October Studio AE Blog Hop from Technique Tuesday

Hi everyone!

It’s Studio AE Blog Hop time once again! Hooray!

This month, we are using the new Hello December by Ali Edwards stamp set.

Technique-Tuesday-Hello-December-SAE-Clear-Stamps-MediumI think this set is great for December Daily type projects and for Christmas cards. Technique Tuesday is not releasing a December Daily set this year, but they have released a number of Christmas themed sets from Ali over the last few months. With those sets and this one, I am feeling pretty covered in that department!

I decided for today’s hop to make something not Christmas or December-y with the set.I really wanted to try to stretch the limits of it so I made this little scrapbook page of a favorite picture I took while at the fair last month.

2_SAE_1013_IncredibleMemories_teriI used one of the set’s borders to stamp up the rainbow background on cardstock.

2_SAE_1013_incrediblememories2_teri

I stamped one phrase from the new Studio AE set (“Favorite Memories”) in the middle of one of the red borders.  Then I pulled out some stamps from other Technique Tuesday stamp sets and stamped words from them in the others. Those sets were: Incredible by Ali Edwards; Seriously Rad; In a Nutshell and Awesome.

I also poked holes in a couple of the borders and tied solid twine through them.

I finished off the page with a little journaling, completed on my trusty typewriter.

2_SAE_1013_incrediblememories3_teri I do a lot of journaling by hand and on my computer, but it’s nice to mix things up once in awhile with the typewriter.

So that’s all I have for today.

Be sure to check out the blogs of everyone hopping today.

As always, be sure to comment as you go. We are going to give away one $25 gift certificate after the hop. To be eligible to win, all you need to do is comment during the hop!  The lucky winner will be announced on the 15th on the Technique Tuesday blog.

Happy hopping, and thanks for stopping by today!

September Studio AE Blog Hop from Technique Tuesday

(Hi there! Looking for my post for Kelly Marie’s Surprise Birthday Blog Hop?! It’s the post right below this one. Either scroll down or just click here.)

Hi all!

It’s 10th, which means it is Studio AE Blog Hop time! Can I just say I love this day. I really do. 🙂

We are using the newest Studio AE stamp set, which is this is guy right here: Daily Photo by Ali Edwards. (By the way, the TT warehouse crew will begin shipping the set to Studio AE members today! The crew is kinda the unsaid heroes of TT. Getting all those sets out each month is a big job, and they do a great job each month, making it happen! )

Technique-Tuesday-Daily-Photo-SAE-Ali Edwards-Clear-Stamps-LargeSo I used the set to make a scrapbook page!

2_sae_913_TheColorRun_teri_edited-1I just completed my fifth 5K over the last couple months, and I thought it would be a fun set to use to document the experience.

(By the way, I don’t usually wear feathers or hold a wand when I take part in a 5K, but part of the fun of The Color Run is just being goofy and having fun. When it comes to 5ks, it’s a real relaxed setting with an emphasis on having fun.)

So I used the stamp set with TT’s Circles steel dies, to make the circles on the photos! I just cut off a little of each circle with my scissors.

2_sae_913_thecolorrun2_teri_edited-12_sae_913_thecolorrun3_teri

If you don’t have the dies, a 1 3/4″ circle punch would work well with the stamps, too. If you use a punch that’s a little bigger, the rim will appear just a little bigger!  🙂

Be sure to check out the blogs of everyone taking part in this month’s hop. We are celebrating the third anniversary of Studio AE so it’s the biggest blog hop ever.

By the way, we’re giving away some prizes for this hop!

Since we are celebrating the third anniversary of Studio AE this month, we are going to give away three $25 gift certificates. To be eligible to win, all you need to do is comment during the hop!  The three lucky winners will be announced on the 15th on the Technique Tuesday blog.

Thanks for stopping by! Happy hopping, y’all!

August Studio AE Blog Hop from Technique Tuesday

Hi all!

Woohoo! Time for another Studio AE Blog Hop from Technique Tuesday!

We are sharing projects this month with the newest Studio AE set, called Leaving on a Jet Plane by Ali Edwards.

Technique-Tuesday-Leaving-On-A-Jetplane-Clear-Stamps-MediumI decided to make a scrapbook page with it! I love the adventure of traveling so it was really perfect for it.

2_YouAreHere_teri_edited-1All the words on the cork panel (which is just a piece of patterned paper and not real cork) were stamped with the set.

