Farm Animal Cards

Hi, friends!

It’s hard to believe it but I’m back with a couple more cards. Today’s cards include a bunch of farm animals from Lawn Fawn’s Hay There stamp set.

So, with that, meet Card No. 1.

I picked up the stamp set not long after it came out, but only recently added the dies to my crafty arsenal. This kinda pushed me to pull out the stamp set and play some more with it.

All the animals (and barn) are form the set. I created the little scenic background by stenciling a cloud background on cardstock and then adding a strip of green cardstock at the bottom. It would have been easy to just create a card with that as the background, but I decided to get all fancy-like and die-cut the scalloped circle from it. It provided a cute little background for the card, and it left me a leftover piece you’ll see me use in a minute.

So meet Card No. 2.

Remember how that leftover background piece from the first card? Yeppers. You’ll see it right here. I covered up some of the circle by adhering the animals onto it.

I created the sentiment by pairing together some stamped words from the Hay There set with a “friend” die-cut word from Paper Smooches. (Speaking of which, it’s a great time to grab some Paper Smooches stamps and dies… and stencils… as they are retiring.)

Anyway, I think both cards turned out kinda fun. And it was cool to use the background to make 2 cards. Totally two-for-one!

I hope you enjoyed checking out these cards. I’ll be back again later with a few more cards to share with you. Thank you, as always, for stopping by!

Sealiously Awesome Card

Hi, friends!

I guess I’m on a bit of a seal kick as I’ve got another seal card to share with you today. Meet today’s card.

I once again used one of the seals from the Sealiously Sweet stamp set from Sunny Studio. I colored this guy in with markers and then added a layer of clear glaze to the float and glasses. I think it just adds a little something.

I created the plaid panel with cardstock and the Buffalo Plaid embossing folder (also from Sunny Studio). I kinda just wanted to give a hint of water so I took an cosmetic sponge (old school, I know) sponged some blue ink onto the panel. It’s subtle but it does the trick!

The sentiment is also from the Sealiously Sweet stamp set. Let’s be frank. It’s a hot mess underneath. I used a combination of adhesives (Double-Sided Tape and Permanent Dots) to anchor the seal and sentiment together and then add the thread. For kicks, I present you with Exhibit A.

To anchor it on the panel, I had some leftover pieces of 3D Foam Creative Sheets on my desk from other projects I’ve been working on. I cut up a piece and slapped it on the back of the sentiment and seal. I present to you Exhibit B.

Yep. They aren’t going anywhere. Wink.

Oh, by the way, those tiny strips of cardstock. Little trick. I just cut strips of cardstock and then used my markers to try to match the colors I used on the seal’s inflatable.

That’s it for today. I’ll be back later! See you again soon, friends. Thank you for visiting my blog!

Sweet Seals Card

Hi, friends!

Here again with another card to share! Today’s card features two cute little seals.

I stamped these seals (from the Sealiously Sweet stamp set from Sunny Studio) at my last craft night with a few of my local friends, which was before the Pandemic really took hold in the US and things closed up. Gosh, that was like 3 months ago. Anyway, I pulled them out the other day, thinking, “Man, I miss crafting with the gang,” and decided to make something with them.

Honestly, it was just therapeutic coloring them in. I fussy cut them with my scissors. There was a time in my crafty life when I fussy cut ALL THE TIME. And now? Not so much! I forgot how it can be fun but can also take a lot of time.

I created the beach and water strips from cardstock with an old border die from My Favorite Things. I added a little ink to the water to make the seals stand out more.

The sentiment strip was created by stamping some words from the Critter Campouts set on it. Then I anchored it with Crafty Foam Tape from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L. (Have you seen their big rolls? They just introduced them this year. I’ve been a fan for a long time of their foam tape and was thrilled to get a bigger roll to use for my crafting projects!)

Side note! You might be wondering about the stamped hearts! Those are from the Fabulous Flamingos set, also from Sunny Studio. I have quite a few a few Sunny Studio sets with hearts in them. Any would have worked. I just had this set on my desk.

Alright! That’s it for now. I’ll be back again soon! Thank you for stopping by!

Just Saying Hello Card

Hi, guys!

Back again with another card to share. I was inspired to play by the latest Lawn Fawnatics Challenge, which is No. 78 and to create a scene.

Scenes are my jam, and creating a new one felt like a good reason to pull out some of my Lawn Fawn products. So, with that, meet today’s card.

I went way back for this one, pulling out my much loved Critters in the Forest stamp set to stamp the animals and tree. Gosh, how long have I had this stamp set? Since it came out. Hehe! So many stamps have come and gone from my stash since that time, but this one has stuck around. It was nice to ink it up again and play with it.

The hearts and words are from Lawn Fawn’s Simply Sentiments stamp set. It’s just a good all-around, practical set. I use it a lot.

Created the background with Lawn Fawn’s Cloudy stencil. Cut the circle out of it with one of the dies from the Outside In Stitched Scalloped Circles dies. I just picked these dies up recently, and I’m kinda sad I waited so long. They are sure fun.

Anyway, that’s all I have for now. I’ll be back again later, gators! Thank you, as always, for stopping by. It sure is a treat when you do! See you soon with another card!

PS. Thanks again to the Lawn Fawnatics crew for the fun challenge! It was great to play!
