A few things…

Hey all!

Just a quick post for today so let’s do it list style.

* I had a couple pocket style pages show up on the Simple Stories blog this weekend. Here’s a peek.

sept_rightclose_teri

Would be honored if you checked it out. you’ll find a ridiculously easy way to make a shaker in with a pocket page too. The back story? Well, I had a light bulb moment and figured how to to make a shaker, but how to keep it so I could still use the pocket when I went to use the backside of the page. Check out the post for the scoop.

* Who won the Keep Smiling stamp set mentioned in my Technique Tuesday Blog Hop post? That would be Tsurutadesigns (9/19 at 3:49 a.m.). I’ve just sent you an email! 🙂 Thanks to everyone who stopped by and commented on my post (and the posts from the rest of the team).

* Do you make cut files? I’m looking for cut files makers who like to share their work to feature over on Moxie Fab World in the future. If you are, leave a comment for me so I can check out your stuff.

* Finally, got some new stuff coming soon from Technique Tuesday. Here’s a sneak peek of something from one of the somethings. (Watch their Facebook page for more peeks from their next release.)

2_Snowman_techniquetuesday

So that’s what I have. I’ll be back later.

(PS. I was nominated by my friends Mendi and Jingle to share a little bit about me so you might be looking for that post. I’m a little behind. Not to disappoint. I’ll share in a few days.)

Today’s card

Hi all!

Just a little something for the fun of making something today. 🙂

I wanted to play along with the Clicking Cameras Challenge over on Moxie Fab World…. because… you know…. it was my bright idea and all! (Wink!) Didn’t seem all fair and stuff to issue a challenge and not play, you know.

So here’s what I made.

(Be gentle, all. Be gentle.)

mfw_smilecamerachallenge_teri

I pulled out the Summer Bliss collection from Echo Park Paper and went to town. (<—- Because… I’m a fan.) Pretty much everything I used is from the collection (other than the cardstock and the enamel dots).

The chipboard camera had a word on it that didn’t really work well on a card (“snapshot”) so I decided to change things up a bit by plastering it with some letter stickers to spell out the “smile” word. I also tossed on a couple enamel dots.

mfw_smilecamerachallenge2_teri

By the way, I didn’t want the circles of patterned paper to fade too much into my design so I cut some white cardstock circles to place under them. They are just slightly off-set.

So that’s what I have today. I’ll be back again a little later.

And if you haven’t joined the Clicking Cameras Challenge yet, there’s lots of time to play. The challenge doesn’t end until 8/17.

See you again soon.

Today’s card

Hi all!

I’m a little late in getting in on last week’s Weekly Card Sketch from My Favorite Things (MFTWCS184 ), but I had a little time before bed last night and was  in the mood to play.  So here what I made. 🙂

mftsketch_mftwsc184_hello1_teri

There was mostly just die-cutting involved here:

* I cut the flag with the Pierced Fishtail Flags STAX Die-namics.

* I cut the “hello” saying with the Happy Hellos Die-namics.

* And the circle and star were cut with a couple dies from the Blueprints 16 Die-namics.

mftsketch_mftwsc184_hello2_teri

I did squeeze in a little bit of stamping  by stamping the background with MFT’s Romantic Script stamp. Always love that tone on tone look so I used really, really dark pink ink to stamp it on the pink cardstock.

Speaking of challenges, I think I am going to enter this guy in the Moxie Fab World Wonderful Words challenge, too. It’s all about word dies, and since I used one, I think I will link it up. 🙂

Well, I think that is all I have for now. Be back later, friends! Thanks for stopping by.

Today’s card (3-27)

Hi all!

Say hello to today’s card.

mfw_stencils_fabulousat_teriI actually made this one a couple days ago and hadn’t posted it here yet.

It was inspired by the Styling with Stencils challenge over on Moxie Fab World. Because, you know, it seems kinda wrong to issue a challenge and not play. I can’t do it. Can’t. 😉

I used a stencil from The Crafter’s Workshop, a pen and a desire to scribble (and scribble and scribble and scribble) to make the “@” panel. It was fun! And totally mess free, which was also fun! :

mfw_stencils_fabulousat2_teriIn addition to the stencil I also used some stuff from Heidi Swapp (word, heart + paper), some star stickers (from Freckled Fawn), a couple sparkly numbers from American Crafts, scalloped washi tape from Hazel & Ruby and a tab punch from Fiskars. A fun mix of stuff to use together.

See you again soon!

A Card + Other Stuff (3-24)

Hi all!

I’ve got a really random post today for you so here goes.

First, here’s a little card for the day.

MFW_YouAre_teri

Created this bad boy with scalloped Washi tape from Hazel & Ruby (which.. hey… just “might” be featured over on Moxie Fab World today), a tab from a really old Studio Calico kit and dies & stamps from Papertrey Ink. Oh yeah, there are a few enamel dots on there as well.

Second, I’m over on the blog for Simple Stories today, sharing some new Life Documented pages over there.

Here’s a peek.

