Today’s Fancy Made Things

Hi all!

Got a couple simple stamped projects to share with you today. Both were made in the spirit of Thanksgiving.

Meet Fancy Made Thing #1.

Thanksgiving Wine Bottle Tag by Teri

And  meet Fancy Made Thing #2.

Happy Thanksgiving card by Teri

I had made a bunch of leaves awhile back with Autumn Acorns stamp set and coordinating Autumn Acorns dies from Ellen Hutson. I used them on a couple projects and still had a few leftover that I didn’t just want to trash. So yeah. I whipped these guys together.

Thought the tag would make a nice addition to a bottle of wine to take to a friend. And the card would be enjoyed by another friend on Thanksgiving Day.

Be back again later, gators.

First up is this snazzy number, using the new Autumn Acorns dies with the Autumn Acorns stamp set.

I kinda went crazy making the leaves. I die-cut the leaves from watercolor paper, applied watercolors to them and let them dry slightly. Then spritzed them with water to give them a molted look. I let them finish drying and then stamped on top.
If you look on the card closely, you’ll see I also stamped the leaf a couple times and embossed it onto my background.

The dots are actually some dots stamps that are included with the Autumn Acorns stamp set. I just thought they just made a nice accent for the card so I stamped them a couple times. 😉
I created so many leaves as I made that first card that I made a bonus project to share with you today. I made this little wreath to share with you. I think it would be fun to decorate a kid’s room with or even use as a place setting decoration on a Thanksgiving table.

To keep the leaves on the wreath (and from falling off), I used hot glue. 😉
And here’s one more card to share with you today.
Santa's Flight card by Teri
I created this little scene with the new Santa’s Flight stamp set + the new Tis the Season dies (and coordinating Tis the Season stamp set).
I always get really excited when you can mix different products together.  When I saw the Santa in the Santa’s Flight, I thought how perfect it would be to create a little scene with.
Alright! So that’s what I have for you!
The next stop on the hop is the blog of the wonderfully kind, Laurel Beard! Take it away, Laurel!
And if you get lost during the hop, please visit the CLASSroom blog for a complete list of all the designers taking part in today’s fun!
Happy blog hopping! And thank you so much for stopping by today!

banner-PIN-sights

Hi everyone!

Super excited to be playing along with the June Essentials by Ellen Pin-sights Challenge over in the CLASSroom on Ellen Hutson’s site!

What is the challenge you ask? Well, the Essentials by Ellen Pin-Sights challenge is a monthly inspirational challenge based on a Pinterest Inspired photo that is located on the CLASSroom blog. A random challenge participant will receive a $50 gift certificate to the Ellen Hutson store. To be eligible, participants must use Essentials by Ellen products and they must use the photo badge as inspiration.

50 Store Credit

You know, it’s fun to play… and it’s fun to have a challenge to motivate you to use all those Essentials by Ellen products you’ve been collecting, in my personal opinion. 😉

So here is this month’s inspiration photo.

June

I was inspired by colors and all those glorious circles to make this card.

Hello Love Deer card by Teri

If you look really close at the background, you’ll see a ton of circles. I stamped them all with blue ink and the Bokeh Dots stamp set.

It’s not everyday you see a pink laurel wreath, but in my world, you do on  card. 😉 Same thing goes for an orange stag. Wink! 😉 Again, totally influenced by the colors seen in the inspiration photo.

By the way, you might be wondering about the sentiment. I created it by pairing together the Brushstroke Love die with a stamp from the Hello Gorgeous stamp set.

The little pops of gold were added to my card with enamel dots, but they were inspired by that lovely gold dotted pillow.

Alright! So that’s what I have for you. Want to take part in this month’s challenge? Head to the challenge post here to link your projects up!

Today’s card

Hi all!

Ever have an idea and just want to run with it? That’s the story of today’s card.

Love To You card

It all started because I was playing around with paint splatter for fun and made this background. And then I got to thinking about my stash of Essentials by Ellen dies and stamps… and then kinda started thinking I could make a Valentine’s card.

So I just kinda started grabbed things. Challenged myself. And this is what I came up with.

Love To You card

I think it’s pretty fun! I mean, how often do you see a pink stag? Yep. Not often. 😉

I’ll be back again later, friends. Have a great day!
