I made this guy with the new Summer Sampler stamp set, which has all kinds of fun Summer phrases.

The shells were cut with another new product, the Shell dies. I die-cut them from cardstock and then used my markers to give them a little color. If you look really close, you’ll see I die-cut the two shells in the middle twice and stacked them up, just to give the card a little extra pop.

Mix It Up Challenge, the Sequel

Hi all!

I couldn’t help myself. Had to make another card in honor of the Mix It Up Challenge over in The CLASSroom from Ellen Hutson.

Ta-da! Julie’s bear from All Inside stamp set is just so cute. 🙂 I mean, seriously, those hands! That face! Adorbs. Couldn’t resist playing again

This time, I gave him a bunch of hearts to hold. They were all cut (every single one of them) with the All Inside dies. The string of hearts? They are from the Heart Strings dies from Technique Tuesday. The string was a little longer at first, but I whacked it down a hair with scissors. Easy peasy.

Alright. That’s what I have. Don’t forget that you have until June 14th to link up projects that combine Essentials by Ellen products with Technique Tuesday products. One winner will be selected at random by the folks at Ellen Hutson to receive a $50 gift certificate.

Mix It Up Challenge!

Hi guys!

Excited to be joining up with my good friends over at Ellen Hutson in helping kick off this month’s Mix It Up Challenge.

The challenge this month involves mixing up Essentials by Ellen products from Ellen Hutson  with…. drum roll please… Technique Tuesday products. I love mixing it up and dig both companies quite a lot. Getting to use their products together is right up my alley.

So here’s what I have got to share with you.

This card uses a couple different stamp sets. I used the Favorite Human set from Technique Tuesday and the Bokeh Dots and All Inside sets from Ellen Hutson. I also used the All Inside dies from Ellen Hutson and Heart Strings dies from Technique Tuesday.

To create that blue background, I simply sponged ink onto cardstock and then samped the scribbly circle with the Bokeh Dots set.

And those single hearts? They were cut from white cardstock. I simply sponged the same blue ink on them since I didn’t have a similar blue cardstock.
