Woooo! Congrats, Samantha!

I’ll be in touch shortly so I can get your prize out to you!

Thanks to all who played along. I’ll be back later today with a new card.

Today’s card (1-26)

Hello!

Meet today’s card.

This one is the product of a late-night play session from a couple weeks ago.

It feels a bit old school. It reminds me of theΒ  old color blocked scrapbook pages that were all the rage five or so years ago. My friend had most of color blocking templates that Deluxe Cuts made for those pages. She was the woman to go to when it came to those. πŸ˜‰

Anyway, the yellow and pink blocks are from Elle’s Studio. The words are stamps from Technique Tuesday. The patterned paper is from GCD Studios.

That’s it for now.

I’ll be back later.

PS. Today is the last day to make cards for the Old Stuff challenge. The deadline is tonight at midnight.

Today’s card (1-25)

Dum. Dum. Dummmmmm.

Meet today’s card.

The paper here is from Melody Ross’ Homespun Chic collection from GCD Studios. The little circle is also from that collection.

The “for you” strips are from a larger stamp from Technique Tuesday. I stamped it once and then cut the words out to work with my card.

The stitching is my own handiwork.

Thanks for stopping by. Be back tomorrow.

PS. Don’t forget that Tuesday is the last day to make cards for the Old Stuff challenge. Click here for details.

Today’s card (1-24)

Hello!

It’s another two-fer day.

Meet #1.

This is one I made while playing with some of Zva Creative’s new releases for CHA. The butterflies are new.

The pearl circle and the individual silver crystals are older releases.

The paper here is from Basic Grey. The letters are stickers from American Crafts.

Meet #2.

This is another Zva Creative card. The glasses here are a new release.

The words are a stamp from Close to My Heart. The gold stuff is floss from DMC.

Not much more to say so thank you for taking time to stop by.

I’ll be back tomorrow.

Today’s card (1-23)

Hello!

Meet today’s card.

Gosh. Can you possibly handle another card with polka dots on it? πŸ˜‰ My name is Teri, and I have a polkie addiction.

The stripes are tape from Heidi Swapp. The star is, too. The letters are from my stash.

That’s all for now. Be back later!

Thanks for taking time out of your day to stop by.

PS. Don’t forget about the Old Stuff challenge. Deadline is midnight EST on Tuesday.

Today’s card (1-22)

Howdy!

I invite you to sit down, kick back and take a look at today’s card.

The papers here are from A Muse and October Afternoon. The crystals are all from Zva Creative. The flower is part of their new release. The letters are from my stash.

That’s all I have for now. I’ll be back tomorrow.

Thanks for stopping by!

Today’s card (1-21)

Hi all!

It’s a two-fer day.

Meet #1.

This is another one inspired by my Old Stuff challenge. For challenge details, click here.

The paper is old 7gypsies. The kraft and pink strips are tape from Making Memories. And the letters are from my stash.

Meet #2.

In keeping it real in here, I wanted to share this partly because I am certainly not an expert marker user. This end card is not perfect, but it still makes me happy. I’m glad I took the time to play. That is part of the reason I love to make cards.

To make the little fella’s glasses, I stamped the bird a second time on white cardstock. I cut out the eyes, added a little clear glaze on them and mounted them to the colored bird with foam dots. I also drew the lines for the handles with a black pen.

This one uses new stamps from Technique Tuesday. The bird is the Wise Guys set, while the music note and words hail from the Glee set. You can see their entire Winter release by clicking here. They’ve come out with a quite a few sets for card fans this time.

Thanks for stopping by! I’ll be back tomorrow.

Today’s card and the Old Stuff challenge (1-20)

Hello, hello!

How are you doing today?

I am doing things a little different today. Rather than start with the card, I am going to lead off with a challenge.

Kim put on a great challenge last week, and I decided to do one myself this week. I want to challenge all you card making fans out there to make a card using old stuff. Dig deep in your stash. Pull out some of those old papers, stamps and embellishments that you’ve been saving for a special day and make a card.

I’m calling this the Old Stuff Challenge. I guess it’s sort of an anti-CHA challenge. With all the hype about the new stuff that is coming out, it’s easy to forget the stuff we have at home. Let’s use it so we can justify getting that new stuff we want.

Leave a link to your card here or on the Paper Crafts message board under the Old Stuff challenge thread by midnight EST on Tuesday (the 26th). Everyone’s name will go in a bowl. In fact, let’s sweeten the deal.Β  I’ll give you one entry per card so the more Old Stuff cards you make, the better chance you have to win.

I’ll pick one winner at random who will receive a surprise assortment of paper crafting goodies. There will be even be a few special new goodies. πŸ˜‰

So enough challenge talk. Let me show you today’s card.

I made this card because ofΒ  my challenge.

This is the outside.

And this is the inside.

Simple card. But everything thing on this card has been in my stash for a long time. In fact, a really, really long time.

See that paper beneath the words? I am ashamed to admit this. It is 7gypsies circa 2003. No. Kidding! πŸ™‚ I have used a lot of stuff since that time (purged stuff many times, too) . For whatever reason, I have held onto that paper. And those polka dot and star strips are old, too. They are tape from Heidi Swapp. Yep. I know.

Anyway, I hope you are inspired to dig through your stash and make a card or two!

I’ll be back tomorrow.

Thanks for stopping by.

Today’s card (1-19)

Howdy all!

Meet today’s card.

All the images here are from Technique Tuesday.

The lace stamp at the bottom is from their brand new Vintage Lace clear stamp set that debuts at CHA this week. Being the long-time, nutty fan of their’s, I had the opportunity to play with a few of the new releases. I know. Tough life, right? πŸ˜‰

The words are from the Simply You set by Ali Edwards, while the leaf is from the Spiro Garden set. Both of those sets came out in 2009.

That’s all I have for now. I’ll be back tomorrow. Thanks for stopping by.
