Well, gosh. Sometimes it is a good thing to be a reader of my blog.

That’s because someone who commented on the Zva Creative blog hop post is lucky. Darn lucky. 😉

“Very clever to use the Copic marker!! Love the way it turned out, must remember that!!”

Congrats, Amie Lyn! You’ll receive a prize package of $30 in Zva Creative products!

Go-to Challenge #3 (6-30)

Hi all!

I’ve got two cards for you today, courtesy of Go-to Challenge #3.

If you are scratching your head and wondering what a Go-to Challenge is, let me tell ya. Once a month, the Go-to-Gals get together and pick together a company or product we want to play with. We challenge each other to have some fun playing and create a card or two.

This month, we decided to play with products from Fancy Pants Designs.

I came up with two cards.

Meet #1.

And meet #2.

I was in a summery mood so I used Fancy Pants’ Rusted Sun line for both. The string (as a lot of you know, I really dig the stuff) is from my stash. 😉

Check out the other Go-to-Gals’ blogs to see what they came up with.

Betsy

Jess

Kim H.

Kim K.

Maren

That is all for now. I’ll be back tomorrow.

Thanks for stopping by.

Skipping Stones Design Blog Hop (6-29)

Hi everyone!

Another day. Another blog hop.

Today, I’m joining up one last time with the great gals from Skipping Stones Design. Today, they are having a blog hop to celebrate the release of Skipping Stones Designs’ newest stamp sets “Fangs or Fur” and “Chocolate Vol. 2.” I luckily get to play along.

The gals say this is their “sweetest” release yet, whether you’re a Twilight fan or a chocolate lover, they have something for you!   If you just happened upon my blog today, you’ll want to go back to the beginning of the hop at Skipping Stones Design
Combined with the blog hop today, it’s also Skipping Stones Sketch Tuesday which means the Design Team is using the last of the sketches I’ve put together for them. And here it is.

The whole gang would love for you to play along with the sketch. Just remember to use the keywords SSD031 if you are uploading to any online galleries or link your card at the Skipping Stones Design blog. They’ll be looking soon for Guest Designers so you never know just what could happen. 😉

Ok, so enough chatter.

Here’s the card I made with the new Fangs or Fur stamp set.

And, oh, what is this I see? 😉  It’s another card I made based on the sketch.

This one uses the new Chocolate Vol. 2 set.  Hee hee, couldn’t resist making another card. That sentiment makes me giggle.

And, with that, I am going to send you off to the next stop on the hop.

That would be the blog of the talented, Erin Grotegut!

Take it away, Erin! 🙂

Thanks to all for stopping by. Be back tomorrow.

Zva Creative Blog Hop (6-28)

Hey all!

How was your weekend?  I hope good.

Today’s post is a bit a different than normal. That’s because I’m taking part in a blog hop with the Zva Creative design team.
As you may know, I am a proud design team member for Zva Creative. We are joining together today to share a project that we have created using some of our favorite Zva Creative products. I am hoping that you will take some time over the next few days to join us for a little bit of fun!

The Blog Hop begins at Kim Hughes’ blog. She will have the complete list of all blogs that are participating in case there is a glitch along the way.  If you would like to play along, I am linking to one of the Zva designers and that designer is linking to the next and so on. There are 19 design team members so you’ll see lots and lots of different projects.  Hidden on 5 of the blogs is a Zva Creative prize package …YAY!  Those blogs will be randomly chosen after the hop is over, so it’s important to leave a comment on as many blogs as you can along the way.

This Blog Hop runs through midnight US Eastern Standard Time on Tuesday, June 29th and the 5 winners will be announced on Wednesday, June 30th on each of the winning blogs and the full list will be found on Kim Hughes‘s blog (linked above). We will do our best to notify each winner, but it’s best if you can pop in to all of the blogs once again on Wednesday…plus, you never know what kind of inspirational creation that you may find there.  All you need to do is leave a comment on this Zva Blog Hop post…you do not need to leave a comment on each and every designer’s blog post to qualify. The more times you leave a comment along the blog hop path though, the more chances you will have to be one of the lucky winners.

Enough chatting about the hop, let me share my card. 🙂

Meet today’s card.

I used two of Zva’s pearl flourishes. The top one came white. I used a gray Copic and just kind of randomly brushed it over the pearls. I wasn’t going for a real uniform look so some of the pearls are still white and others are varying shades of gray.

