it looks. But the white background helps keep it feeling chalkboard’ish.
Once I covered the panel with ink, I buffed the embossed image with a paper towel and spritz on some diluted white paint (with a spray bottle).
I wanted more of a rustic feel for this card so I used a bunch of paper scraps with a more vintage feel.
I liked the card so much that I made a second one. This time, I went with a blue color scheme.
One thing I did a little different was add a few drops of Glossy Accents to the Warm Wishes panel and dump some glass glitter on to them.
I kinda sorta dig the look. Definitely going to do that again before Winter is over on a few cards. 🙂
Alright! That is it for me today.
Don’t forget to check out the hop if you haven’t already. So many awesome projects have been uploaded so far. Great job, guys! The hop runs through the 7th.
Be back again tomorrow.
