Here again with a card to share.
Made this one a bit ago for Paper Smooches.
I’m a fan of mixing and matching stamps from way back so that’s what I did here. I mixed and matched together a couple stamps from a couple different stamp sets: Huge Hugs and Sugar Rush (and the coordinating dies for both sets).
I think they worked well together to make a cute little scene.
And if you have been following the story of Fiona the Hippo at the Cincinnatti Zoo, this card might be a little bit inspired by Fiona. I mean, she’s just so cute… and she’s a hippo. (Wink.)
All the patterned papers in the background are once again from my box of scraps. I talk about that box a lot here on my blog-a-roo. Let me tell you a secret: It’s just a little shoebox sized box that I keep near my desk. Over the years, my collection of paper scraps has been awfully big at times. It was too much. So I purged all those tiny pieces of papers awhile back and got a shoebox and told myself that was it. If the scraps of paper don’t fit in it, they gotta go. The smaller size, at least, has helped keep things manageable.
Alright! That’s it for now. Be back later, friends.
I’m back… back again… with another card. Are you surprise? Yeah. I didn’t think so. 😉
Meet today’s card.
Created this guy with some Paper Smooches stamps and dies (Sugar Rush stamps; Party Posse stamps; Sugar Rush Icons dies; Posse Icons dies).
It seemed appropriate sharing it today since it marks the end of the Tax Season. One of my childhood memories is the end of Tax Season with my mom and grandma (both numbers ladies in their professional careers) and celebrating the end of the long stressful Tax Season by going to dinner at Sunshine Pizza. It was a real treat. Pizza and Donkey Kong & Pac-man video games. Doesn’t get better than that. 🙂
This card could easily serve as a card for the end of Tax Season… or for a birthday or some other happy occasion.
To make the birthday hats stand out on my card, I added some an enamel dot to each of them. Just a fun little finishing touch. And the patterned papers? They yet again came from my box of scraps.
Alright! That is it for now. I’ll be back again later, gators. Thanks for stopping by.
Back again with another “just for fun” card to share today.
Meet today’s card.
I used some new stamps from the Fast Food Fun stamp set from Sunny Studio Stamps to make this card. The fries, burger, hot dog and words are from the set. It’s a quirky… and fun…. set. Love stamps make you giggle, and this set does that for me.
I just used my scissors to fussy cut the images for my card here. (Not every card has to be a masterpiece. Sometimes, I just want to play and simply enough the process and not focus on perfection.)
Colored the images in with markers and then added a little extra detail with some Nuvo Crystal Drops and a white gel pen.
I cut the hearts with a die from Paper Smooches. If you look really close, you’ll see I added a red Nuvo Crystal Drop dot to the middle of each one. Super subtle.
All the papers? They are random scraps from my stash, other than the white and gray one, which is from the cover of a pad of paper (a really, really old pad of paper) from Studio Calico.
Alright! That’s it for now. I’ll be back again later, gators. Thanks, as always, for bopping on by.
Me again. Back for another day of super “hoppy” bunny card challenging with Ashley!
This is today’s card.
Another card heavy on patterned paper with just a little bit of stamping.
Here’s my thing. I LOVE (no wait… super duper-sized LOVE) cards that depict scenes. But sometimes I want a simple scene and not one that features a ton of stamped images. Sometimes, I just want a couple cute things to take the stage. So that’s what I was shooting for with this little guy.
I think he turned out pretty cute. The words and bunny are from Lawn Fawn’s Some Bunny stamp set. The carrots are from the Bunny Friends set from Pretty Pink Posh. And the little die-cut hearts? They were cut with dies from Paper Smooches.
The papers yet again came from my little tiny box of scraps. Always enjoy mixing and matching.
Alright! That’s all I have for you. I’ll be back again later, friends.
Thanks, as always, for hopping on by. Be sure check out Ashley’s blog to see her latest card too!
Just stopping by to share a card today that was over the one Paper Smooches blog last week.
Truly, I think I smiled the entire time I was making this little card.
The fruits are all from the Fruitastic stamp set, an oldie but still seriously cool goodie from PS. The cart was cut with their Grocery Cart die, which is on sale right now for a killer price of $5.
I was feeling a bit adventurous when I made this card. Rather than using my Copic markers, I used some Spectrum Noir markers I inherited to do the coloring. Not like there’s much of a difference with alcohol ink based markers, but there is a curve figuring out what markers blend together in a way that makes you happy, you know. 🙂
To finish out my little scene, I added a few hearts (cut with a Paper Smooches die), as well as a few sequins and dots (made with Nuvo Crystal Dots…. I’m an addict. I can’t stop. Heehee!)
Alright! I’m totally out of things to say so that’s all I got. Keeping it real. That’s me. (Wink!)
Thanks for stopping by, guys!
Another day. Another card to share.
Made this guy while I still had supplies out from my last challenge with Ashley.
You just can’t go wrong with dogs! The cute dogs, dog stuff and dog words are from a dog stamp and die set by Mama Elephant and produced by Hampton Art. The set is based on Mama Elephant’s Playful Pups set. (It’s the cutest!)
I was feeling adventurous when I colored in the dogs so I gave one of the dogs some spots. They might be a little too perfect to be realistic but, you know what they say, anything is possible in card land. Wink, wink!
The friend word is from a stamp set from Paper Smooches, while the hearts were cut with some dies from Lawn Fawn.
All the patterned papers are just random pieces from my box of scraps.
Alright! That’s it for me today. I’ll be back again later, friends. Thanks, as always, for stopping by.