Teri_3_314Cheeseball picture, but I digress. 😉

You can see more over there.

And I had some more guest blogger projects run over on the blog for Taylored Expressions.

Here’s a look at one from Day 3.

3_thankyou_teri

You can see it and the other two cards that ran on Day 3 here.

Also, my Day 2 projects can be found here.

A big thanks again to Taylor and Regina for inviting me to get crafty! It was a ton of fun… and a real honor.

Ok. Be back later. Maybe next time my post won’t be so random. Then again, maybe not. 😉

Today’s card (3-4)

Hello. Hello again! 🙂

This is today’s card.

blog_hex_hellothere1_teri

Ta-da!

The reason behind it? Well, I decided to make hexagons-inspired card for the Happy for Hexagons challenge over on Moxie Fab World. Just a few days left to get in on the challenge.

The hexagons I used are chipboard stickers from Pink Paislee that I snagged a few packages of for a scrapbooking project a long, long, long time ago. Confession time: I finished the project, but a pack of the chipboard stickers remained in my stash. (Someone might have issues. Hello, they are cute! Yeah, I know. “Teri, let the stickers go.”)

blog_hex_hellothere2_teri

The papers I used here are from Project Life and Echo Park Paper. The “hello there” banner is a cut file by Simple Stories, which you can find in the Silhouette online store.

So that’s what I have. I’ll be back later, gators.

PS. Who won the small Technique Tuesday stamp surprise from this post?  That would be Wendy Orme. Congrats, Wendy. I’ve sent you an email about your prize.

Today’s card (2-12)

Hi everyone!

Here is today’s card.

blog_hex_urspecial_teri

Kicking off a new ‘Happy for Hexagons” challenge over on Moxie Fab World and wanted to play along.

All the hexagons here were created with a stencil from Heidi Swapp. I just kinda moved the stencil around the card, coloring some randomly in with some of the Paper Crafter Crayons from Faber-Castell. And then I used a black pen to trace a few, too.

blog_hex_urspecial2_teri

The words are a couple stamps from Laina Lamb’s To the Point stamp set for My Favorite Things. Fun stuff!

Welp! That’s what I have got. Be back later, gators! Thanks for swinging by!

Today’s card (1-27)

Hi all!

What’s shaking? Playing along with the Trendy Power Star challenge over on Moxie Fab World. Seemed kinda wrong to not play. 😉 Blog_MFW_KeepLookingUp_teri

It definitely was a challenge, alright! 😉

So I played a little on the artsy side here, but not too much. I used a paintbrush to brush some spray mist onto my card to make the blue background.

After the color dried, I adhered some star shaped sequins to it and drew the white lines. Let’s just pretend for a minute like we are looking at something cool in the sky, k?  My creative process went from making a shape you really would see to just getting those little sequins down. (<——– Yep. Things went downhill quick.)

I created the sentiment with a combination of letter stamps and glittery foam Thickers. I think got super lucky, having stickers that actually match the blue color I used on the card. Yep. I think that’s a win!

So that’s all I have be.

Back later, gators.

Today’s Card (1-10)

So we meet again! 😉

Back with another card inspired by the challenges Cath is sharing from 75 Creative Card Challenges on Moxie Fab World this week.

PC21212

Today’s challenge is to make your own stamp.

1_blog_stamp1_teri

I turned to my craft stash for this one and whipped out a butterfly die. I flipped it over, inked up the backside and stamped it onto the pink paper here.

1_blog_stamp2_teri

It’s a little hard to see, but you get the idea.

1_blog_stamp3_teri

The words are from Technique Tuesday’s Bring on the Sun by Ali Edwards set. The die I used is a butterfly one from Papertrey Ink. Both rank high on my “I use these often” list!

Be back again in a bit.

Today’s Card (1-9)

Hi all!

Another day. Another take on one of the challenges on Moxie Fab World in honor of 75 Creative Card Challenges.

PC21212

Today’s challenge is to make a card with a window!

So ( …. dummm… dummmm…. dummmmmmmmmm…….) meet today’s card!

1_Blog_AwesomeFrame_teri

I went all liberal with the window here, using a label die (a new one from Paper Smooches) to make a window of sorts. Behind it is a glassine bag of confetti and sequins.

I was shooting for something festive here so I piled on some more sequins, an awesome sticker (from Simple Stories’ Sn@p! collection), a button, a star and a few odds and ends.

1_Blog_AwesomeFrameClose_te

This really was a fun little, hodge-podge of a card to do!

That’s all I have got for you. Be back tomorrow to tackle Thursday’s challenge!

Thanks for stopping by!

PS… Guess what? I’m over on Paper Crafts Connection today, too!  Yep, I’m professing my love (yet) again for this issue. Yeah, I know. Roll your eyes, if you must. 😉 Get it out of your system.

Head over there, and you’ll see a couple projects like so.

cardchallengespeek_teri

Only you will get to see the whole thing… and that would be cool, you know.

And leave a comment on my post over there and you could be the winner of a really awesome shopping spree from bossyJoscie!