2_YouAreHere1_teri_edited-1

I also  pulled out my Travel With Flair by Ali stamp set and stamped it out a few times on cardstock. I then took a 1″ circle punch to them out. (By the way, if you are new to Technique Tuesday, you might not know that they standardized their circle stamps with their Winter release so when you see them release a “Flair” set — whether it be designed by Ali or me, Bev or Lori – it’s sized to work with a 1″ circle punch.)

2_YouAreHere2_teri_edited-1

So that’s all I have. 🙂

Be sure to check out the blogs of everyone taking part in today’s hop:

And don’t forget to comment as you go. Technique Tuesday will randomly pick someone who leaves a comment (chosen from comments left on all the blogs) to win a $25 gift certificate! The winner will be announced on the Technique Tuesday blog on the 15th.

July Studio AE Blog Hop from Technique Tuesday (7-10)

Hi all!

It’s Studio AE Blog Hop time again, and I’m happy to share a few projects made with the newest set from Ali Edwards and Technique Tuesday.

Just in case you haven’t seen Label Maker by Ali Edwards yet, here’s a peek.

  • Technique-Tuesday-Label-Maker-Ali-Edwards-Clear-Stamps-Medium

Such a fun set.  It totally reminds me of my old trusty label maker, but in stamp form.

I was inspired to use to whip together a couple cards to share today!

So meet  #1.

2_July_GraphicJoy1_teri_edited-1I love the office feel of the set, but wanted to do something slightly on the graphic side with it so that’s what I went with here.

Pretty much everything was stamped here, other than the lines. I just used a good old black pen to add them.

2_July_GraphicJoy2_teri_edited-1And meet #2.

2_July_DadLabels1_teri_edited-1For this one, I used just one label stamp from the set. But to mix it up a bit (and make things a bit more visually interesting), I stamped it on three different patterned papers.

The other words on this one? Well, they are from a couple other Technique Tuesday stamp sets: Loving Words by Ali Edwards and Dad Rocks by Ali Edwards.

2_July_DadLabels2_teri_edited-1Kinda fun to just mix a bunch of stamps together to make one really big message.

So that’s all I have for you.

Be sure to check out the blogs of everyone hopping today:

By the way, we’re giving away a prize.

A $25 gift certificate will go to someone (a lucky someone) who comments during the course of the hop. The winner will be announced on the 15th on the Technique Tuesday blog.

Happy hopping, and thanks again for swinging by today!

Today’s card (7-1)

Hello, friends!

Say hello to today’s card.

2_July_Labels1a_teri_edited-1Made this one with a couple Technique Tuesday stamp sets: My Bright Idea set and Ali’s new Label Maker by Ali Edwards (the Studio AE set for July).

The Studio AE set goes on sale today and you’ll find it here later this morning. But here’s a peek at how it looks.

Technique-Tuesday-Label-Maker-Ali-Edwards-Clear-Stamps-MediumPretty fun set!

2_July_Labels1b_teri_edited-1

I thought it’d just be fun to mix it with the words from Bright Idea! Sure, “Watt’s up?” isn’t spelled in the “what’s up” way, but that’s OK!  It’s from a set with lamps and light bulbs! 😉  So to tie it all together on my card, I just stamped the light bulb from the Bright Idea set  (and  one of Ali’s labels) inside the card!  Easy peasy.

That’s all I have! Be later, gators!

PS… Happy Canada Day to my friends up north!

June Studio AE Blog Hop from Technique Tuesday

Hi all!

It’s Studio AE Blog Hop time again. Hooray!

I’m joining the team in sharing today something made with the new Fun in the Sun by Ali Edwards set, the Studio AE stamp set for June!

Here’s a peek at the set, in case you haven’t seen it.

Technique-Tuesday-SAE-Fun-In-The-Sun-Clear-Stamps-LargeI used the set to make a little pocket-style scrapbook page to document a color run/walk I recently took part in with a couple good friendst!  Each of us (definitely not the vision of health perfection) paid for it for a few days afterwards, but the event was sure a fun way to kick off Summer! 😉 (Ok, and It was really cool to say we did it! )

3_SAE_613_Teripage1_edited-1

I created each of the banners on my page with the Fun in the Sun set by stamping them on cardstock and cutting them out. So they would fit across the little cards, I only used part of the banners on them. I sure like the different look it gives them by just using a portion of the banner, rather than the whole thing.

3_SAE_613_teripage2_edited-1

I also used a couple other stamp sets on the page: Ali’s Bring on the Sun and Awesome and Fill in the Blank. (In full disclosure, I designed both the Awesome and Fill in the Blank stamp sets. Awesome came out last Summer, while Fill in the Blank debuted at the CHA-Winter show. )

3_sae_613_teripage4_edited-1

Thanks for taking a peek!

