A handmade card for Paper Smooches by Teri // terisplace.wordpress.com

Created this guy with a couple new Paper Smooches’ products – the New Beginnings 2 stamp set & the Grad Cap dies and the Rose Frame dies. The little frame? That’s from the Rose Frame dies.

I wanted to do something a little more graphic inspired to go with the sentiment so I cut several tassels from cardstock (with the Grad Cap dies) to make that little tassels garland of sorts. The thing about tassels? Well, they are cool for grad stuff, but really they are cool celebrating in general too!

To make the tassles pop, I added some dots with some Nuvo Crystal Dots stuff. Kinda fun, right? I think so!

Well, that’s what I have for you today. Thanks, as always, for stopping by! Your kind words are always appreciated! Happy blog hopping!

Today’s card (4-11)

Hi guys!

Just sharing a card I started last week and finished up this week, just in time for Easter.

The sweet girl + basket and the words are from Pretty Pink Posh, as are the sequins. Let’s be honest: I’m not the best color’er, but, good gosh, people, I try. I colored her in with markers and then added a few extra details with colored pencils and a white gel pen + some Glossy Accents and a Wink of Stella glitter pen (it’s subtle but there on the ears). I think she turned out alright.

The banner was cut with a die from Lawn Fawn (LOVE IT), and the patterned paper is from a stack of paper from My Favorite Things. Crazy thing. I colored the girl in first and went looking for patterned paper. I discovered that I am COMPLETELY lacking in purple patterned papers so I was totally lucky to find this piece in my MFT stash. I guess I could have went to the craft store (Oh, the horror! Hee!) to find something else, but I decided I could make do. Yep. Make do. (Translation: Not allowing myself to be tempted at the craft store by all the other stuff at the craft store seemed like a good idea at the time… because… seriously… who goes for one piece of paper and leaves with just one piece of paper? Not I, people. Not I. Anyhoo, I digress.)

Alright, friends. This is what I have for the day!

Thanks, as always, for stopping by. Always a treat when you do.

Today’s card (4-2)

Hi guys!

Got a card to share with you today.

Ta-da! Cha-cha! 😉

Made this one with a new faith-based stamp set I designed for Technique Tuesday that was just released as part of small assortment of faith-based products.

The set is a bit on the light-hearted side. Fun to do.

For the card, I simply die-cut a circle and then stamped on top with a sentiment and the set’s flower. I added color to the flower with markers. Easy peasy.

Because I really wanted the circle to stand out, I added a larger circle under it and then placed all those sequins around it. It took a little bit of time to arrange them, but I sure dig the look.

Alright! That’s what I have for you. Be back again later, gators.
