A handmade card by Teri for Paper Smooches // terisplace.wordpress.comMade this guy with the brand new Silhouette Flowers dies. They are the bomb. Plus, the sentiment is from a new set, too. It’s the Kindness Sampler set, which is just plain packed with great phrases.

Silhouette-Flowers-Dies-Close-Teri-Paper-SmoochesTo make the little blooms (and dragonfly), I die-cut them from good ol’ white cardstock and then sponged on good ol’ water-based dye ink. You know, nothing fancy. I didn’t use Distress Ink, Oxide Ink or anything super fancy. Just plain old dye ink… that I’ve had in my stash for years. Ages, really. 😉 Then I splattered the blooms with water. I was liberal with the splattering. Patted the blooms (mostly) dry with a paper towel. Then to speed the final drying, I did blow my heat gun on them for maybe half a minute to a minute… because I wanted them on my card and I wanted them on my card… NOW. Wink.

A handmade card by Teri for Paper Smooches // terisplace.wordpress.comThe end result was… well… is… pretty fun, huh?

Ok, friends… that’s all I have for you today. Happy blog hoppity hopping, friends. See you again soon! (Thanks, as always, for stopping by.)

A handmade card for Paper Smooches by Teri // terisplace.wordpress.com

Created this guy with a couple new Paper Smooches’ products – the New Beginnings 2 stamp set & the Grad Cap dies and the Rose Frame dies. The little frame? That’s from the Rose Frame dies.

I wanted to do something a little more graphic inspired to go with the sentiment so I cut several tassels from cardstock (with the Grad Cap dies) to make that little tassels garland of sorts. The thing about tassels? Well, they are cool for grad stuff, but really they are cool celebrating in general too!

To make the tassles pop, I added some dots with some Nuvo Crystal Dots stuff. Kinda fun, right? I think so!

Well, that’s what I have for you today. Thanks, as always, for stopping by! Your kind words are always appreciated! Happy blog hopping!

I created this guy using a couple of Paper Smooches’ new products: Pineapple 1 dies, Pineapple 2 dies and the Pineapple Crush 2 stamp set.

The dies for Pineapple 1 and Pineapple 2 aren’t an exact match but I thought they sure looked fun when mixed together.

Alright! That’s what I have. I’ll be back again later, gators. Thanks, as always, for stopping by!

A handmade card for Paper Smooches by Teri // Terisplace.wordpress.com

Ta-da! Had some fun with this little croacker. (Hee hee, I couldn’t resist.)

I used a couple new Paper Smooches products – the Critter Card Puns stamp set and the Bear Frog Card Dies. Made the little froggy with the dies. To make those little cheeks (because you know, I am all about cute), I applied some chalk to the card and then little dabs of white Nuvo Crystal Drops.

The sentiment was stamped entirely with the stamp set. I used a little red pen to draw the editing mark. Trying to be funny there.  Wink

A handmade card for Paper Smooches by Teri // Terisplace.wordpress.comAlright, guys! That is all I have for you today. Be back again soon. Thanks, as always, for swinging by.

Today’s card (2-20)

Hey all!

Me again. Here with a card to share today.

A handmade card by Teri // terisplace.wordspress.com

Made this one with the new Sweets dies from Paper Smooches, as well as their Celebrate word die and Chit Chat stamp set.

To make the little candies, I just randomly cut candy pieces from cardstock and patterned paper scraps. To give some of them a little bit of glitz, I added hearts topped with glitter glue. Such a simple thing but perfect for giving things pop-a-roo.

Alright. Not much more to say so this is a short and sweet post. That’s good sometimes, right?  I’ll be back again later. Thanks for stopping by, guys. See you again soon.

FEBRUARY is Paper Smooches’ Anniversary month, They are celebrating 6 years of good stuff!  Be prepared for a TON of fun all through the month of February!

OK. Enough hop-talk-a-roo… and all that jazz.

Here’s the project I cooked up to share with you.

A card created with clear stamps and steel dies from Paper Smooches // terisplace.wordpress.com

I made this bad boy with the new Let’s Celebrate stamp set and coordinating steel dies. Balloons are pretty much “the thing” when it comes to celebrations and this stamp set is packed with them. You agree?

To make a couple of the balloons stand out, I stamped a heart and then plopped in the middle of them. It’s just… kinda… fun. I think.

ps_letspartystampset_close_teri

I love that stamped word especially. Looks so cool when cut out with the coordinating die. To cut it out, I stamped the word and then placed the die on top. To keep the die from moving when I ran it through my Big Shot, I plopped on a little sticky note tape. It’s strong enough to hold the die in place and yet removable so no ink gets removed.

Alright, friends. That’s it for now. I’ll be again soon!

Today’s Gift Tag

Hi all!

Just quick little something to share with you today.

A handmade Valentine's tag created with stamps from Paper Smooches // terisplace.wordpress.com

Had some fun making this guy for Paper Smooches with the new Courteous Cuties stamp set (and dies) and For You tag die.

To give the little dude some color, I used  a couple markers – a gray for highlights, a couple flesh tones for the legs and ears and a really soft pink for the cheeks. Those cheeks are pretty subtle but look really, really, really, really close and you’ll see them. See? Told you. Wink.

This tag could pretty much go on any gift package. I decided instead to go all Valentine’s Day like with it and fill up a little bag with Valentine’s Candy Corn and then add it to it. Easy peasy.

Alright. That’s all I have you today. I’ll be back again later, friends. Hope you are having a super day.
