Alright. So let’s stopping talking about the hop and share a project! I’m super happy to share a couple planner pages I decorated with the new Planner Stencil.

A Planner Page featuring Paper Smooches stamps and stencil | terisplace.wordpress.com

I used the stencil to trace several shapes (the balloons, circles, squares, conversation bubbles, labels) with a black pen and add a little color with colored pencil. I often just sponge ink through stencils, but I’ve been on a kick lately to use stencils in this way in my planners. Pencils are nice because, especially, with planners because the color doesn’t show through thinner papers usually… like ink can if paper is lightweight.

I also added a teeny tiny bit of stamping to my pages with a couple planner friendly stamp sets from PS, Dinky Doodles 1 and Dinky Doodles 2.  These sets are great because the images are small and just packed with images that work on planner pages year round.

Alright! That’s it for now. I’ll be back later.

Thanks for stopping by. Happy hopping!

Two More Christmas Tags

25DaysTagsRedChristmas

Hi, guys!

It’s been a few days. Got a couple more tags to share as my sharing stopped with the Thanksgiving holiday happening here.

These two tags were inspired by Tracey’s 25 Days of Christmas Tags event. So sad the inspiration is nearing a close, but what fun it has been! Thank you again for putting together such a fun event, Tracey.

Meet Tag No. 1.

This one was inspired by Julie’s tag here. The bright snowflake against the white background just really caught my eye.

I cut a couple wreaths (with an older Ellen Hutson die)  from watercolor paper and colored them in with watercolors. Then I stacked them on top to make the one big wreath.

It’s really hard to tell from the picture, but I added a hint of sparkle to the wreath by spreading a thin layer of Stickles on it with my finger. It’s really, really subtle but fun.

To keep the background of the tag somewhat interesting but not too distracting, I dry embossed a piece of cardstock with this embossing folder from Sunny Studio Stamps.

I also added a sentiment stamped on cardstock (with the Feeling Frosty set from Sunny Studio Stamps).

And meet Tag No. 2.

A Christmas Tag by Teri | terisplace.wordpress.com

This one is hard to tell but it was inspired by the retro feel of Hannelie’s tag.  If you placed them next to each other, you wouldn’t be able to tell… but I can assure you, that retro feeling got my creative juices flowing.

This is a simple tag that really took just a few minutes to make with simple stamping and embellishing. So, so simple. All the images are from Wonder and Magic of Christmas set from Hero Arts, by the way.

That’s it for me today. Thanks for stopping on by! Don’t forget to check out the link up on Tracey’s blog. There are just so many amazing tags linked up that were inspired all the tags shared. It is cool to see.
