CASE Study 3rd Anniversary Blog Hop (8-1)

CS anniversary badgeHi all!

Thrilled to be joining the lovely bunch over at the CASE Study challenge for their 3rd anniversary blog hop.

You should have arrived from the blog of sweet Barbara Anders! If you are just joining the hop, welcome!

I dig the CASE Study folks because (1) they super nice and are all about just having fun and crafting and (2) they encourage being inspired by others! Every week, they draw inspiration from another crafter. It’s always fun to see what inspired them and how they turn that inspiration into a new project!

For the hop, we were invited to pick something or someone who inspires us.ย  And I was really inspired by the first sentiment on this Work Hard piece of graphic design work by Mary Parkis. I really loved the treatment she gave the letters so I wanted to mimic that look somewhat.

So meet my “inspired” card! ๐Ÿ™‚

grateful1_terigrateful2_teri

Here’s how I got the multi-colored look.

First, I die-cut the grateful phrase from good old white cardstock. (By the way, the die is from Papertrey Ink.)

grateful3_teri

I set it on scratch paper and then I started rubbing my super juicy, Hero Arts neon inks all over them.

grateful4_teri

First one color. Then the next.

grateful5_teri

I kept going until I got something like this.

grateful6_teri

Ta-da!

That’s what I have for you!

Next stop on the hop is the blog of (super awesome) Laura Bassen!

Happy hopping!

New Stamps and More! (7-30)

Hi everyone!

Just wanted to give you some heads up that Technique Tuesday just debuted some new products I played a part in!

I designed eight stamp sets:

https://i0.wp.com/distilleryimage9.ak.instagram.com/1e82b144f58511e2911522000a9e087e_7.jpg

I jumped a bit head first into this release and added a little bit of my handwriting (at the request of some ofย  my crafty friends out there) to these sets. Fun, but also super intimidating to do it. ๐Ÿ™‚

Technique Tuesday has also released some coordinating steel dies (universally compatible and made in the USA style) that work with a couple of the stamp sets.

There are leaf dies that work with the I Give Thanks stamp set.

And there are flags and flag pole dies that work with the Flags Are Flying set.

Really, really pumped about these and being able to use them on my card and scrapbooking projects.

In addition to that, they’ve released this die based on the designs in the previously released Puffy Hearts stamp set.

These aren’t meant to be stamped on. Just die-cut and put together! ๐Ÿ™‚

Here’s a look at how two of them look when all put together. (Nevermind the hand model. Wink!)

https://i0.wp.com/distilleryimage2.ak.instagram.com/ebd621acf3ec11e2930122000aa80191_7.jpg

They’ve also released a Puffy Hearts Single die set, which consists of a circle and heart. All the hearts in the stamp set can be stamped on it. Also, the buttons in the set can be stamped on the circle.

Die - Puffy Hearts Single - PREORDER

Everything is available for pre-order now. It starts shipping in early to mid August!

By the way, here is a picture are a few other favorites of mine from the Summer release that were designed by Ali, Bev and Lori!

I built the scene with Paper Smooches’ Reflections stamp set, as well at the Reflections dies and Paper die. (Special note to my friend, Perrie, I know! I didn’t fussy cut! Shocking! Hee!)

So that’s all I have! I’ll be back again soon!

Thanks again for swinging by! I appreciate all your comments and kind words!

Go-to-Gal Designer Challenge: The Craft’s Meow

Hello all!

Time for another challenge with the Go-to-Gals! Today, we are playing with stamps from the Craft’s Meow!

Before we get started, you might want to know what the deal is with these challenges? Well, simple.ย  It’s just a “for fun” thing! We pick a manufacturer’s products to use and then challenge each other to make something. Sometimes, we’ll all play. And sometimes only a few of us will. And that’s OK because it’s all about having fun!

Alright so let’s get on with the projects! Yes, I said projects! ๐Ÿ˜‰

Here’s No. 1.

g_rev1_teri

g_rev2_teri

And here’s No. 2.

g_speedracer1_teri

g_speedracer2_teri

I used the Craft’s Meow Zoom Goes by Heart stamp set for both of these bad boys. Totally cute!

For the first one, I also added a little bit of duct tape, because, in my world, it’s a staple for the guys I know. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Alright, that is all I have. Be sure to check out the blogs of the other Go-to-Gals!

Can’t wait to see what they came up with!