Besides Zva’s flourishes, I used patterned papers from Fancy Pants and Pink Paislee to make this card. The letter stickers are from My Mind’s Eye.

Next stop on the hop is:

Julianne McKenna-De Lumen

Take it away, Julianne! 😉

Thank you for stopping by today and for taking part in our Blog Hop!

I’ll be back again tomorrow!

Today’s card (6-26)

Hi all!

Another day. Another card.

Meet today’s candidate. 😉

The hat and sentiment are diecuts from SEI. The striped paper is from SEI, too. SEI was the first company I can remember truly falling in love with in scrapbooking (or maybe obsessing over is a better phrase for it). It always takes me back when I use their papers. Anyone remember their color blocked papers? I think I swooned over each and every one of them and had most of them. Awww. Good, good times.

The ledger card is from Studio Calico, as well as the yellow strip. The button is from my stash.

I have company in town this weekend (woohoo) so I will see you all again soon.

Hope you are all are having a good one.

Today’s card (6-25)

Hello everyone!

Not much to say today so let’s just get on with the show.

Meet today’s card.

The papers here are from the Lullabye Lane and Life’s Portrait paper pad from Webster’s Pages. The celebrate is a stamp from Technique Tuesday’s Family Circle clear stamp set by Ali Edwards. The blue letters are from American Crafts. And the pearls are from the good folks at Zva Creative.

All in all, it was a fun batch of stuff to bring together to bring together for this card. 🙂

That’s all I have for you for now so I’ll be back later.

Thanks for stopping by.

Skipping Stones Design Sketch Challenge #4 (6-22)

Hi all!

It’s Tuesday, and that means it is time for another sketch challenge with the gang from the Skipping Stones Design.

I came up this week with this sketch for the Design Team to use.

And here’s the card I made based on it.

I used Skipping Stones Designs Bras Vol. 1 clear stamp set. It’s definitely another giggle worthy set with a lot of funny sentiments.

I used this one on the inside of the card.

I have a few friends who would really howl over the inside. It’s going to be rough deciding which one gets this card. 😉

Check out the Skipping Stones Design blog to see what the design team members came up with by using my sketch for inspiration. And, while you are at it, check out the peeks posted of the new Fur and Fangs set (if you like the Twilight series, this set might be up your alley), as well as a new chocolate-themed stamp set.

That is all for now. I’ll be back later.

Thanks for stopping by!

The winner is… (6-17)

Dum. Dum. Dummmmmmm.

The winner of the Technique Tuesday stamps I shared here the other day….

by random selection is…….

SUE W.!

Wooo wooo! 🙂

Sue said:

I don’t comment much (and I know I should!) but your cards always inspire me!

Congrats Sue! I’ll be in touch shortly to get your snail mail so I can send them your way.

Thanks so much to all who left comments. Let’s do it again sometime.  🙂

Be back in a bit.

Skipping Stones Design June Challenge #3 (6-15)

Hi everyone!

It’s Tuesday again. That means it is time for another sketch challenge at Skipping Stones Design.

Here’s the sketch I came up with for Heather’s team to play with this week.

And here’s what I did with it.

I used Skipping Stones Design’s Birthday Donuts set this time.

There’s no stack of donuts in the set. Just a few solo donuts. 😉 To create that stacked look, I used masking. If you have never masked before, I challenge you to give it a try. It’s a fun and easy way to use your stamps.

Here’s how I did it here:

1. I stamped the donut stamp once on my paper. Then, I stamped it a second time on scratch paper.

2. I cut out the donut stamped on scratch paper and set it on top of my original image.

3. I stamped the donut again, slightly overlapping the scratch paper donut.

4. I removed the scratch paper donut and begun the whole process again. This time though, I set the scratch paper donut on the freshly stamped donut.

I could have kept on going and made one really big donut stack, but I decided to stick with three. 🙂

And for a little extra fun, I stamped one of the set’s donut sentiments inside the card. Here’s which one I used.

Hee hee! 🙂

Go to the blog at Skipping Stones Design today and you’ll get a peek of what the gals on the Skipping Stones Design team came up with by using my sketch as inspiration.

Thanks again to Heather and the team for the invitation to play with them this month.

That’s all for now. I’ll be back again later.

Thank you for stopping by!
