One Sealiously Fun Card

Hi, friends!

Got another stamped card to share with you.

Meet today’s card. It was … sealiously… fun to make. You to know that was coming, right?

SealiouslyCard-teri

Yeah. I know. Corny but fun.

I created fun little card with the Sealiously stamp set from Reverse Confetti. It’s a super cute set with a couple seals and some fun scene building elements (ice, cloud, water drops, waves), plus sentiments. The sentiments, especially, are great because you can make cards for a lot of different occasions with them.

One of the things that drew me to wanting to use these stamps is the seals are so open. They looked to me like they’d be lots of fun to color, plus I would not be complaining about not having a lot of space (as I sometimes do with stamped images). 😉

I colored the seals and ice chunks in with markers. I also added a little bit of gray to the clouds. Look close and you’ll see it’s just a teeny tiny amount. I just wanted to give them a little highlight so they keep with the handmade feel of my card.

For the background, I sponged some light blue ink onto the card and then stamped the waves onto it. My ink pad was pretty dark so I inked up the wave stamp, stamped it on scratch paper and then stamped it onto the card so the ink would look lighter. I repeated that process several times.

I once again dug out my Glossy Accents for this card and added a few drops to the scene. Did it need it? No. But do I like the end result? You betcha! And since I was on an embellishing kick, I added a little glitter to the noses of the seals. It’s subtle, really.

Well, that’s all I have for you. I’ll be back again later. Thanks, as always, for stopping by, friends.

Birthday Card Challenge

Hi guys!

It’s Birthday Card Challenge time again. Got another birthday card to share that was made in response to this challenge with my buddy, Ashley.

On your mark. Get set. Here we go.

A handmade card by Teri // terisplace.wordpress.com

Ta-da! Cha-Cha! Wa-Wa! Made this little guy with the help of a couple Reverse Confetti products: Toucan Friendship stamp set; Toucan Friendship dies and All Framed Up die.

All the framed elements on here were cut with the All Framed Up die. I created that background by cutting them with white cardstock. And then I used the die to cut the little kraft frame too. A handmade card by Teri // terisplace.wordpress.com

Added a little color to the card with markers and ink. Just sponged a little blue ink on a white piece of cardstock I stamped the sentiment on. I used my markers to color in the bird. My coloring is not perfect but I am A-OK with that. I mean, seriously, what card maker is perfect all the time. Haven’t met one yet. 😉

Alright! That’s what I have for you today. Be sure to hit Ashley’s blog to see her take on the challenge this week.

Reverse Confetti Sketch for You To Try

Hi guys!

Here today with another card created with stamps and dies from Reverse Confetti. They just revealed August’s Sketch For You To Try, and this card is based on that sketch.

Ta-da!

And here’s the sketch too. 🙂

I created the little box by cutting a frame with the All Framed Up dies. And the little wormy scene? Made that with the Worm Wishes stamp set and coordinating dies.

rc_wormwishesday2_teri

I made the worm a bit longer by stamping and die-cutting him twice. I chopped his head off one of them (brutal, I know… wink!) and the pieced end pieces together. I also gave him wiggle eyes… because I couldn’t resist. 🙂 Wiggle eyes make everything more fun… in my card making opinion

I wanted the apples to have a little boom boom so I slapped on a couple gems. Easy peasy. Also, you’ll notice my stamping is not perfect on that back apple. That’s the beauty of these stamps. They are totally forgiveable for not perfect stamping. Hooray!

Alright! So that’s what I have. Be sure to hit the Reverse Confetti blog to see some fabulous takes on the sketch by the Reverse Confetti crew. They rock’th.

Thanks, as always, for stopping by, guys.

Reverse Confetti August Release Blog Hop

Hi guys!

Happy to be hopping today with the good folks from Reverse Confetti to celebrate the August release. So tickled to be a ‘Fetti Friend this month with Veronica. 🙂

So I’ve got a little card to share with you that I made with some of the new goods. On your mark. Get set. Ok. Here we go. 😉

Alright. So I wanted I to make a fun little scene so I whipped out the super cute new Toucan of Friendship and coordinating dies.

Seriously, what a cute a stamp set. Confession time: I color with markers but I am sooooo not a marker superstar! True story. 😉 Love these images because they are just so forgiving to a “OK” marker user like myself. Forgiving is good. Not to mention these stamps are just so cute!

To frame the scene, I used some frames cut with the All Framed Up die. This die is so useful. So many frames in one die. You can use one or a whole bunch at the same time. And those stitched finishes on top? Oh, my heart.

Reverse Confetti Sneak Peek #3

Hi guys!

Back again with another sneak peek at the next release from Reverse Confetti! So tickled to be a ‘Fetti Friend this month.

A handmade card for Reverse Confetti by Teri // terisplace.wordpress.com

Had lots of fun today, playing with the new Worm Wishes stamp set and coordinating dies.

Man, I tell you. It’s just the cutest stamp set. The little worm slays me! I stamped him and then stamped pattern onto his backside. And then I threw caution to the wind (ha ha) and whipped out my trusty green marker to add a little more color. I think it just kinda made him pop… just a little more.

Fun, right?

I also cut a second worm base and set it right under the green worm. I think it just added a little something to the card.

Once again, I whipped out the All Framed Up dies to add a little frame to this card too.

13886262_10210447304289485_2692537602964308733_n

Reverse Confetti Sneak Peek #2

Hi guys!

Excited to be sharing another peek at the next release from Reverse Confetti today!

Please give it up for today’s peek!

Cherry Sweet by Teri for Reverse Confetti // terisplace.wordpress.com

And the crowd goes wild. 😉

This was a fun one to work on! The little jar was created with the new In a Jam stamp set and coordinating Jam Jar dies.

I feel like I haven’t quite scratched the surface with the dies. So many possibilities. Use ’em plain. Use ’em with patterned paper. Die-cut and stamp on them. Do all kinds of things. So many, many possibilities!

I created the little label with the In a Jam stamp set. I just stamped the label with black ink and then I used my markers to add the pops of color. Originally, I had planned to do just a plain old red label. But I got to thinking how fun it would be to use markers and this what I came up with.

RC_CherrySweetClose_teri

It kinda reminds me of a label you’d see on an old vintage canning jar.  🙂

Also, I did a little framing again with the new All Framed Up dies. Just. So. Practical.

Reverse Confetti Sneak Peek #1

Hi everyone!

Sure am tickled this month to be playing with the crew over at Reverse Confetti as one of their Fetti Friends (with my pal Veronica… yay!)

And I’m joining in on the August release sneak peek fun today. I’ll be doing that for next few days so hold onto your hats, friends. 😉

Handmade card by Teri for Reverse Confetti // terisplace.wordpress.com

Created this little guy with the new Just Brew It stamp set and coordinating die. (Psst. They arrive at Reverse Confetti on the 8th.)

Also used the new All Framed Up die to make the frame around the exterior of the card.

Handmade card by Teri for Reverse Confetti // terisplace.wordpress.com

The frames makes such a nice border! The cool thing with the frames is you are able to cut a whole bunch a one time and tinker with things. Use one or use them all!

13886262_10210447304289485_2692537602964308733_n.jpg

Back to the card. I just wanted to do something kinda different with the coffee cup. I stamped it in black on white cardstock and then colored it in with good old markers. I always enjoy a good rainbow … so I went with a rainbow color scheme.

I wanted the cup to pop so I anchored it with my trusty friend, Mr. Big Honkin’ Roll of Foam Tape. He never lets me down. 😉
