Fall | Winter Coffee Loving Cardmakers Hop – 1

Hi, guys!

The Fall | Winter Coffee Loving Cardmakers Hop kicks off today, and I was totally inspired to play and make a card for it!

Here we go!

PeppermintMugsCard-teri

This one uses images from an old retired stamp set (and dies) from Simon Says Stamp! called Winter Warmth. The words (and the little heart) are from the Christmas Cocoa stamp set from Technique Tuesday.

PeppermintMugsCard2-teri

Nothing really fancy here. I colored the images in with Copic markers. To give the red mug a little sparkle, I rubbed a little glue on the heart and dumped some glass glitter on top. Easy peasy.

The patterned paper on the card? That’s some older stuff from Echo Park Paper. I kinda go crazy with stripes and polka dots papers because they are timeless and can be used right away….. or a long time later (insert: after I’ve hoarded away even more patterned paper. Wink!)

Alright! That’s what I have. Be sure to check out the link up for the hop. Lots of awesome projects have already been uploaded, plus there’s a lot of great sponsors taking part as well.

Be back again later, gators.

Technique Tuesday Dec. Countdown – Day 2

Hi, friends!

Me again. I’m back, sharing a couple more cards made with some new products that will debut Dec. 1st on the Technique Tuesday website.

Today’s cards were made with the new Joyous Juniper stamp set from their Greenhouse Society.

FindBeautyJuniperPurpleClose-teri

This new stamp set is lovely. It comes with a branch, an extra berry to make the branch bigger and a couple sayings

For this card, I stamped the branch, colored it in with markers and then added some glitzy by putting on some glitter glue.FindBeautyJuniperPurple-teri

Turned out kinda fun!

I again used the branch on this second card. This time, I went for more blue than purple berries so I used a softer color scheme. Again, I wanted there to be a little glitz so I added some glitter glue to the edges of the berries.

I also used colored pencils to add a little extra dark highlights to the Juniper branch after I did the initial coloring with markers.

It turned out pretty fun, I think.

You’ll find all the new Technique Tuesday products here on the 1st. And you’ll find a list of all the TT design team members hopping today on their blog.

I’ll be back again later, gators. Thanks for stopping by.

TT Dec. Release Countdown – Day 1

Hi, friends!

Technique Tuesday’s getting ready to release some new products on Dec. 1st, and I’m happy today to share with you a card made with some of the new goods.

gnawsomebeavercard-teri

Created this guy with the new Beau & Beatrice Beaver stamp set (and coordinating dies) from their collection of Animal House stamps and dies. They are such cute stamps…. and perfect in Oregon, where the beaver is the mascot of Oregon State. 😉 (Go, Beavs! Wink!)

This set has some cute elements for making stamped woodland scenes with as the snail, log and branch are from the set too. Super cute.

Anyhoo! That’s all I have for you.

Don’t forget to hit the Technique Tuesday website here on Dec. 1st to see all the new products. Plus don’t forget to stop by the Technique Tuesday blog for links today to all the design team members sharing projects. There’s lots of cool stuff to see seen!

I’ll be back again tomorrow with another card (or two) to share that uses some of the new goods. Hope to see you then.

25 Days of Christmas Tags – Jillibean Soup

Hi, friends!

I’m thrilled today to share a couple tags inspired by Tracey McNeeley’s 8th annual 25 Days of Christmas Tags.

Today, Tracey and friends are sharing tags that feature products from Jillibean Soup.

I’m contributing two tags for today’s fun. Both of my tags were created with Jillibean Soup’s Holiday Shape Shakers collection.

25Tags2018-Jillibean3-teri

This little tag was created with a couple of their new stamp and die sets: Llama Holiday and Be Tacky. I gotta tell you that little llama just slays me. Such an adorable little dude to use on holiday gift tags…. and Christmas cards, too. 25Tags2018-Jillibean4-teri

This next little tag uses the Merry & Bright stamps and dies to do the trees , plus the Llama Holiday and Loads of Cheer stamps and dies to the sentiment.25Tags2018-Jillibean1-teri25Tags2018-Jillibean2-teri

One thing I feel the urge to say is how much I enjoyed mixing and matching the stamps and dies from Jillibean’s Holiday Shakers collection together. They all are really fun to mix and match…. and I’ve always had a soft spot for doing that when I craft.

Alrighty. That’s what I have. Be sure to stop by Tracey’s blog for tons more holiday tag inspiration. So, so, so many great ideas to be had. So much inspiration!

Alright! That’s it for now. I’ll be back later, gators. Thanks for be-bopping on by. It’s a total treat when you do.

25 Days of Christmas Tags – Technique Tuesday

44525104_10213456480951907_1009268704120143872_n

Hi, friends!

I am super excited to share a tag inspired by Tracey McNeeley’s 25 Days of Christmas Tags.

What is Tracey’s 25 Days of Christmas Tags event you ask? Well, for quite a few years now, Tracey has invited folks to create Christmas tags in November. It’s a super fun event with lots and lots (and lots) of tag inspiration.

Technique Tuesday is sponsoring her event today, and I’m super thrilled to contribute a tag of mine to the fun.

25Tags2018-TT-Cocoa-teri

Created this little guy with the new Christmas Cocoa set, which just came out on the 1st. (Confession time: I designed it myself.)

I stamped the mug on cardstock, colored in with markers and then fussy cut it with scissors. I applied a bunch of glue to the foam and dipped it in glass glitter to add that touch of sparkle.

I sponged some blue ink on a rectangle of cardstock and added the mug, some stamped hearts and a few drops of white Nuvo Crystal Drops.

25DaysTag2018-2-TT-teri

Then I cut a shape and adhered the panel to it with Crafty Foam Tape from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L.

I finished the tag by stamping a few words and popping a hole the top of the tag and adding some red twine. I think it turned out pretty great.

I’m planning on using this tag on a holiday package, but I think it would look pretty swell on a card too.

By the way, don’t forget to comment over on Tracey’s blog post. There’s a Technique Tuesday gift certificate up for grabs. It’s always fun to have a chance to win something. for just saying a few kind words and all. Fingers crossed that one of you takes it home.

Thanks, as always, for stopping by. I sure appreciate it when you do. It’s always a treat! See you again soon.

Technique Tuesday Release Day

Hi, gang!

It’s Release Day at Technique Tuesday, and I’m sharing a few projects made with the new Calendar Builder stamp set.  (You’ll find the stamp set, as well as all the other new products, right here.)

This new stamp set is pretty cool because you can use it make all kinds of stamped calendars. There’s a huge stamp with the dates in the set, plus there are months, years and fun design elements. (I worked with Bev to put some examples and tips for using it so watch for the video she’ll put together with that stuff. It will be out in November. )

I created this calendar for a desk with the stamp set. Each page has a month stamped on it. I used the decorative elements in the set to mark holidays and important dates, plus add lines between the dates and month titles.

clipcalendar-teri

Not a fan of desk calendars? Another idea I have for the set is just making little month calendar pages that could either be hung with magnets on a fridge or placed in a photo frame. The calendar pages I created here use the calendar stamp set, plus artwork from other Technique Tuesday stamp sets.

These calendars are a good way to use lots and lots of your stamps.

One other idea for the Calendar Builder set is to pair it with Technique Tuesday’s Story Card die. The calendar fits perfectly on it.

Alright! That’s it for me today. Be sure to visit the Technique Tuesday blog for links to all the design team members who are sharing projects today as well. They’ve made some spectacularly cool projects to share with you.
