Alright, so let’s get on with the project.

Cosmos_BrighterDays_teriFor this month’s hop, I played with the new Cosmos stamp set. Think cool stuff – moons, clouds, hearts and stars — with a super happy, super cute Paper Smooches twist.

All the stamping you see on my card here (the moon, clouds, hearts and words) was pulled off with the help of the stamp set. (And spoiler alert! I may have used some brand new, coordinating dies from Paper Smooches, as well. Yep. Just may have. Wink.)

Cosmos_BrighterDays2_teriThe card seemed a little flat when I was done with it so I pulled out my trusty stash of gems and slapped a few on the hearts! And I think they sealed the deal. Well, so to speak. 😉

So that’s all I have! Thanks again for stopping by today!

Go-to Gal Designer Challenge: The Twinery

Woot! Time for another challenge with the Go-to Gals!

Before we get started, you might want to know what the deal is with these challenges?  Well, well, well. It’s just a “for fun” thing. We pick a manufacturer’s products to use and then challenge each other to make something. Sometimes, we’ll all play. And sometimes only a few of us will. And that’s OK because it’s all about having fun… and doing something editor free! (<—-  Ha, I KID! Ok, maybe. Maybe not. Hmmm.)

So, yeah, there you go. We’ve decided this time to challenge each other to make something with twine from The Twinery.

So how about a project? 😉

g2g_twine_thebest1_teriI decided to make some twine tiles of sorts for my card! I started with white chipboard tiles, cut them into one and two inch lengths and then wrapped a rainbow-worthy assortment of twine around each of them.

I think this is probably one of my favorite ways to use The Twinery’s twine. I’ve done this tile thing quite a bit! Takes a little bit of patience, but the results are awfully cool!

g2g_twine_thebest2_teriI finished my card off with a sentiment from Avery Elle’s Handwritten Notes stamp set. Again, a fan I am. And I thought the fonts just kinda fit with fun feel of the twine!

Can’t wait to see what the rest of the Go-to Gals have cooked up! Be sure to check out the blogs of:

Thanks for stopping by today! Be back tomorrow.

Paper Smooches + Tsukineko Blog Hop (8-22)

Hi all!

So I’m blog (hippity) hopping today with the Paper Smooches design team!

We are stamping with a generous donation from Tsukineko.  We are using their new Luxe inks.

A prize is up for grabs! ONE winner will be chosen from one of the design team blogs to receive an amazing prize package. The prize consists of 2 Tsukineko Luxe inks, 2 Tsukineko Memento inks, 1 Tsukineko Versamark ink cube and ALL 4 new Paper Smooches stamp sets that release on September 1.  Definitely something to play for!  (Want a peek of the prize? Be sure to stop by the Paper Smooches blog to see it.)  All you need to do to be eligible is leave a comment as you hop. You won’t know which blog has the prize, so you will want to comment on all of the DT blogs if you can.

The deadline to enter is Sunday, August 25th.  The winner will be announced on the Paper Smooches blog on Monday, August 26th

Alright so let’s get on with the project!

PS_822_MissU1_teriI stamped the borders with Paper Smooches’ Borderlicious set. The Luxe inks I used were: Bahama Blue; Pistachio & Morocco.

The words are from Paper Smooches’ Sentiment Sampler. I find I grab this set a lot! Just a lot of really good words on it.

PS_822_MissYou2_teriTo give the borders a little kick, I randomly added some gems and pearls to it! Sparingly. But just enough to add a little kick!

Well, that’s all I have. Be back later. Thanks again for swinging by, guys! I always enjoy your kind words!

Runway Inspired Challenge #42

Hi friends!

So I’m joining Runway Inspired challenge folks (some of my favorite card makers!) for the latest Runway Inspired challenge!

Up this week for inspiration is this GORGEOUS dress of loveliness from the Peter Pilotto Resort 2014 collection.

Peter_Pilotto_029_1366.450x675_(1)Mmm. Mmm. Mmmmm.

And here’s what I came up with!

cr_Wonderful1_teriI tried to mimic the design of the dress somewhat by creating the white strip with a reverse masking trick of sorts!

I cut some sticky notes down to 1 1/2 inches wide, set them down on a white panel and then stamped the feather (from Fanciful Feathers by WPlus9) over top of the whole thing, over and over.

And ta-da!

cr_Wonderful4_teri

Then I added a little more stamping with the Incredible by Ali Edwards and Awesome (by me) stamp sets from Technique Tuesday.

I’m excited to send this a good buddy!

Can’t wait to see what the Runway Inspired crew has come up with, too! Thanks again for inviting me to play, guys! You are the bomb!

August Studio AE Blog Hop from Technique Tuesday

Hi all!

Woohoo! Time for another Studio AE Blog Hop from Technique Tuesday!

We are sharing projects this month with the newest Studio AE set, called Leaving on a Jet Plane by Ali Edwards.

Technique-Tuesday-Leaving-On-A-Jetplane-Clear-Stamps-MediumI decided to make a scrapbook page with it! I love the adventure of traveling so it was really perfect for it.

2_YouAreHere_teri_edited-1All the words on the cork panel (which is just a piece of patterned paper and not real cork) were stamped with the set.

2_YouAreHere1_teri_edited-1

I also  pulled out my Travel With Flair by Ali stamp set and stamped it out a few times on cardstock. I then took a 1″ circle punch to them out. (By the way, if you are new to Technique Tuesday, you might not know that they standardized their circle stamps with their Winter release so when you see them release a “Flair” set — whether it be designed by Ali or me, Bev or Lori – it’s sized to work with a 1″ circle punch.)

2_YouAreHere2_teri_edited-1

So that’s all I have. 🙂

Be sure to check out the blogs of everyone taking part in today’s hop:

And don’t forget to comment as you go. Technique Tuesday will randomly pick someone who leaves a comment (chosen from comments left on all the blogs) to win a $25 gift certificate! The winner will be announced on the Technique Tuesday blog on the 15th.

10 Minute Craft Dash Birthday Bash (8-7)

CD_23Hi everyone!

Celebrating, playing along and blog hopping today with the good folks from the 10 Minute Craft Dash and friends.

If you have been hopping with the crew, you should have arrived here from the blog of the talented Thuy Bui. If you are new to the hop, welcome! 🙂

If you are new to the 10 minute craft dash, here’s the scoop on this fun little challenge. It’s a good one! You start by  pulling out whatever you want to use and then you get 10 minutes (just 10) to go to crazy town and make something crafty good!

So the challenge this time is a birthday theme Here’s what I came up with in 9 minutes and 10 seconds.

10min_thinking1_teriTa-da!

I sorta lived on the edge with that “Thinking of You”sentiment (from Simon Says Stamp!). But you do think of people on their birthday, right?

The funky frame of sorts was cut with a hexagons frame die from Simon Says Stamp! I just die-cut it twice, snipped off the edges and layered it together. It’s funky, but it works! 🙂

10min_thinking2_teri

Alright, that’s all I have!

Next stop on the hop is the blog of sweet Cristina “Yainea” Nunez!  Take it away, Yainea!  (And if you get lost, just hit Pretty Pink Posh, which is also the home of the 10 Minute Craft Dash.)

By the way, be sure to comment as you hop! There will be some random prizes!

birthdaybash_bloghop(1)

And be sure to take part in the challenge, too! There’s a “spiffy prize” up for grabs for one grand prize winner! (You can take part in the challenge by linking it up on Pretty Pink Posh.)
