Today’s card (7-31)

Hi all!

Meet today’s card.

Hope you aren’t tired of seeing blingy projects made with new stuff for CHA by Zva Creative.

This is another one made with one of the new releases.

The tree is one of two that come on one sheet of pearl embellies.

The papers here are from American Crafts. The letters are from Cosmo Cricket and Heidi Swapp.

That’s all for now. Be back later.

Thanks for stopping by.

GCD Studios theme: Kids B-Day Cards (7-30)

Hola!

I’m happy to be partying up today at the GCD Studios blog so I am doing it here today, too. 😉

Today, I’m bringing you two silly and goofy shaped birthday cards for kids.

Our theme this month was to party it up and make something birthday inspired. To kick things off, Heidi presented us with this collage of pictures.

She  also mentioned her little guys were having their birthdays this month so I thought, “Hey, kids birthday cards.  Hmmmmm. That would be fun.” Needless to say, I was off and creating.

The first card I came up with was this goofy cup of slush.

No cup of slush would be complete without a happy face, right? 😉

All the paper on this one is from GCD’s Smoothie Shoppe collection.

The second card I made was this birthday hat.

Again, I was going for goofy so I just had to add a happy face. Just. Had. To. 😉

I finished the card off by cutting a flower from patterned paper and then adding a brad to it. I thought they looked a bit festive together and were perfect for the top of the hat.

Well, that is all for now. I’ll be back soon!

Thanks for stopping by.

Today’s card (7-29)

Hi all!

Meet today’s card.

I broke free from my cleaner side and went a little more fancy, layered and shabby with this one.

I used patterned papers from Webster’s Pages and Pink Paislee. I used stamps from Technique Tuesday – words from the Studio AE July set , flower from Pocket Full of Posies and lace from Vintage Lace. The white lace, string and button are from my stash.

That is all for now. I’ll be back later.

Thanks for stopping by.

PS. I almost forgot. Check out Moxie Fab World today. I’m talking trends and sharing these cards. Here is a peek.

Go-to Challenge: American Crafts (7-28)

Hi all!

Well, it’s time again for another Go-to Challenge with the Go-to-Gals.

Today, we are using stuff from American “Love, love” Crafts.

We all love American Crafts so we decided to challenge each other to use their products today. And let’s be honest. Who doesn’t love American Crafts? Not many. What is there to not love about AC? Not much.

Secret confession: I always feel kind of hip when I use American Crafts stuff. Not that I am the vision of hipness because, believe me, I am not. Yes, I won’t be donning skinny jeans or neon clothes any time soon. The world says thank you, you know. But I always feel a bit hip when I do use the AC products. Just something about AC’s stuff.

Well, enough chatter.

Meet my take on the challenge.

Meet #1.

This one uses a whole lotta Dear Lizzy stuff.

And meet #2.

And this one just uses some random Thickers, a chipboard flower and a Flair button.

Be sure to check out the blogs of Maren, Jess, Kim K., Kim H. and Betsy to see what they came up with American Crafts’ products.

That is all for now.

Be back tomorrow.

Thanks for stopping by.

PS…. Winners have been selected for Saturday’ and Sunday’s posts. The winner of Sarah Hurley’s Woodland Whimsies CD is Karen Q. The winner of Sarah’s Woodland Whimsies 2 CD is Lynn. Congrats! Please send your contact info to Sarah at info@sarahhurley.com so Sarah can get your CDs sent to you.

Today’s card (7-27)

Hello, hello!

Meet today’s card.

This is another one I made with Zva Creative’s Summer CHA releases.

The vine is one of them. I layered vellum behind some of the leaves and let them just kind of dangle on the card.

The baby word is from Zva, too.

The stripes on the back are tape stickers from the Clothesline collection from Little Yellow Bicycle.

That is all for now. Be back later.

Thanks for stopping by.

Today’s card (7-26)

Hi party peeps. 🙂

Meet today’s card.

Dum… dummm… dummmmmmm.