Be sure to check out the projects from everyone taking part in today’s hop!

Be sure to leave a few comments as you hop! Technique Tuesday will be giving away a $25 gift certificate to someone who comments during the hop. The winner will be selected from all the comments received and announced on the TT blog sometime on the 15th.

Be back again soon!

May Studio AE Blog Hop from Technique Tuesday

Yep! It’s a good day for another Studio AE Blog Hop from Technique Tuesday!

The crew is playing around this month with Heartfelt by Ali Edwards, the Studio AE stamp set for May.

Technique-Tuesday-Heartfelt-Ali-Edwards-Clear-Stamps-MediumI decided to go the card route this month. Ali’s stamps are so graphic that I really wanted to challenge myself this month and try to go with a more homespun, shabby look.

2_SAE_513_LoveYouGrid_teri

I took the same “heart” you stamp and stamped it over and over on different pieces of paper. Then I cut, cut and cut some more.

I also over-stamped on some of the pieces of paper some words from her All My Love set on top. (Check out those cream hearts. You can see it there.)

2_SAE_513_LoveYouGridclose_Teri

I also added a few homespun touches: some stitches; some gems and a bit of twine. Again, just to kinda play on the shabby, homespun side.

Pretty fun!

Be sure to check out everyone taking part in the hop today:

(Please beware that our team is in different time zones, so someone might not have their links up yet today. Sometimes, it gets a little confusing with the timing.)

We’ll give away a prize to one person who comments during the hop!

Someone will get a $25 gift certificate. The winner will be announced on the 15th on the Technique Tuesday blog.

Thanks for stopping by today!

April Studio AE from Technique Tuesday Blog Hop

2_sae_apr13_awesomeclose_teri

Hi all!

April 10th means it is time for another Studio AE Blog hop for Technique Tuesday.

This month we are using the new Favorite Circles by Ali Edwards stamp set.

Technique-Tuesday-Favorite-Circles-Ali-Edwards-Clear-Stamps-Medium

I really love this set for scrapbook pages, but I decided to challenge myself for this hop and make a card with it instead!

Playing on the old “awesome” theme here.

2_sae_apr13_awesome_teriI stamped the circles four times, stamping on three of them a star from the set . I used the “you are” words from Ali’s Incredible set (I always giggle when I call it by its name. I think it really is incredible.) to stamp “you are” on the fourth circle.

Oh yeah, and I cut each of the circles out with a 1 3/4″ circle punch.

The gems were originally silver. I just used an orange Copic marker to give them a little tint of color.

Be sure to check the blogs of all taking part in the Blog Hop today:

Be sure to comment as you go! Technique Tuesday will select one person from all the comments made during the hop to win a $25 gift certificate to TechniqueTuesday.com. The winner will be announced on the 15th on the Technique Tuesday blog.

Technique Tuesday: April Studio AE (4-2)

Image

Hello all!

Just a simple card today.

Made this one mostly with the Favorite Circles by Ali Edwards stamp set, the new Studio AE set for April from Technique Tuesday. The little flowers are from that set.

The words are from the Happyville – Sunshine set.

To make the circles, I just kind of went to town and had fun, punching a bunch of 1″ circles and then stamping on top of them. To make them a little different, I added a clear epoxy dot on some of them, pearls on others and a button on another.

ImageJust a fun way to make them all seem a little different.

Anyhoo, that”s all I have for you today.

If you are looking for more “in action” peeks of the new Studio AE set, check out the blogs of:

They’ve all shared projects with the new set, too! Pretty spiffy projects, too!

Be back again later, gators. Hope you are having a good day!

Today’s project (3-16)

Blog_FamilyIs1_teri

Hi all! Dabbling on the “dark side” again, working on a scrapbook page. 😉

Made this for a scrapbook challenge I take part in every month at a local craft store. They challenge scrappers to make a layout – with a theme they picked and a few supplies of their choice. (This month’s theme was nostalgia, and they picked the kraft cardstock half a sheet of My Mind’s Eye patterned paper and a bottle cap.)

We are to add whatever we want and put our twist on things. I always enjoy a good challenge, so yeah, this page is what I came up with this time.

I added a few things: some paper and dies from Crate Paper’s DIY Shop line (big. time. L.O.V.E.), pearls and some of Ali’s Technique Tuesday stamps (All My Love by Ali Edwards and Family Is by Ali Edwards, a no-longer made/hard to find Studio AE set.) and a few other trinkets.

Blog_familyis2_teri

That’s all I have for now. so I will be back again later. Thanks for swinging by today.
