PS_SeeingStars1_teri

I used the new Seeing Stars stamp set to stamp many of the stars and the “May all…” phrase.

You know, I’m never good using just one thing for the hop so.. ha… I might have used a couple other new products (cough… stars steel dies… cough… Bold Buzzwords stamp set for Celebrate… cough.) on my card. Yep. That cough sure shows up a lot. 😉

ps_seeingstars2_teri

And yep. That’s what I have for you today. 🙂

Thanks, as always, for stopping by… and for your kind words. I really appreciate them.

Be back again later, gators! Happy blog hopping!

Go-to Gal Designer Challenge: Technique Tuesday (2-26)

Hi all!

It’s challenge time again with the Go-to Gals.

Every so often, we pick a company’s products to work with and then challenge each other to make something with them. The rules are simple: There are none! 😉 Sometimes, we all play. Sometimes, we don’t.

The rest of the gang decided this time to use Technique Tuesday’s products. Majority ruled. 😉 (Kidding.)

So here’s the card I cooked up for the challenge.

2_g2g_tt_thankyou_teri

It may look clean, but there’s actually quite a bit of stamping. I stamped all the elements, other than the orange dots and black line.

I used four different Technique Tuesday stamp sets: Lots of Dots; Boy Flair by Ali Edwards; I Like You and Loving Words by Ali Edwards.

Can’t wait to see what the rest of the gang cooked up for the challenge:

And pssstttt… be sure to comment on their blogs. I hear some of them might be giving away a prize. 😉

And leave comment here, too. That’s because someone who does will get a small Technique Tuesday stamp surprise. Leave your comment by Feb. 28th, and I’ll pick the lucky winner after that.

Today’s card (2-25)

Hello again!

Another day. Another card.

blog_l_ilikeyou1_teri

And another take on the “Laina Love” challenge with my pal, Ashley! 🙂

Pretty simple card here. Did quite a bit of color blocking. Added a little bit of vellum to tone things down a notch on the side. Sorta digging the look.

blog_l_ilikeyou2_teri

Finished it off with a couple sentiments from the Friend Request stamp set by Laina Lamb from My Favorite Things. The phone sentiment totally makes me chuckle. And since this card will go out in the real mail (rather than by email), I had to add it.

So there you have it. Be back later!

Don’t forget to check out Ashley’s “Laina Love” challenge project for today.

Today’s card (2-24)

Hi all!

Me again! And this is today’s card.

blog_l_Hellofriend_teri

Ashley and I challenged each other to make something today and tomorrow with stuff by our friend, Laina Lamb. We’ve been calling it the “Laina Love” challenge. Hee!

Anyway, made this one with the Die-namics Smart Phones steel dies and Friend Request stamp set by Laina for My Favorite Things.

If you look really, really, really close at the phone, you’ll see I cut the phone face three times and stacked it up. I really wish you could see the card in person. The phone looks pretty rad with those faces all stacked up together. The pictures don’t really do it justice.

blog_l_Hellofriend2_teri

I colored in the button and speaker with a gray marker and then added some Glossy Accents over them. I thought it just added a nice finish to the phone.

I also added layer of Glossy Accents to the red die-cut heart. Again, just added a little something, something to the card.

Well, that’s what I have. Be sure to check out Ashley’s first Laina Love Days challenge project. 😉

Today’s card (2-23)

Hello friends!

Back for more torture? Yeah, I see you there. 😉

Say hello today’s card.

blog_sss_iloveyouhands1_teri

It’s yet another card made with a stamp set and a die from the Spring 2014 release from Simon Says Stamp! (Wa-hoot!)

This time, I used the Love Languages stamp set. I also used the coordinating Love Languages dies.

I was going for a 3-D effect with the hand so I die-cut it twice and layered it together and then stamped on top. You’ll see just a smidge of that second hand, if you look really close. To really make it pop, I applied a really, really, really thick layer of Glossy Accents on top. I think it looks pretty cool.

blog_sss_iloveyouhands2_teri

And like that, I’m out of things to say. 😉 So there you have it.

Back back again tomorrow.

Today’s card (2-22)

Hello, hello!

