Are you a planner? I shared an easy tutorial the other day on the Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L blog, showing how to make a dry erase shopping list!
These lists are great because you can tuck them in your planner to jot down all the things you need. Then you can pull the list out and tuck it your purse when it comes time to go grocery shopping (or really any kind of shopping).
Are you a goal setter? Have you started thinking about goals you want to accomplish in 2020?
I’d like to invite you to stop on by the Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L blog for a quick tutorial on making a book to document those goals in. Here’s a little peek at the book.
This little book is the perfect way to remind yourself all year long of your goals and dreams… and to help keep your eyes on the prize.
(Looking for my Paper Smooches Blog Hop post? It’s the post right below this one!)
Are you a planner? Just getting into planning? I’ve got a tutorial for you.
Stop by the Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L blog for a quick tutorial on making your own page markers for your planner, as well as Washi tape storage cards.
These page makers (and storage cards) are a fun way to add a pop of color (and your personality) to your planner. Plus it is a great way to use up some of the patterned papers and stickers that might (emphasis on might) be in your stash of crafting supplies.
Back again. Today’s project isn’t a card. I know… shocking. (Wink, wink!)
Today’s project is a little something planner. A little something string art. I present to you, today’s project!
I made this little sign with a couple of my planner friends in mind.
It was pretty easy to make. I created a little heart piercing pattern and temporarily adhered it to a wood panel. (You can pretty much use any wood panel for string art! As long as it can take nails, it’s good. In fact, my next string art project is going to use some reclaimed weathered fence boards. I’m so excited!)
Anyhoo, I just whacked small nails through the pattern with my $1 store hammer. True story.
And then to do the “plan” word, I used some old scrapbooking letter stickers as a template on where to add nails. I certainly could have sketched out the letters on my board, but, having a pile of unloved letter stickers, certainly has its benefits. 😉
Once I added the nails for the letters, I removed the letter stickers and tore off the heart template. And then I went to town, adding string around the nails over and over… over again.
I finished my project off by stamping a few additional words, “all the things.”
Keep in mind, I made this with a couple planner friends in mind. They are super duper active planners and totally could appreciate the “plan all the things” phrase.
I think it turned out pretty fun, and I can’t wait to make another one! See you again soon, friends.
The planner set is all about… beauty…. and treating yourself. It’s perfect for planning those pampering days we all need (and those girls only days)!
This sentiment here is from the Sassy Girl Thoughts stamp set. I think it’s one of those sets that is perfect to use on cards and scrapbook pages, but it’s also got a place in a planner too. This phrase? Well, you know. Wink!

Alrighty! Enough hop talk. Let me show you what I have got!
Planner pages! Yes, I know. No cards today. Planner pages. I’m a planner girl. I sure appreciate some good planner stamps, and Paper Smooches has three awesome sets that are super duper great for planners in their September release.
All the stamping here was completed with these sets: Daily Diary (the words) and Dinky Doodles 1 and Dinky Doodles 2 (the super cute teeny tiny images).
The planner I used for here is the mini Happy Planner. I dig it because (1) it’s small, (2) the pages come out so it makes for easy stamping and (3) it fits in a small bag.
I simply just had fun with these pages, stamping out my plans and then adding some color with markers and some words with a good old black pen.
The thing I love about planning is this: It’s creativity with a purpose. Stamping and playing… with the end goal of being organized. It’s fun. Plus, it makes the idea of paying bills fun… even though we all know it really isn’t. Wink! 😉
Alright! That’s all I have for you today. Thanks for stopping by!
Sharing something other than a card today. Thought I’d share a couple of planner pages.
Let’s be honest, guys! Some weeks, I just don’t feel like decorating much and go totally clean. Other weeks, I go to town.
This week was a going to town kinda week. Just needed some creative time so I took some time to decorate my pages. I think one of the nice things about decorating your planner you can be creative with purpose and get yourself thinking about the week to come. Plus, you get to use that fun stuff you’ve been wanting to use! Love that.
Did the bulk of my decorating for these pages with stamps from Technique Tuesday. I also used some stickers (letters and cute stuff) and some papers from Simple Stories. The Simple Stories goods were definitely a fun way to add a pop of color or two… or three or four… wink!
I did add a couple pieces of paper for lists onto the spread and clipped them on so I could write on them as the week goes on and pull them out when I need them. I could have just used sticky notes but I was using what was at hand and in close reach of my workplace.
Alright! That’s what I’ve got.
You’ll find a list below of the stamp sets I used.
I’ve been having so much fun doing the planner thing lately. What a warm, friendly and inviting community the planner folks are. I am so inspired by the friendliness of everyone.
Put together this quick little video Sunday night on making your own custom patterned planner stickers for the fun of it. All you really need is a few stamps, labels and inks. It’s way easy.
Anyway, hope you enjoy the video.
By the way, you’ll find links to the stamp sets I used in the description field of the video on YouTube.
Just wanted to share wanted to share with you some Technique Tuesday news. Technique Tuesday just released some new stamp sets I designed with planners (and planner addicts, planner girls, planner fans… you know… the whole shebang) in mind.
These stamp sets are small so you can easily slip them in a bag with your planner. Plus, they are inexpensive, just $5.99.
Just so you can see them in action, here’s a quick (No FRILLS!!! I put a bad filter on it… sorry!… and did no fancy editing) video for you. Plus, you can hear how dorky I sound in real life. 😉 (Be afraid.)
By the way, I want to share a backstory about these stamp sets. About a year ago, I designed a planner stamp set for Technique Tuesday. Planner stuff was really emerging. (In fact, I even talked about the emerging Planner Trend on Moxie Fab World back in October.)
The stamp set didn’t end up getting produced, but it definitely served as the base for these stamp sets. It was kind of a bummer, but when I first stamped these stamps, I am so glad TT waited…. and I rethought and re-engineered that first set. I feel like these are so, so much more fun that the first stamp set I designed.
Anyway, I hope you like them too. I think if you aren’t a planner, these stamps might work for you too, especially if you are a scrapbooker or lister.
So I’ve got some blog candy, courtesy of Technique Tuesday! Leave a comment on this post by midnight PST on Wednesday, July 22nd. I’ll pick one of you to score a Planner – Essentials stamp set. I’ll announce the lucky winner on 25th.
Thanks for stopping by, guys! Hope to see you again soon.
