Go-to Gal Designer Challenge: Neat and Tangled

Hey all!

It’s time for another challenge with the Go-to Gals. This time, we challenged each other to make something with products from Neat and Tangled.

So what’s the scoop with these challenges? Well, every so often we challenge each  to make something (TOTALLY for the fun of it) with a specific manufacturer’s products. Sometimes, we all play. Sometimes, we all don’t. That’s OK because it’s all about having fun.

Neat and Tangled was an easy choice! Super cute + super fun products. Plus, Danielle, the owner of Neat and Tangled, is a gem! I’ve had the chance to hang out with her on more than one occasion and can tell you that she is 110% good people! (Hugs, Danielle!)

So enough blabber (… because I really could go on and on and on), here’s the card I made.

g2g_nt_warmwishes1_teri

By the way, there’s a card I shared the other day, using the same watercolor technique but with N&T’s Favorite stamp.

Here’s how I did it for this card: I just cut a base card from watercolor paper and then scribbled a lot of color with watercolor pencils onto it and then randomly spread the color with water.

I stamped on top with Neat and Tangled’s Warm Wishes stamp. I love that stamp so much! It makes me giddy.

Oh, and if you look really close at my card, you’ll see I added a little bit of white color to the mug. I did that with a pencil. And then I added a little hand stitching with my needle and floss.

Can’t wait to see what rest of the Go-to-Gal crew has cooked up this time

Have a great day, all! Be back again soon.

Go-to-Gal Designer Challenge: Stampin’ Up!

Hi guys!

It’s time for another Go-to Gal challenge. This time, we’ve challenged each other to make something with some of the cool products from Stampin’ Up!

What’s the deal with these challenges? Well, every so often we challenge each  to make something (really, totally,  just for the fun of it) with a specific manufacturer’s products. Sometimes, we all play. Sometimes, we all don’t. That’s OK because it’s all about having fun.

So here’s a card I cooked up to share with you.

g2g_su_snowflakes1_teri

I created the background by scribbling watercolor crayons on a stamping block, spritzing the colors with water and then pulling the color down my panel of paper.

The words and snowflakes from a sweet stamp set called Endless Wishes, which has all these gorgeous Christmas and holiday sayings + some really pretty snowflakes.

So that’s what I have today.

I’m excited to see what the rest of the Go-to-Gal crew has cooked up.

Have a great day, all! Be back again soon.

Go-to Gal Designer Challenge: Winnie & Walter

Hi all!

It’s time again for another Designer Challenge with the Go-to Gals.

We’ve challenged each other this time to make something with the fine products from Winnie & Walter.

What’s the deal with these challenges? Well, every so often we challenge each  to make something (really, totally. just for the fun of it) with a specific manufacturer’s products. Sometimes, we all play. Sometimes, we all don’t. That’s OK because it’s all about having fun.

Here’s what I came up with.

WW_HappyEngagement1_teri

I made this using a couple Winnie & Walter stamp sets – The Big, the Bold and Extras and The Big, the Bold and the Happy. One of the things I dig (a lot) is when different products can  be combined and easily used together. And, boy, Winnie & Walter has done an awesome job at making stamp sets that work together.

ww_happyengagement2_teri

Pretty much everything here is stamped, other than the frame that I drew with a black pen and, of course, the dots. 😉

So that’s what I have.

I’m anxious to see what the rest of the Go-to-Gal crew has cooked up.

Have a great day, all! Be back again soon.

Go-to Gal Designer Challenge: IMAGINE Crafts/Tsukineko

Well, well, well, friends! We meet again! It’s time for another challenge with the Go-to Gals.

We’ve challenged each other this time to make something with the fine products from IMAGINE Crafts/Tsukineko.

What’s the deal with these challenges? Well, every so often we challenge each  to make something (just for the fun of it) with a specific manufacturer’s products. Sometimes, we all play. Sometimes, we all don’t. That’s OK because it’s all about having fun.

So here’s what I made.

g2g_thankyoubrightstripes_teri

I’ve been a Tsukineko ink fan as long as I can remember. In fact, my Tsukineko black ink pads sit on my desk at all times.

For this project, I have been itching to make something with their Radiant Neon ink pads so I challenged myself to use for today’s challenge.

