I’m back with a new more new Technique Tuesday projects. These cards feature products that will debut on August 1st on their website.
Let’s get started.
This first card features the new Olive the Octopus stamps and dies. Olive is the latest critter Technique Tuesday’s Animal House collection. (They’ve got a sea creatures them going on right now. Last month, they introduced Simon & Sandy Seahorse.)
I wanted to create a happy scene so I used patterned paper for my background here. And then I added bubbles created with drops of Glossy Accents. The color scheme? I decided fun colors rather than realistic colors was more jam this time.
This card features the new Sunny Flowers stamp set. This is a really good set to color with markers! (Ask TT’s Bev. If I struggle with coloring stamps with markers, I never hold that back from telling her and the gang.) The flowers are nice and open, and you can really get to the small spots easily with your marker tips. I love that.
Once I colored in the flowers and vase, I fussy cut them out rather than using the coordinating dies. And then I added a layer of Glossy Accents to the vase to make it look, well, glassy vase like. I think it turned out pretty fun!
Alright! That’s it for today. Be sure to stop by the Technique Tuesday blog once again to see who else from the design team is sharing projects today. Plus be sure to visit the New Products page on the Technique Tuesday website on the 1st to snag all the products that have caught your eye!
It’s almost release time again at Technique Tuesday, and I’m excited to share with you today a card made with some of the new products that will debut on June 1st.
This card features the new Strawberry stamp set, as well as the new Jam Jar Labels dies.
I went out of the box with this one. I was inspired to do some embossing by Amy, who has created some really eye catching cards where she had embossed images with white ink and then added color to them.
I heat embossed the Strawberry plant with white embossing powder onto watercolor paper. (Of course, the first thing I did was brush over the panel with an embossing buddy.) And then I used my Zig Quick Color Markers to add a little bit of color to the panel. Then I used a water pen to spread the color around.
The panel looked kinda ugly as it drying, but what a difference a few hours makes! It sure looks pretty now.
Once I plopped the panel on my card, I added some patterned paper strips along the side. And I added the stamped label, sequins and gold thread. Wondering where that gold thread is? Look under the label. It’s subtle but adds just the right hint of sparkle.
You’ll find the Strawberry Stamp Set, plus the label dies, on the New Products page on the Technique Tuesday website on the 1st. Be sure to stop by their blog today, too, to see the full reveal of some of the new products and to find links to the rest of the design team members sharing projects today.
Be back tomorrow.
Just another card to share today.
I lived on the edge and whipped out my markers again. Yes, I did. Everyone breathing OK? Still standing? Hope so… wink?!
I thought the new flower from Technique Tuesday’s Greenhouse Society collection, Ranunculus, was pretty… and, well, looked marker friendly for a non-friendly to markers girl like myself. So I did the marker thing again. 😉
I even did a little shading. Baby steps, people. Baby steps. I have to admit that I had a lot of fun with this one.
By the way, here’s the stamp set.
Love it so much! Ranks high on my favorites list for TT’s Greenhouse Society stamps.
I’ll be back again later. Thanks for stopping by!
Just a card to share today.
Made this one with Technique Tuesday’s new Hello – Greenhouse Society stamp set, which debuts officially today.
I love all the phrases in the set, especially. So many different combinations to put together.
I ended with a kinda cool, kinda bleached look on the card.
I stamped the flowers on a light blue patterned paper. Then I outlined much of the flower with a light blue marker. I also added a little color in the middle of that big sunflower. It’s subtle but cool!
That’s all I have! Be back later, gators!
Well, well, well. We meet again.
I’d like to introduce you to today’s card.
It’s a bit more on the traditional side this time with the design than the last couple cards I’ve shared.
This one uses the Evergreen – Greenhouse Society stamp set from Technique Tuesday. I once again went for a shadow look with the set by stamping the trees once and then stamping them a second time without reinking the stamp. Really like that shadow-y feel.
That’s all I have swirling around in this little brain of mine today!
Be back again later! Hope you all are off to a good weekend!
Meet today’s card!
Whipped this bad boy up with a couple stamp sets from Technique Tuesday: Christmas Day by Ali & the Evergreen – Greenhouse Society stamp set. It goes on sale today. But here’s a sneak peek! I know people, ya know. 😉
I stamped the trees once and then stamped again (without re-inking) to create the shadow look.
Kinda fun! That’s all I have for today. Be back later! Thanks for swinging by today.
PS… Did you see this card my friend Nina made? I might have designed the Good to Snow stamp set she used to make it. Smiling big, Nina! I LOVE IT!
Just a little something, something today.
Made this one with the April Greenhouse Society stamp set from Technique Tuesday. It goes on sale today on their Web site. (eta: As I was writing this, I noticed you can also find it through Ellen Hutson.)
The words are from their Happyville – Home stamp set.
I went all “old school” here and whipped out a really old set of chalks to do the coloring to the tulips. To give them a bit more depth, I first colored the leaves and flowers with lighter colors of chalk and then added a layer of darker color to them.
Really seemed to help.
The patterned paper? Well, that’s just a bunch of scraps left over from other projects I’ve been working on.
That’s all I have for you for now. Be back again later, gators. 🙂