Be sure to check

Avocado Arts: Project Share (7-21)

Hi all!

I’m over on the Avocado Arts blog today, sharing a few projects with their Grillin’ and Chillin’ stamp set so I thought I’d share them over here, too!

Meet #1.

Relaxglasses_TeriRelax_Glasses2_teriMeet #2.

RelaxChairs_teriAnd meet #3.

SmileSuits_teriPretty much everything stamped on them is from the Grillin’ and Chillin’ stamp set!

For more scoop on the cards themselves, please hit the Avocado Arts’ blog! ๐Ÿ™‚ย  (I rambled on… a lot… over there! Hee!)

Be back later, friends!

Today’s card (7-19)

Hi all!

Another day. Another card! ๐Ÿ™‚

2_Blog_CirclesHello2_teri_edited-1Had a crazy idea for this one and just sorta ran with it!

I created the circle borders on my computer and cut them out with an electronic die-cutting machine, and then stamped right on top of them with stamps from my With Flair stamp set from Technique Tuesday.

2_Blog_CirclesHello3_teri_edited-1To give the card a little extra kick, I stamped the hello circle (also from With Flair) on a 1″ punched out circle and adhered it on the border with a little foam tape!

Sorta fun!

That’s all I have! Be back again later!

Hope you are off to a good weekend!

Today’s card (7-17)

Hi all!

Meet today’s card!

Blog_everything1_teriMy blog has been somewhat low on the priority list with lots of work-related tasks on my line-up. I’d love to tell you it’s because I’m chasing publication deadlines and all that, but nada. It’s paperwork, spreadsheets, meetings and… you know… the administrative, work-type stuff that has to be done that no one ever talks about. Exciting, yes. But blog-worthy? Um, not so much. ๐Ÿ™‚

Anyway, it’s good to just share a card with you today!

blog_everything2_teriThe leafy strips here are a die from Simon Says Stamp! I cut the strips out with wool felt. I tried to be all clever and stitched sequins onto it.

The words are a sentiment stamp from Simon Says Stamp! as well.

The text paper is from October Afternoon’s Travel Girl collection.

Be back again later!ย  Hope you are having a great week!

July Studio AE Blog Hop from Technique Tuesday (7-10)

Hi all!

It’s Studio AE Blog Hop time again, and I’m happy to share a few projects made with the newest set from Ali Edwards and Technique Tuesday.

Just in case you haven’t seen Label Maker by Ali Edwards yet, here’s a peek.

  • Technique-Tuesday-Label-Maker-Ali-Edwards-Clear-Stamps-Medium

Such a fun set.ย  It totally reminds me of my old trusty label maker, but in stamp form.

I was inspired to use to whip together a couple cards to share today!

So meetย  #1.

2_July_GraphicJoy1_teri_edited-1I love the office feel of the set, but wanted to do something slightly on the graphic side with it so that’s what I went with here.

Pretty much everything was stamped here, other than the lines. I just used a good old black pen to add them.

2_July_GraphicJoy2_teri_edited-1And meet #2.

2_July_DadLabels1_teri_edited-1For this one, I used just one label stamp from the set. But to mix it up a bit (and make things a bit more visually interesting), I stamped it on three different patterned papers.

The other words on this one? Well, they are from a couple other Technique Tuesday stamp sets: Loving Words by Ali Edwards and Dad Rocks by Ali Edwards.

2_July_DadLabels2_teri_edited-1Kinda fun to just mix a bunch of stamps together to make one really big message.

So that’s all I have for you.

Be sure to check out the blogs of everyone hopping today:

By the way, we’re giving away a prize.

A $25 gift certificate will go to someone (a lucky someone) who comments during the course of the hop. The winner will be announced on the 15th on the Technique Tuesday blog.

Happy hopping, and thanks again for swinging by today!

Today’s card (7-5)

Hi all!

Just a quick share today.

LF_TheSky1_teriMade this one a few months back while at a retreat with some friends and never shared it.ย  My friend, Kelly, was kind enough to let me play with Lawn Fawn’s Blue Skies set while there so playing I did.

LF_Thesky2_TeriSuch a sweet set!

I did quite a bit of stamping, fussy cutting and mixing things together for my card. Super simple card. But super fun, too!

Be back again!

Don’t forget. It’s not too late to sign up for Summer Card Camp 2 from Online Card Classes. It kicks off next week!
