Back again… yet again… with another stamped card to share with you.
Just a quick post today. So meet today’s card.
I had used the Critter Campout Stamps from Sunny Studio Stamps recently for another card. I had stamped a few too many critters for that card and had the extras still sitting on my desk. Throwing them out? Yeah. Could have. But figured it would be more fun putting them on card… and so I did.
It’s a little hard to tell but I embellished the little guys by selectively adding some dots with Nuvo Crystal Drops and a white gel pen. It’s a subtle thing to do, but I think it really helps make images pop more off cards and stuff. Plus it doesn’t add a lot of bulk so, hello, affordable sending in the mail. 😉
Alright. That’s it for me for now. Told you this would be a quick post. I’ll be back later, friends. Thanks for stopping by.
Me again! Another day. Another card.
Today’s card is the result of me being in a Summertime kinda mood. 🙂
Thinking about my list of things to do over the next few weeks (eek!), a break sounds really cool. Camping under the stars, in fact, sounds kinda dreamy right now.
I created the blue background by sponging some Distress Oxide ink onto cardstock and then spritzing it heavily with water. I used my heat gun to speed up the drying process. The I stamped a few stars onto it and added a little color to some of them with a white pen.
The bear, words, stars and tent are all from the Critter Campout stamp set from Sunny Sunny Studio Stamps. It, as in the stamp set, recently came to live with me so it needed a workout and all too. (Wink!)
To make the scene pop out a bit against the patterned paper, I whipped out my old friend, my bottle of white Nuvo Crystal Drops and added some dots around the largest circle. It’s subtle, but I think it works.
Alright. That’s it for now. Be back later, friends. Thanks for stopping by.
Happy Monday to you! I’m back with another stamped card to share with you…. just “fur” fun.
Get it? Hehe! Couldn’t resist.
I just couldn’t help myself with making another dog card… just for the fun of it. I used a couple dog-themed stamp sets from Sunny Studio Stamps, Party Pups and Devoted Doggies, for this one. These stamp sets are great because they are cool to use on their own, but they are also great to use together.
I colored the three dogs independently of each other. Just a happy coincidence that I used shades of gray for each one. I fussy cut them out. (Yep, I’m old school.) And then I adhered them on the card. I thought about being greedy and putting each on dog on his card, but they looked so cute together so I ran with it.
The sentiment isn’t really curved. I just bent the stamp as I placed it on my block. After I stamped it on my card, I stamped a paw print on each side. I thought it, well, just plain looked cute.
Anyhoo, that is what I have today. I’ll be back again later, gators. See you again soon. Thank you, as always, for stopping by!
Back with another stamped card to share with you. This is a fun one I put together with a few images I stamped a few months ago while crafting the weekend away with friends.
I have to be honest: This card made me laugh as it came together. I worked on it over a couple days and, eventually, told myself I just had to stop adding to the goofy little scene.
There is quite a bit of mixing and matching here. I used stamps from Heffy Doodle (the alligator, lion, champagne bottle), Mama Elephant (the words), Lawn Fawn (the stars) and Sunny Studio Stamps (the cupcake).
I wanted some of the elements on the card to stand out (the cupcake, bottle and the “OMG” bubble) so I used some Thin 3D Foam Squares from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L to adhere them to the card. The thin squares are perfect because they add just a little bit of pop but not too much.
This card might end up being used as a birthday card for a friend. Or I might just send to to an awesome friend, who will hopefully get a kick out of it. We’ll see. But it was fun to make.
Thanks for stopping by today. See you again.
Back again with another stamped card to share with you. Today’s card is a birthday one.
My grandma’s birthday is this weekend so I whipped up this guy for her. The dog and icons are from the Party Pups stamp set (and coordinating dies) from Sunny Studio Stamps.
Lean in close, friends. A little secret about this card. I had planned to use a different dog in the set for my card. The intended dog? A fluffy Pomeranian that reminds me of my Marley and whose name I always sign with cards to my grandma. However my coloring looked awful so I went with this little dog instead as I had colored at the same time and he looked pretty good. Good thing my grandma won’t mind that it’s not a Pom. 😉
To give the little dog a little extra personality, I added a party hat and cupcake. What dog doesn’t look great in a party hat? Well, that is all dogs that will actually allow themselves to wear party hats. 😉 (For the record, Marley typically knocks off any hats I put on it, but I continue to try. Wink!)
The papers are just an assortment of scraps from my box of scraps. The colors aren’t exactly all the same, but I think it’s OK sometimes to just give yourself permission to run with it and say, “I don’t need to be perfect today. My card does not need to be perfect today.” I mean, there are no card police officers out there, at least last time I checked there were not.
Alright, that’s what I got for you. I’ll be back again later, gators. Thanks, as always, for stopping by.
I’m up on the blog for Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L with a tutorial on how to make a card like this. Swing by their blog to get the scoop on how to do it.
It was so fun to make it!
And I loved figuring out a way to incorporate glitter on a card without getting too messy. I think you’ll enjoy it too.

Back again with another “just for fun” card to share today.
Meet today’s card.
I used some new stamps from the Fast Food Fun stamp set from Sunny Studio Stamps to make this card. The fries, burger, hot dog and words are from the set. It’s a quirky… and fun…. set. Love stamps make you giggle, and this set does that for me.
I just used my scissors to fussy cut the images for my card here. (Not every card has to be a masterpiece. Sometimes, I just want to play and simply enough the process and not focus on perfection.)
Colored the images in with markers and then added a little extra detail with some Nuvo Crystal Drops and a white gel pen.
I cut the hearts with a die from Paper Smooches. If you look really close, you’ll see I added a red Nuvo Crystal Drop dot to the middle of each one. Super subtle.
All the papers? They are random scraps from my stash, other than the white and gray one, which is from the cover of a pad of paper (a really, really old pad of paper) from Studio Calico.
Alright! That’s it for now. I’ll be back again later, gators. Thanks, as always, for bopping on by.