Nothing really super fancy here. I just took some stamps (from Avery Elle), inked them up and then stamped them one after the other. You’ll notice that I left them overlap a little. I love that the ink still pops even with that little overlapping.

Can’t wait to see what the rest of the crew cooked up.

Be back again later, gators!

PS. Who scored the stash of Studio AE stamps mentioned in this post here? Well, that would be JilldHawkins. Jill, I’ve sent you an email! Thanks to all who left comments. I’ll have another giveaway here in the next week or so!

Go-to Gal Designer Challenge: Fancy Pants

Hi all!

It’s challenge time yet again with the Go-to Gals.

This time, we challenged each other to make something with some (super duper) fine products from Fancy Pants Designs. We had the opportunity to visit Fancy Pants HQ during our Editorial Board meeting this year. Jodi was so nice, showing off some of their new releases and letting us make a card, giving us the full-tour of Fancy Pants Designs and letting us run a bit wild in the warehouse. 😉 There might have been crazy smiles involved… and giddiness. Lots of giddiness.

Enter Exhibit A (aka: Proof).

Aptly captioned after that fun time: “We got Fancy. Thank you, Fancy Pants. ”

(Yes, thank you, Fancy Pants!)

So I’ve got two projects to share with you. Both were made with lots and lots of Fancy Pants Designs goodness.

This is No. 1.

And this is No. 2. This is just a little gift sack. 😉

Thanks for stopping by.

Go-to Gal Designer Challenge: Die Cuts with a View (5-28)

We meet again!

It’s time for another Designer Challenge with the Go-to Gals.

What the deal with these challenges? Simple. It’s a “for fun” thing with the Go-to Gals. Once a month, we challenge each other to make something with a specific manufacturer’s products. Sometimes, we all play. Sometimes, we don’t. But the important thing is this: We are having fun!

We challenged each other this month to make something with products from Die Cuts with a View. I think DCWV is one of those manufacturers that everyone who paper crafts knows about and has owned some of their products at one time or another. Their product line is easy to find and vast with lots of stacks of patterned papers, cardstocks and other crafting items.

I pulled out one of their 6×6 printed kraft paper stacks (love) and some of their adhesive-backed cork paper (double love) and whipped up this guy,

dcwv_good1_teri

I added a few doodads from my stash and a stamped sentiment from the Rah Rah Sentiments set from Technique Tuesday.

Can’t wait to see what the rest of the crew cooked up.

(Betsy had to take a break this month, but she’ll be back next time!)

And that’s all for now.

Go-to Gal Designer Challenge: Echo Park Paper (3-26)

Hi all!

It’s challenge time again with the Go-to Gals.

We decided this time to challenge each other to make something with products from Echo Park Paper.

What’s the deal with these challlenges, you ask? Well, here’s the scoop. Every month (unless we take a break… because we are flexible like that), we pick a manufacturer and challenge each other to make something with that manufacturer’s products. Sometimes, we all play. Sometimes, we don’t. That’s OK because it’s a “just for fun” thing! 🙂 And it’s also editor-free, which I mean in a 100% loving way. (Note to any editor who may be reading this, just in case: I really do love you guys…. mostly. I KID! I KID! Chillax, man. Sheesh. Tough crowd.)

Ok. So… ummm… yeah. Here’s what I made for this month’s challenge.

ep_awesomedude1_teriI just love Echo Park’s That’s my Boy collection by Lori Whitlock. I don’t have boys. Heck, I don’t have kids (just a dog… a boy dog… but a dog), but I love the feel of the collection. All kinds of fun icons, great colors and good patterns. All in all, it’s the kind of collection that just makes me happy.

I paired together a lot of stickers from the collection for this card. I also added a bit of dimension by placing foam tape under the green and yellow panels. It just adds a little something, I think..

ep_awesomedude2_teriNow, don’t tell my Go-to Gal sistahs in crime that I did cheat a little by adding a couple other elements not from Echo Park to my card (the enamel dot from Doodlebug and the wood star from Studio Calico). Other than that, it’s totally an Echo Park fest of happiness.

Can’t wait to see what the rest of the crew cooked up.

And that’s all for now.

PS. I’m talking trends over on Moxie Fab World today. I’m talking about one that I’ve especially liked watching “unfold”… or fold.