This card is a very recent one. I have to admit that s definitely one of my favorites as of late.

The Tic Tac Toe die is from Ormolu’s Game of Love Tags. Ormolu has quickly become a favorite of mine. I find myself grabbing for the small stash I have of their products a lot.

The patterned papers are from Pink Paislee. The Baker’s Twine and eyelet are from my stash.

That is all for now. I’ll be back later.

Today’s card and giveaway (7-25)

Hi all!

Another day. Another card. Another giveaway.

First, meet today’s card.

Anything paper’ish on this one is digital (well, outside of the vellum). I again used some of Sarah Hurley’s digital products. I simply opened the files and printed them on cardstock.

The ribbon, Baker’s Twine and button are from my stash.

Second, leave a note for me here today and I’ll put you in a drawing to win Sarah’s Woodland Whimsies 2 CD.

A winner will be selected at random. For more chances to win, hit Sarah’s Challenge blog. Leave  note there. And hit the links of all her challenging friends. 😉 That’s because everyone will be giving away one of the CDs.

I’ll post winners for the posts today and Saturday on Monday.

That’s all for now. Be back soon!

Thanks for stopping by.

Today’s card, giveaway and more (7-24)

Hi all!

Meet today’s card.

This one features a whole lot digital stuff designed by Sarah Hurley. Sarah is a talented illustrator and crafty girl, who lives all the way in London. Sarah recently started a challenge blog and invited me to join her team and the fun.

Sarah recently put together a couple neat and super hip CDs filled with digital products for scrapbookers and card makers. You can check them out here.

Everything I’ve used on this card (outside of the button, pearls and string) is from them. Let’s be honest, friends. I am certainly not  the most digi savvy girl, but Sarah made it easy for a non-techie like me. 😉 All I had to do was open a couple of the files up, print them on cardstock and use them like any other paper product. Way cool!

Leave a comment here today by 11:59 p.m. Saturday  and I’ll pick one person at random to recieve Sarah’s CD called Woodland Whimsies. Hit the Sarah’s challenge blog for links to the blogs of everyone else on Sarah’s team. There’s a blog hop going on today, and every person on her team is will be giving away a copy of the CD as well.  Oh yes, and be sure to leave a comment on the challenge blog, too. Sarah will give one lucky duck a copy of the CD as well.

Check back here tomorrow, too. I’ll have another card and another chance to win one of Sarah’s CDs. 😉

Today’s winner will be announced on Monday.

That is all for now. I’ll be back later.

Today’s card (7-23)

Hi all!
How is your day going?
I’ve got a couple simple cards to share with you today. I got to have a bit of fun over the last week making some quick samples with some of Zva Creative’s new products that will be debuted at the CHA-Summer show next week. I thought it would be fun to share a few of those today.

So meet #1.

Hee hee hee.  🙂 (Ok, so that hee hee hee was all evil sounding in my head as I typed it.)

And meet #2.

Same cool leafy branch but in a different color of pearls.

Let me just say, “Yum-alicous.”  I just love the leafy branch shape.

I have pictures of a few other projects made with the new stuff tucked away so consider yourself warned. I’ll be sharing them here eventually.

That’s all for now. I’ll be back later.

Thanks for stopping by.

Today’s card (7-22)

Hi all!

Meet today’s card.

This is another one I made a bit back. Never got around to sharing it so I am today. 🙂

It’s one of those decievingly simple cards. Ever make those? It looks all like one patterned paper, but really there are a few on there. I started out with this yellow piece of paper from Cosmo Cricket’s Delovely collection.

Then, I flipped it over and cut out a few pink circles from the backside. Those then went on the yellow side of the paper.

Then, I grabbed another piece of paper (this one here) and cut some more circles to put on the yellow paper.

Needless to say what should have taken a few minutes took many. 😉

The gems are from my stash. The letters are also from Cosmo Cricket.

That’s all for now. I’ll be back later.

Thank you for stopping by!