Saturday means I’ve got a card to share!

On your mark. Get set. There ya go. 😉

blog_SSS_Happybirthday1_teriMade this bad boy with some new products from the Spring 2014 release from Simon Says Stamp! Um, yes. Awesome it is.

I created the polka dot pattern with their Medium Dots stamp stencil and some watercolor pencils from Faber-Castell. I simply used the stencil to scribble the pattern in and then spread the color with a little water. I was going for an “artsy tartsy” look so I didn’t really worry if the color spread at all. I added a layer of Glossy Accents to a couple of the dots when all finished to make them stand out a bit.

blog_sss_happybirthday2_teriThe sentiment was created by mixing together the new Happy Birthday dies with the Birthday Messages stamp set. I think that is going to be done a lot here in the future. 😉

So there you go. Be back later, gators.

Ps… I’m over on the Simple Stories blog today, sharing a few Life Documented pages. Puts me in a good mood just thinking about those couple days of fun. 🙂 Hope you will consider checking it out.

Today’s card (2-19)

Hi again!

Another day. Another card. 🙂

blog_lf_ilikeu_teri

Made this one last week and hadn’t gotten around to sharing it here. It uses the new #awesome set Lawn Fawn introduced at the CHA-W show.

And the papers are just odds and ends that I circle punched. There’s a few epoxy dots and sequins on this bad boy, too. Oh yeah, and there’s also a bit of decorative tape.

blog_lf_ilikeu2_teri

So there you have it… for now. 😉

Be back again soon!

PS. I’m chatting it up over on Moxie Fab World today about a (… dazzling…) trend I’m digging a lot right now. I’m also sharing a card over there. Hope you’ll consider checking it out.

Today’s card (2-15)

Hi all!

It is a bit of this. It’s a bit of that. And it is today’s card.

blog_ha_likealatte1_teri

And it all started because I was really wanting to make something with the Need Caffeine stamp set from Hero Arts. It’s been sitting on my desk from a couple weeks, just waiting to see some ink action.

So there I was. I was like, “Today is the day.” And this card is what happened. 😉

I forged on with my mix and matching ways, pulling a bunch of papers from different folks together. I think there’s some October Afternoon, some Pebbles and a little bit of Project Life on this one. I also tossed on a bit of Washi tape, a few staples and some awesome hearts from Chickaniddy Crafts. (<—– I love those sweet little hearts, in somewhat obsessively happy ways… truth. I speak no lies.)

blog_ha_likealatte2_teri

So yeah. That’s what I have today. 🙂

I’ll be back again later. Hope you are off to a nice weekend!

Today’s card (2-13)

Hello again!

Say hello to today’s card.

2_Blog_ItThankYou1_teri_edited-1

This is one of those “just need to get lost in the process of doing it” cards. You’ve just gotta play sometimes, you know?! 😉

I used bits of paper from bunch of different folks here: Lawn Fawn; Crate Paper; Project Life and Pebbles. The small star and snapshot were cut with the Photo Frame die from Technique Tuesday, while the paper clip was cut with a die from their Memo Pad Card die.

2_Blog_ItThankYou2_teri_edited-1

The words are what I like to call a “Teri meets Ali” combination… hee! The “It Was” phrase is from my Darn Good Day stamp set, while the Thank You is from Ali’s Loving Words set. Kinda fun to mix them together.

So that’s what I have got!

Be back later, y’all! Hope you are off to a nice day.

Today’s card (2-12)

Hi everyone!

Here is today’s card.

blog_hex_urspecial_teri

Kicking off a new ‘Happy for Hexagons” challenge over on Moxie Fab World and wanted to play along.

All the hexagons here were created with a stencil from Heidi Swapp. I just kinda moved the stencil around the card, coloring some randomly in with some of the Paper Crafter Crayons from Faber-Castell. And then I used a black pen to trace a few, too.

blog_hex_urspecial2_teri

The words are a couple stamps from Laina Lamb’s To the Point stamp set for My Favorite Things. Fun stuff!

Welp! That’s what I have got. Be back later, gators! Thanks for swinging by!
