Just sharing a card I started last week and finished up this week, just in time for Easter.
The sweet girl + basket and the words are from Pretty Pink Posh, as are the sequins. Let’s be honest: I’m not the best color’er, but, good gosh, people, I try. I colored her in with markers and then added a few extra details with colored pencils and a white gel pen + some Glossy Accents and a Wink of Stella glitter pen (it’s subtle but there on the ears). I think she turned out alright.
The banner was cut with a die from Lawn Fawn (LOVE IT), and the patterned paper is from a stack of paper from My Favorite Things. Crazy thing. I colored the girl in first and went looking for patterned paper. I discovered that I am COMPLETELY lacking in purple patterned papers so I was totally lucky to find this piece in my MFT stash. I guess I could have went to the craft store (Oh, the horror! Hee!) to find something else, but I decided I could make do. Yep. Make do. (Translation: Not allowing myself to be tempted at the craft store by all the other stuff at the craft store seemed like a good idea at the time… because… seriously… who goes for one piece of paper and leaves with just one piece of paper? Not I, people. Not I. Anyhoo, I digress.)
Alright, friends. This is what I have for the day!
Thanks, as always, for stopping by. Always a treat when you do.
Got a little card to share with you today. 🙂
Made this one last week when I just needed a little bit of recharge/refuel creative time. Never got around to sharing it so I am today.
(Insert dramatic effect.)
The little bird is from Julie Ebersole’s Twelve Days stamp set for Ellen Hutson. There’s a little number included on the stamp that I just masked off with tape before inking the stamp and stamping.
Nobody die of shock or anything, but I used MARKERS (… yes, the marker challenged girl…) to color the cutie in. I have been messing with markers more than usual lately. It remains a sweet surprise when things turn out. 😉
The words are from Julie’s Hello Gorgeous set, also from Ellen Hutson.
And the circles and backgrounds? Cut those with a couple dies from My Favorite Things – Wonky Stitched Circles STAX and Snow Drifts Cover-Up. And the sequins? A mix from Pretty Pink Posh, of course.
Alright. That’s what I have for you. Good to see you all again. I’ll be back again later, gators. Take care.
I’m back with a quick card to share with you. I was inspired by the Clean + Simple Christmas Challenge this last week on the Simon Says Stamp! Challenge Blog to make this little card just for the fun of it.
I used mostly older products from Simon Says Stamp! (Christmas Trees and Holiday Frames dies & Handwritten Sentiments and Holiday Layered Trees stamp sets). Plus, I used some paper from the old DIY Christmas collection from Simple Stories + some pretty sequins from Pretty Pink Posh.
It’s a pretty straight forward card. Die-cut a frame. Add a tree + cardstock. Pop on a star. Do a little stamping. Be liberal with sequins. Add patterned paper. You get the idea. 😉 Just felt good to have a little fun.
Alright! Over and out. I’ll be back later, gators.
